I was here for the chula vista bmx race track... Great track, super technical, fast and well maintained... If it was a crowded day parking could be an issue. Also if you are coming for the track make sure you are there when the gates or open or I am pretty sure you cant get in
Great place for BMX training.
The training facility is awesome. Ive been goin to to facility when it was the Olympic Training Center. My two boys & I race @ChulaVistaBMX every Friday night. And my kids race on Total Points Tuesday as well. The track is super rad & fun for the whole family whether youre yelling PEDAL PEDAL PEDAL from the bleachers or youre on the track itself. Tyler Brown & his wife Kassie run the track. It is well maintained at all times. 316 Racing bike shop is available on site. You can rent a helmet & bike to practice or race.
Great infrastructure. You can found bicycross ramps and, archery, rugby fields, lakes, er . You also can be part of the tours ( ask the administration for the prices, they are super friendly and kind ).And if your are looking for a venue for your event, they can host almost any type or size, bootcamps, fundraisers and they even host weddings and quinceañeras. They have a big parking lot for visitors, and a extra spots to leave your car.In some cases or special events you have to pay for it ( $ 10 minimum). If you assist to the open areas dont forget to bring water, snacks, a cap and solar protection. And remember respect the environment dont disturb the native flora and fauna ️ ( if you meet some athlete you can ask for a photo, they dont bite, just be sure of dont interrupt their training and ask properly for it ). Because they are part of the charm of the place. Stay tuned for the signs .
Hidden gem in Chula Vista, also probably the most historically significant place in Chula Vista and only historically significant place in Eastlake. This place and its facilities are amazing and the dedication and effort the athletes put in to make the Olympics is something that you can not graps until you see it first hand.we all know that its hard work but until you speak with them and watch the train you have no idea. Highly recommend if you live here you stop by and see it first hand . Many people have no idea this place exist.
Great memories of training for London 2012 and being on Team USA
This was the best part of the trip! Had a great tour and wonderful food. Everyone we met was friendly
I had a track meet here that I attended here and it was nice! The facilities were all very clean and well-kept. The mountains in the background, along with Otay Lake make for a really gorgeous backdrop. I would come back here in a heartbeat. There is a restroom right at the track that you can use. From the track, there is a path that runs in either direction, which you can run on and it will even take you outside the gate to the lake and there appears to be plenty of trails there. It was easy to find parking and the front building was really cool to see. I cant speak on anything else, but walking around the other facilities, they have a lot of things here and every sporting venue/weight room, etc. looked great.
This place is really great. Beautiful casino. The pizza was cool in an old fashioned oven. So we decided to go ahead and order one. Omgosh, it was sooo good. Im not a big fan of pizza anymore,I kind of avoid it as a fine out choice. But this pizza was good.
Beautiful training center! Clean and beautiful fields as well
Very nice place lots of history and once in awhile you can see the olympic athletes
Beautiful!! @lafc10justinprada @usynt camp
We have family in Chula Vista and while there I loved to walk on all of the amazing outdoor areas. They live near this elite training facility and I could walk there every day. Got to watch the rugby team and the cricket teams practicing. This facility is amazing and the walking area is wonderful. Such a great place!!
Good stuff.
Deliver golf carts to staff here. Home grown and athletes all over America train to compete in the Olympics.
Its a great experience. Whent with kids on field trip and met athletes.
This place is totally awesome!! Its fast East Chula Vista, taking toll road 125, would be better to get there. It was little deserted looking but has ALOT inside to see! We had a tour from a nice and polite female, forgot her name! Real Olympians train here, they have bike tracks, running tracks And we got to see people training also . They had several diffrent type of sports trainings there! Its like there own little campus and its pretty neat and cool! I recommend the tour 5 weekday, lots of parking. One or two of tracks are open to public, bike tracksvtgst is.
We got there after their last tour and all the athletes were done practicing do it want very interesting but they are cool facilities.
What an awesome place to go and train and compete.. my boys were in the archery competition this year for the first time ... great program awesome people
Super cool facility. Not open to public though.
The facilities are amazing. The resources like the equipment and fields - tracks, weight room, dining areas, living areas - are designed and scheduled for all the athletes. The decor and images inspire you by seeing photos and personal items of previous Olympians. Fun stuff includes standing on a fake podium as if you had won and their Olympic torch. Definitely worth the trip!
We saw indoor collegiate archery tournament. It isnt intended for audiences but the facility looked like a super training facility
BMX track is super sweet. Ive never seen anything like it!
The place has photos of famous Olympians. And has history of the Olympics. Nice place.
This place is really great.
The store was closed. No one was around to answer any questions.
Great place to see 4th of July fireworks
Beautiful place with really cool arenas. Too bad you arent allowed to take any photos...
This place is really great!
Pretty interesting place to tour. Youd be surprised by the different facilities available for Olympic Athletes to train on. BMX and Archery events are open to the public. Great healthy sports for kids and the people are all very friendly.
Incredible training facilities with public access to a mile long walkway throughout the entire complex!
My recent visit to the Chula Vista Elite Athletic Training Center was phenomenal! The level of respect and professionalism cannot be understated. The athletes that we brought down said that it was life changing. I look forward to returning in the future.
Very nice and lots of fun-the BMX track (at front) was very good and has a nice pump track behind it.
I went to the archery location within the complex and I was very impressed w/ their organization and bathrooms. It was clean and obviously maintained well. The only downside for the archery building was that it required a long walk from the parking lot. Other than that, I had a nice experience overall.
This place is huge and beautiful.
Fabulous!!!!! Cant think of a more ideal place to have such a place where world-class athletes can live & train.
Very interesting tour. Tour guide was knowledgeable and very nice. The grounds were well maintained and there were plenty of athletes present to view and they all smiled and seemed happy to see people visiting. Great overall experience.
One of the best Bmx tracks in the Nation!
Great archery training complex. Nice fields.
Excellent athletics facility.
Im going to race for gold cup finals for BMX
Nice place for a Spring break training camp. The team got in some good work, and my working environment was fantastic. I hope to have the opportunity to return.
Huge facility with all sports you can think of. Pretty expensive for daily use if you dont have a team USA pass.
My daughter has been blessed to train at Chula Vista. God bless all of you who are helping her maximize her God given gift.
Olynpic train8ng center is cool. Lots of athletes here and good view.
Great facilities and great fields... Dont forget the food schedule is amazing. Top Notch!
My husband and I visited yesterday and we had a really good time here. It has great views of the mountains, it is very informational and theres lots to see. You can do a self-guided tour or there are other options for tours. I think on Saturdays, you can get a guided tour. We did the self guided tour and...
Interesting site to visit at no cost with beautiful views. Free self guided tours from 9am to 5pm daily and a guided tour at 11am. Also a nice, quiet place to walk with the family. The gift shop sells about everything Olympics you could want, shirts, coffee cups and various other items.
I attended a tournament out at the grass soccer fields so my experience is limited to that portion of the complex. The grass way very nice, short, and dense. The four fields all appeared to be well maintained with a few rough spots. Plenty of parking in the dirt lot back by the fields.
Beautiful and aspiring place. Very well kept and is seated on gorgeous view of hills and the weather is almost always very nice to be outdoors.
Expect to walk long distances. - bring toilet paper and hand sanitizer as the port-o potties are DISGUSTING. Also bring water as they are slow to fill the buckets. But the fields are nice.
Great facility, I rode the BMX track for the first time there. It was awesome! Best in San Diego area.
Jessica took us on theBronze tour, which was great. The facilities are very up to date. Jessica was very knowledgeable, personable and positive. We are looking forward to scheduling a Gold tour in the near future.
Neat place. Saw Tim Howard and some other olympians.
Olympic Gold experience! You must visit ASAP to fully immerse. And come several times as you will see Paralympic and Olympic athletes at all times of the day at work! Highly recommend the tours. Call ahead for a group or visit the web to tour what you prefer. Always self guided tour. And only take Visa for credit at Team Store.
Went to the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista California to see an annual firework show. It is a nice facility. I have been there on several other occasions to watch my son play lacrosse. As for the training for athletes I have not been there for any events or practices. The fireworks were very nice.
It has everything! And a great out-of-the-way setting. Not crowded. Simply...perfect!
My family always loves the BMX Hall of Fame Banquet held here at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. Beautiful scenery, great location. Just one more great thing to do in San Diego.
Had an excellent tour from insiders .Wow. They have their own mini orchard!! What a wonderful venue. We hate to see this training center go to the wolves but 21 year run . Thank you to all the Staff and best wishes to all
Very, cool place to work at. And, meeting different athletes from around the world. Lovely views of Otay Lake watching rowers and kayaks on the water.
This is San Diegos hidden gem!!! Not many locals or tourist know about this once-in-a-life-time opportunity. The tour(s) are free and take you through the life of an Olympic Athlete. If youre lucky youll even get to see Olympic Athlete/Team or two.
Great athlete support. Cafeteria is excellent. Not a lot for public to do, but fun to look around. Cafeteria is for athletes only.
Wish it had not been turned over to the city
Fireworks on the 4th were great
Beautiful fields!! We were there for a soccer tournament.
It was great finally getting to see where our Olympic Athletes train. The facility is simply amazing and beautiful. It really gives you a sense of the level of skill and preparation our Athletes go through in order to compete.
We did a tour of this place a few months ago. It has some amazing features.
Went here for a field hockey tournament. Very large training facility.
Well designed, professional and well namers with employees, very comfortable.
Great place for training if you want to be in the Olympics
Today was the San Diego-Imperial Council Scout Fair! There were lots of fun things to do for the kids!
Bmx camp is great, run by real pros!! Very very friendly towards kids..
The Olympic Training Center was a wonderful place. They treated everyone fairly and were supporters of youth athletes. The City of Chula Vista took over and the newly named and run Elite Athlete Training Center and it is a joke. They have kicked out kids and destroyed dreams. Only after threatening to go to the media and letters to the city did they come up with a contract that was a complete joke, and they threatened back that we were not to go to the media. They are trying to shake down a school for money it does not have and treat the athletes like dirt because they are young. They are kidding themselves if they think they can get $5000.00 to host an event at a track that has no stands or decent bathrooms. They are bullies and villains and it is a sad day for the future of athletics.
Most people do not realize you can visit even without credentials but you just need to stay in certain areas. While we were there, the usa rugby team, usa ladies rowing and washinton rowing team were there all training in addition to a number of paralympic athletes. Great history and shop for usa gear as well.
This really is a hidden gem of Chula Vista! Great Views, Amazing Campus, and if you are here to train you wont be dissapointed!
Not the many people you almost have the park for my self
This place is awesome. My son loved it. Good archery class as well.
Excellent boat house and course. As well as helpful staff
Just a beautiful facility with employess who actually seem to love their job ad have so much information to share with you.
Beautiful and inspiring facility. Really clean and quiet too.
Awesome facility and engagements with the athletes.
Great place for elite athletes to train.
Its wonderful, but if youre not an Olympic athlete youre not getting in.
Great place for rugby.
There’s a reason people do not visit this place. We came all the way from Colorado to visit. Staff was curt. No tours available. Store closed. Hate this place.
We had the VIP tour of the facility with the opportunity to be accompanied Blake Leeper, Bronze and Silver medalist in the Track and Field Parolympics. The tour was over the top amazing. The focus and training offered in this venue is a real tribute to our participation in the Olympic Games. Blake is an inspiration to all. A visit to San Diego would not be complete without a tour of the Olympic Training Center. A MUST GO-Thumbs up rating.
The Best!!! Go here every year for 4th of July
Seems a like a nice place I just waited for some people to bring back
Absolutely epic training facility!
