The old Chicago & Northwestern Railway Bridge is certainly an interesting spot with lots of history. Urban exploration is one of my favorite activities. I always enjoy visiting remnants of days past, especially old industrial structures. If you find yourself in the area you should make a stop, it would be a great place for photos. As another reviewer noted, I wish it was better kept. Cant have it all I suppose.
Great view of this bridge and the city from the Kinzie Street Bridge.Theres also a nice little walking path near this bridge. The view of the city from this location is wonderful and probably one of the least known by tourists. Its well worth a walk around the area. There used to be the wonderful smell of chocolate from the chocolate factory near by, but unfortunately they were forced to remove the emissions.Take walk another another block north to the Kinzie street bridge to take a great shot of this bridge and the city with the river, its breathtaking.
Had no idea this was here - happened upon it while out geocaching but loved the story and looking at how theyve permanently opened this bridge. Definitely worth a quick visit if you are in the area.
A piece of history that should be better preserved
Magnificent view from the boat tour! This is a must.
Always beautiful and amazing to see what used to be
Great industrial art
This is so cool
Very cool old bridge.
Awesome
Wonderful effort to preserve history and landmarks.
I love this old relic from the past. Glad its a land mark
Really loved learning about the history of this bridge and the area. Impressive structure, and fun to contrast it to the modern bridges.
Historic and must see
Very good place to recreate
Solid bridge. Went under on river tour. Didnt collapse. Would journey under again.
Very scenic... great skyline view
There are a number of these in downtown Cleveland OH. Cool.
Nice way to cruise through beautiful down town Chicago!
Cool old industrial bridge. Popular wedding photo background
Call the Medics for an erection lasting over 4 hours ?Permanently standing since 2004 !
Way too much character, way too Chicago. Staff is great, though!
Its fun to photograph.
Ye olde railroad infrastructure. Very photogenic.
Terrible customer service. No one answers the phone, no one brings the bridge down when I need to cross.

Cool
Alex, keep trying to call the Chicago Department of Transportation. Do not give up!
