The place it up to date modern and very art deco but the size of the shower and bathroom made the entire day worth it!

The veiw of the ship yards is amazing and so full of excited work noises all around

Its a very nice park. Beautiful field to play soccer or football on. Basketball ball court and play area for the kids. But because of drug use in the area and bathrooms are the worst thats why I gave low rating. But still a nice park just cant use restrooms and wouldnt stay to long in evening.

Does anyone know if the basketball courts are open to the public ? Thank you :)

Best park to chill with family.

I stopped coming here for the last 5 years. I am glad to see theres less traffic of homeless. My kids were truly able to have a great time.

It would be a very lovely park, but the persons who camp here make it feel a little unsafe. If it werent for my dog, I likely wouldnt visit here alone.However, my dog loves running in the field. There is a small skate park, a basketball court, playground, water fountains that also have one for dogs, and a gazebo (where most of the campers are.)

Played here with my son a few times. Its a fun playground. Unfortunately not the best neighborhood. Can be some interesting characters out there...

Take my dog there every night, its so peaceful, I take him off his leash so he can chase balls and get some exercise, we live it there

V nice park. Really enjoyed staying here for the last several months after my wife brutally divorced me due to my excessive drinking habit. Met a lot of wonderful friends and was able to make a full recovery due to the amount of free meetings hosted at this park. Luckily, after my gang initiation I was able to get my free tram card and reserved parking at the public health office building. God bless America.

Not a bad place to spend the day & on Thursday afternoons you can go & listen to a little bit of gospel & afterwards get a hot meal! Awesome people!

This used to be a fun park before it became a homeless shelter.Its not officially one, but it might as well be. Kids and families used to come here all the time to enjoy the great outdoors, but now its been taken over by those seeking shelter. I wouldnt mind that much, but most of the people sleeping here are smoking and thats not very healthy. We are, after all, there to improve our health.

Clean, good environment, good mantenance

The basketball courts are beautiful, and are used very often by the locals. There is a skate park thats also pretty busy. There are a few homeless characters by the playground, so I wouldnt bring my kid there, but an ok place for ages 13+. If you go there, stop at the food Truck aroung the corner. Best fish burrito in the world, and its cheap.

I love this awesome park it is world class!

The little skatepark built here is tiny and has a terrible design, but is a good place to go for a run or to play basketball. There are also two pokestops and a gym close by for those who play Pokemon Go.

Excellent place to walk

I grew up in the the area and after years of no park within a mile and a half we finally got this one. At first it was nice and taken care of. After a couple of years it was and still is infested with gang members and it seem to be the dumping ground for the homeless. Both groups involved with drugs. This park needs some serious clean up on all levels. Trash wise and loitering wise. This park is right next the the South county department of health and human services and Harborside elementry school. Kinda of hard to believe that both of those entities along with the Chula Vista police permit this activity to continue. I will drive my dogs to J street for their daily walk. The city of Chula Vista should be ashamed of what they have allowed this one of the newest parks in the city to be degraded to.

Good park just a lot of homeless

Very dirty, food waste and trash everywhere.

This is a great place. Right on the San Diego bay. The south end. Plenty of parking. Every once in a while you might have to take.a small walk.Picnic, lounge, sun, water, fishing, play ground for the kids, plenty of room for volley ball even for a short hit game.of soft.ball.Walk the dog, or just a nice stroll around the water. An ice cream truck around somewhere but not far. Kids playing, men bbq, the ladies looking good, if there was a jazz combo playing some tunes there it would be a Normen Rockwell painting. Like I said a great place, bravo Chula Vista.

It was a nice park until homeless started staying there and people started having A A meetings at that park

I would love to bring my kids and my family here more often but its always filled with homeless people and gang members drinking, smoking, and littering. It seems like a drop off for all the bums and losers from the trolley station and county public health office. I hope the city of chula vista would do something about this and clean this park up. GIVE US BACK OUR PARK!!!!!
