Gorgeous fountain on the north side of the River Walk. Love that you can walk behind the water. Also love the water jet that shoots across the river every hour on the hour for 5 mins. Adds something fun to the river walk experience.

This sure was a cool spot! We heard that it shoots across the river every hour, but it didn’t do that both times we came to see it, but that’s ok. It was still a nice place to sit for a minute and just relax.

Its a beautiful idea, a huge arc of water flying across the river. According with the descrption at the monument it runs for 10 minute every hour, starting at 10 am. We were there to see it from the beginning, however after 5 minutes a tourist boat full of people was approaching and the water arc turned off, why? Its weird that this Chicago attraction does not follow its own schedule. People were there to take pictures and videos but the 10 minutes passed and the arc never came back to live.

This is a great spot to come enjoy the water. The fountain shoots across the river at the top of the hour, sometimes dousing passing boats! Its a nice respite, tucked away in a corner of Streeterville and allowing a brief escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Grab a sack lunch and enjoy a picnic while you watch the world go by.

Beautiful commemorative fountain and seasonal water canon arc in a quiet residential area along the very lovely River Esplanade side of the Chicago River. An easy walk from the Sheraton Grand and Loews hotels.

The jet sprays across the river at the top of the hour except at 3 and 4 pm. Worth a visit.
