What a way to kick off Grammy Week. This was my 1st time in the Grammy Museum. What a cool experience. Loved the history and the way it really showed the genres of music we have come to know and love as well as the stories behind it.An added bonus if my trip was having Grammy nominees Southern Ave and Kingfish there performing.
Wonderful addition to Cleveland MS. The Stronger Together: The Women of Country Music was a moving exhibit.
Constantly updated, amazing set up and greatly set up for covid as well
Past and present musical styles in one greatly landed out museum- that captures the meaning of the Grammys.I knew the Grammys were an important part of America culture but I didn’t know the meaning or significance of these many categories. The museum has many Interactive exhibits including dancing, songwriting Booths line dancing, and place with multiple musical Instruments for a epic jam session - I loved the drum kit!
I’ve been to the Grammy Museum three times so far. It’s very well done and I like the fact that the main exhibit changes. I’ve seen the Taylor Swift exhibit, and more currently, Jermaine Dupri and So So Def. Both were awesome! At the entrance, there’s a theater with a roughly 20 – 25 minute film showing various Grammy performances. It’s really good and is updated each year with new performances. This museum takes interaction to another level. Neyo has a video where he teaches you some dance moves. It’s really fun! A local line dancing group also has a video teaching line dancing. That video needs some work in my opinion. There are also some sound booths were you can record a track lol. It’s super fun AND I’ve actively seen the staff going around sanitizing the equipment. Two thumbs up for that! There’s a DJ booth and various instruments/microphones that you can play and sing on. My favorite part of the museum is at the end. You’ll see all of the Grammy folks who either came from Mississippi or spent a good part of their life in Mississippi. This is a must see museum if you’re ever in the area!
Wow. We loved our experience here. There is a 20 min film to view before you enter and it was really enjoyable. You can listen to Grammy winning songs, learn a dance, write and demo a song with Keb Mo, experience the advancements in sound and recording, play Roland instruments, see clothing worn by artists, and so much more. The only two issues were the Grammy winners song lists and recordings need to be updated with the last couple of years and the booth I went into for songwriting worked great until I tried to play back my demo and all that was recorded was a screeching noise. I would definitely recommend this as a must visit place!
Cool place! Yall need to go!
I felt like a kid on a field trip! I only wish I had more time to enjoy it. It was a wonderful experience. The self guided tour begins with a stop at the soundstage where you watch and listen to some of the most wonderful Grammy performances during the past 20-30 years. You learn goe and why the Grammy came to be including seeing what they look like from inception to present. They represent all genres, cover notable fashion choices, instruments, sound quality through the years from the gramophone to vinyl, cassette tape to surround sound. There are even rooms set up to record a duet with Keb Mo and an area of instruments available to have a jam session. And of course MS artists, musicians and songwriters are highlighted throughout the museum. Its a wonderful time waiting for you to come and explore it. The gift shop is full of items to commemorate your visit.
Awesomeness...interactive museum...Loved it.....
You have to see it, it is amazing
It looks decent but not worth the time, honestly. I was discouraged from taking photos and videos because its private property. But what about my personal memories? My other question is, how is this right? How is the building private property, if its a part of a public university?
A very nice facility. We attended a meeting there. Did not tour the facility
Visually interesting, a decent number of interactive displays, more interesting the more you like music.
I really enjoyed myself tonight. Legendary Bobby Rush was amazing. The hospitality at the museum was great.
It is very interesting to see a music museum in Delta area in Mississippi, despite this is a small one. It takes less than half an hour to make it.
Really educational and entertaining.
Wonderful find in the delta. Amazing building and lay out. Give yourself plenty of time to take in the entire museum
I still cant believe Cleveland, MS. managed to snag this wonderful museum. Lovely building, beautiful landscaping, always clean, extremely spacious both inside and out... Whole experience is much nicer than what you might expect from similar locations. The museum itself can be walked through in about 20 minutes if youre just there to look at the pretty costumes and pictures, but theres plenty to read and experience if youre willing to take the time. If youre bringing children, theres all kinds of stuff to keep them occupied, from playable instruments, to sound mixing booths, and even a dance class presented by Ne-Yo. The special exhibits dont rotate out very often, but annual trips could definitely be worth your time. Short, but sweet; absolutely recommended.
A MUSIC LOVER HAVEN! Something for everyone!!
Went here for a Girl Scout trip on a Saturday and it was amazing! So much for the girls to learn and explore. I highly recommend taking a tour and asking questions when exploring this place. So many neat artifacts about this location. Sign up for a class or go see a feature artist!
Had a GREAT time with my boys. The acoustics in the Soundstage are wonderful!!
Must see if you are cruising the blues trail. If you are just passing thru it is still worth a stop. Takes a little over an hour to tour. Admission is reasonable @ $14. Still building their collection but some good stuff to see. Not a big dissappintment like the rock n roll.HOF. Town of Cleveland (MS) much nicer than i expected.
A good place to go visit. I just feel like theres not really much to see. I enjoyed the 20mins movie clips of the past Grammy awards. The rest is ok.
Good history of the awards show and lots of costumes from the performances.
The Grammy museum was one of the best places we visited in the state of MS. It was extremely well executed with a great use of technology.
Great experience. A lot of great musical icons featured. Its a must see for everyone.
This place is a hidden gem! If youre anywhere within the area, go. You wont be disappointed.
A very nice place to learn about music and how and when the Grammys Award started!! Look how you can listen to the music also.
First time visiting and it was awesome. We will be back.
Great place to take the whole family. We went expecting to just kill some hours but ended up loving it!!! Planning a trip back real soon.
Have not actually use the facility but having bday party there next weekend
Ive been to music museums all over the world, and this may be the best from top to bottom. A must do!
A wonderfully interactive experience with lots of depth available. They offer great up close concerts regularly and seem to be really invested in the location. For any delta blues fans especially it’s a must stop.
It was a great place. It is not a big museum. Make sure you use your GPS. Mostly focus on musicians and singers from the state of Mississippi.
Great place to listen to music and see music related stuff
Fantastic. Far exceeded my expectations. Was a really nice date excursion with the right person. I only wished they had a little coffee bar or sandwich shop on site
Really neat museum if you are a music aficionado.
Amazing! Highly recommended for anyone interested in contemporary music of all genres.
Great experience
The displays were great. Also the history of the Grammy winners was very interesting. There was a studio as well to record your own song.
The town is small & still after all these years mostly segregated With its history i found it very surprising to come across this museum which features alot of black blues & rock historians. The exhibits were very informative. Expressing truths about african american culture & how music has changed & merged people of different walks of life together utilizing music as the bridging of amazing minds through rhythm & drums. Hopefully this facility can use its visitors that travel in this part of town to wake up the folks that live there. I pray it becomes a tool to inspire change in body mind & spirit... To remove the obvious continuous means of sustaining a color line that surrounds this lil racist town.I want to express an enormous thank you to all that was envolved in the planning & desire to pick this town to build this museum there. I pray it serves its purpose to educate those who visit young & old.
It was completely amazing...and to know that most stars were from the Delta...the history of Mississippi...
This place is very nice and educational. Also is fun to hear yourself make music and sing karaoke. Good place to visit.
World class museum in a small Delta town.
Possibly the best music related museum Ive yet visited. Highly recommended!!
Nice place for every one to learn and enjoy.
Loved it!!!!! A great venue for music lovers and their families. Go enjoy music while learning how important our music history has been in America and our great states impact on our music.
Fun family outing! Beautiful facility. The delta is so lucky to have a facility like it.

A place full of history, if you love music youll enjoy it
Great new museum and beautifully designed. The museum isnt huge but there is plenty to see and lots of interactive exhibits. We spent close to 3 hours here and could have stayed longer if we didnt get hungry. Well worth a visit if you are anywhere near the MS Delta.
THE MUSEUM SHOULD INCLUDE,DISPLAY AND RECOGNIZE THE LEGENDARY GOSPEL SINGERS THE BRONNER BROTHERS.BORN AND RAISED RIGHT NEAR THE CLEVELAND AND PERTSHIRE COMMUNITIES.THEY BECAME NATIONALLY KNOWN FOR THEIRHISTORICAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE GOSPEL MUSIC INDUSTRY.
Wonderful!
The Taylor Swift Experience is an incredible exhibit . It will take several trips to absorb it all, because the content is amazing. The conversation with Liz Rose tonight was also a dynamite program. The programming is exceptional.
Very nice facility
It was very well done. The trip to Cleveland, Ms. Was enjoyable.
