I love Little Oak its our favorite camoground. The camp hosts are great.
We absolutely loved it, very laid back, not many people, out of civilization, and beautiful. The bathrooms were always clean and the campsites were cleaned.
Nice camping long drive to get there
Little Oak is possibly the best campground Ive stayed at, nice showers and bathrooms, almost always full of TP (which isnt always the case at a lot of locations) the drive is a bit to get to stores and gas stations, but the Campsite is fantastic. Most campsites via reservation, but there are a few first come first serve.
Loved camping here a few time with my dog
Love the quiet and serenity. Peaceful and right on the lake to plenty of water access sites.
Love it. Quiet, clean place with no utilities nice facilities. Campground host is nice as well
The campground is very clean and very peaceful and great host there
Great camping for anyone that loves to be immersed in nature while still having the availability of a hot shower in a real bathroom. Though they dont have electrical connections in their cano sites, ample water stations are available along with lake front camp sites that have incredible views and lake access.
Been going here since I was a kid. Nice and shady sites, very peaceful and secluded
Beautiful ️ Campground, host were very helpful and friendly. Weve already booked our next trip.
Good place to camp the weekend away
Our experience didnt seem very family friendly. Once it got dark they wanted no noise at all. We had our grandchildren there with us they were very excited. With that and adults talking yes there was some noise. Our grandchildren are 6 months, 3 yrs, 6yrs, and 11 yrs old. It was there first time camping. We felt like we had to constantly tell them to be quiet which is almost impossible with excited children. I think in reality its a place for the elderly who are retired and have no younger kids around any more. I think the park needs to decide if its completely family friendly and open to all families wanting to have a great camping experience or if its a campground for elderly retired as mentioned before. Also on the morning when we were packing up to leave a person from the campground came to our site and told us if we were late leaving then we would have to pay more money. I wonder did she go and say this to everyone or just us. It seemed like it was just us and we were being asked to hurry up and leave. We felt very unwelcome. Little oak has always been a favorite spot of ours to go camping but we will probably rethink if we should camp there anymore.
Nice place no electric hook up
Did a drive through to see about camping soon! I love the lay out!
Wonderful place for family camping!
Great little place to camp out at.
I go every summer. It might be a long ride down, but its worth it. The best part is swimming in the lake
Great place to camp gives people with a regular work schedule a chance to camp to but it has no water or power so expect that as well
The park is beautiful. The location is great It is peaceful and quiet, and serene.Unfourtetly that was where it ended for us.The female campground host and her boyfriend/husband. Are the rudest people I have ever met.If they speak to all guest the way they spoke to me I am sure the park will be closed before the end of 2018.Be warned if you do anything that they think is inappropriate such as walk on the side of the road in dark clothing they will cuss up one side of you and down the other. They were the most unprofessional people I have delt with and really shouldnt be in any position of power. It has clearly gone to there head. I will also be contacting the state parks office to file a complaint. I will hope they dont treat people the same way as the camp ground host.
F*** Little oak campground its a old people retirement home you got to be quiet by 10 nobody goes to the woods to camp to be quiet at 10 I will not be going back
Absolutely wonderful place!
One of the best kept secrets of South Holston Lake. This campground used to be a gravel road access only but has recently been paved. The bath/shower houses are only a few years old and camping on the lake is epic. We love it there.Sites are first come first serve, no reservations.
Didnt get to stay..but will be back
I have always loved this place ever since a child.
The very worst bath rooms you will ever use. No shower curtain or partition so everything gets wet. Cranky hostest.
Beautiful place to camp
Very nice campground with water access for boats and a ton of access for canoes kayaks and such. The drive there is also beautiful.
It can be a long drive in, but this place is worth it. Secluded away from city noise and surrounded by nature.
This campground offers great access to South Holston Lake with bathrooms and showers. Good for tent and RV camping.
Not impressed. So many rules. Cant drink, cant swim, cant have your tent off the rocks, and cant use charcoal. Basically cant have fun. 0 STARS FOR ME
