My girlfriend and I absolutely loved it. It was totally worth the tickets and was basically no wait. Great view of the city. I also highly recommend the tilt. I loved it and gave a bit of a rush. The workers did a great job of sanitizing and keeping it clean.Although before the elevator it was kind of difficult trying to scan the tickets bc our phones were too dark. Took a long time of playing with in app settings to get to day time mode instead of dark mode.
It is the first place we visited(we came from Greece), we just arrived in Chicago! We are so impressed with the magnificent view of Chicago from the 96th floor of the John Hancock Center in downtown Chicago. Located in the heart of downtown Michigan Mall. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the entire city. The sunset from here, with a clean atmosphere, must be magical ... The cafes-restaurants-bars that operate here, give you the opportunity to enjoy with your friends, moments of relaxation ...
Amazing views of Chicago from the 95th floor of the John Hancoxk Center in downtown Chicago. Located right in the heart of the beat shopping district in the city on Michigan Ave. You wont want to miss this stop on your visit. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, and the entire sprawling city.
Chicagos John Hancock Building, whats not to love about the first Tallest building and its absolutely amazing views! A beautiful panoramic view of Lake Michigan, Michigan Avenue and the Signature Room Restaurant on the 95th floor is a spectacular place for dinner with views overlooking the city. The window glass walk and the Cheesecake Factory on the lower level.
Definitely a must see. Amazing views of the city like no other. A lot of cool information and history about the building. Little ice cream shop up there with some couches and chairs to take in the views. A little bar area was nice also. Ice cream for the kids, cocktails for the adults!!! Great day trip. Easy park, easy trip to the top.
I love Hancock tower a lot. It looks like building from a Star Wars in a way )) 360 degree views are stunning. Plus they have a bar where you can get a drink . And on top of that special attraction: inclining windows for all brave souls who seek for extra adrenaline. Overall very cool experience. You can find a tickets very cheap online and it’s absolutely worth it
Beautiful breath taking views of one of the countrys most historical cities. Relaxing atmosphere... Stay as long as you like... No rush... Great place to spend some time. Highly recommended as a must see.
I really like the Hancock Building as one of my go to places to visit in Chicago, or to take first time visitors there. The views of the city are fantastic and the bar is also great. This is actually one of the ways to do it on the cheap - you dont need to pay to go to the bar (as opposed to the observation deck). So you go two floors down and have a seat at the restaurant with the gorgeous views, and a few drinks!
The experience was amazing! The views are incredible! The tilt was beautiful! Although the only problem was the Hispanic gentleman who scanned our tickets before taking the elevator upstairs, he was very rude told me and my friend “scan your tickets” and he looked like he was in a rush to leave so once we took out the tickets he immediately took them from us in a harsh way and he even turned the screening ticket in a bad way all mad about it, i then told him “what’s the rush why are you being like this?” He said “ I want you to catch the elevator” nobody was behind us and nobody was in front of us.
Let’s start with the bottom of the building, upon entering they have a small walkthrough museum that tells the history of neighborhoods in Chicago. As someone who loves to study neighborhood history and the changes over the years, this was cool. The elevator flies up the building at around 27 mph and when you get up there prepare for breathtaking 360 degree views Of the city and lake. They also have the tilt ride for an additional $8 a person where you will do a full tilt off the building which is not for the faint of heart. Overall I enjoyed this experience immensely.
Great views of Chicago.. can be pricey for a family, but I recommend if it fits in the budget!
Always love going to the John Hancock Building. Lots of stuff to do and great atmosphere.
Amazing stores, employees, and views. Highly recommend the tilt! Have fun on your visit!
Such a big place and they were having DIAL hand soap that also didnt smell good. Glasses were not clean all my pictures either have spiders or their webs. If they have such an place they should maintain it a bit. Tilt was waste of money too, where we cannot click our own pictures and the pic that they click are super expensive. I would not suggest to waste time at 360 Chicago.
We loved Chicago 360. It is a great place to get sunset pictures of the city. There is a bar and ample place to sit and soak up the Chicago skyline. I would definitely recommend this over the Sears tower observation deck.
360 Observation Deck. Had plenty of fun and got to see the city from high above. Definitely fun
It was a perfect cool summer night. The sky was clear and the lovely city of Chicago offered us great visual feast. Right from the Michigan lake shore to...... full lit streets to .... dim lighted interiors of adjacent towers.... Through their clean glasses..... it was a great time to visit. Thanks to the weather then....
Comfortable and no wait. That said, City Pass does not get you the tilt. The tilt attraction is 8 dollars pp. Looks scary but we didnt do it because the of the lack of customer service. The bar had good service and unique drinks.
I got lucky being up at the observation bar/deck when a storm hit. It was incredible. But there will always be great Chicago views from up there. Check it out for sure.
Went to the building to eat at the Signature room. Parking was $20 through SpotHero. Very easy to use scan in and that’s it no tickets just drive out. It recognized our car. If you want lots of space park on the route going down.
Lets start with the elevator! Never before have I experienced an elevator moving at 27mph/2 floors a second, and it was awesome! Now the view in the sky lounge is the real treat! It has a view of the entire city and at night its almost magical, with the ability to seemingly draw your full attention for extended periods of time without you being aware of what your doing. Would definitely recommend to any visitors who arent afraid of an $18 drink to give you a view of a lifetime!
Absolutely amazing!!! First time. Also did the tilt,to be honest I didnt go all the way. Made me feel sick. But watching my husband was priceless. Would recommend anyone for the experience though.
Did some sight seeing over the course of a few days around and on the inside.Beautiful structure that makes you want to take pictures from every angle. Inside contains a Best Buy, True North Face and 360 CHICAGO to name a few. Parking lot is around the back. Best experience is to go the observation deck.
This was Awesome, Staff was nice and the views were amazing
So many stores, great variety and the perfect way to get my steps in. Love the Magnificent Mile!
Went to the observatory. There was no line and the number of people there was limited for social distancing. We had a drink in bar 94 and the selection was good with a beautiful view.
We just Love Chicago! So much to see and do. And for every rude person there are 10 very polite helpful persons.
This is amazing place! We enjoyed our trip to there.
I loved this place, from it I can see the smallest sunset in Chicago. I went with some friends, we drank, laughed, took some pictures, the service is excellent, the food is also very good. I recommend!
Top of Chicago!!!!! Tilt was a cool little thrill ride that has most people freaking out, but this NOLA girl loved it!!! The views are exquisite! Lake Michigan, Downtown, every view of the city available. This was truly spectacular to see.
Some amazing views of Chicago, the Lake and surroundings. $22 a bit pricey though and it seems to close quite early too as everything was being sectioned off just after we arrived. The bar was quite limited for food.
Had alot of fun although they tricked me with the drinks
I had the best time at John Hancock Center Shopping! There are pop up boutiques, alongside some of my favorite shops! I can Never go wrong with White House Black Market! The sale in this store was most rewarding. The service at the Victoria Secret was amazing. I found so many gems in other shops! There is a Macy’s on the first floor which is always a stop. There’s discounted parking for shoppers as well. I suggest parking after 5:00pm for the $10.00 unlimited hours parking special.
Two of the best restaurants is located inside of this building Benihana and Cheesecake Factory.
Very less crowd for great views during the covid-19 times. Good alternate place to visit if you cannot make it to the sky deck as this is open every day
As a tourist I loved it, the day we went there they were celebrating national Mexican month so they had few groups dancing and singing, also few vendors with Mexican food and handmade shirts and stuff liked that.A tip would be if you really like sunsets go around where the sunset is gonna happen so you still get to see the city with light, enjoy the sunset and also stay a little longer to watch it at night, it’s quiet beautiful!“The Tilt”is worth it if you wanna experience a little adrenaline.
Tower to go to to get an amazing view!!I would recommend to not do the 360 and pay for the view. Instead. Go to the 96th floor to the signature room and get a drink and enjoy the view!Less expensive and you get a magical experience!Fully accessible, nice service and great drinks!!Enjoy!
Citzens of Chicago can go up at a discounted rate. We went at 4pm in Feb and it was perfect timing. The sun was setting in the city and provided a beautiful view. They have a bar and plenty of seating around the entire perimeter. They have the Tilt exhibit for an addition $8, but it didnt seem worth it to me
This place was beautiful! I did the 360 Chicago and got to see it all at night!! What a wonderful view!! After doing that, I went to the bar on the 96th floor and got to chill out and overlook the city skyline!! What an experience!!!
Nice place to spend with the family on a sunny day... Appreciated the beautiful four views of chicago
Had a lot of fun on the trolly ride. Very upset it was it’s last year. Definitely would recommend going and doing it before they’re gone for good.
They have great restaurants located over there.
We came up here instead of doing the 360 tour. The old fashioned I had was fantastic. My companion had a mimosa and she liked it too.Great views of the city below and the wait staff is extremely friendly. Highly recommended!
Beautiful spot to go to! Of you like city lights go at night!
The John Hancock Building. It was grate had slot of fun..
Love Chicago around Christmas time. This was our first time visiting at this time of year and well definitely be back!
One of the most spectacular view of Chicago. Incredible! The Tilt is a little bit of a thrill but nothing mad, I wouldnt give it 5 stars and wouldnt do it again, it is fun but thats about it.
Residents rate at 8 dollars is a good rate but 22 for out of state is a tad much. The view is good. Ive been to majority of the towers around the world so the tilt is an unique option to add for additional $ but as far as things to do, not very impressed.Something to look into: special dining, love note section maybe. Other countries have love locks connected to their towers but I dont think chicago can add any more infrastructure for that.
Had a wonderful time. Beautiful views at night.
How can you beat the views this place offers??!! It is the BEST viee of my fav city! On a clear day, you can states away! Even on a cloudy day, it is still beautiful! My daughters love watching the planes and helicopters fly beneath us! Even with me being terrified of heights, i cant stop looking out! The building is always immaculate and the elevator ride up is super smooth even though its so fast!! A must stop!!
We enjoyed the amazing views from the top floor of the John Hancock building. We sipped on a cocktail and had some delicious gelato.
Allot quieter than other areas to visit, right next to amazing shopping and sights. The view was amazing just after sunset, clear for miles. Do not pass on the view!
Amazing skyline view of Chicago from top of John Hancock building. Tilt is worth the try for additional 8 bucks.
Sort of expensive, but worth it for the views. We spent the extra money to get a drink from the bar. That wasnt worth it, which is why Im deducting a star. You could tell that things had a funny taste when they were mixing the drinks. I sort of doubt that a proper cleaning procedure was done or something... Both our drinks had a plastic-ish taste... But who are we kidding, youre not here for the drinks right!?The views are amazing. We can middle of the afternoon on a Friday, the weather was lousy but we were still able to see for miles. I wouldnt hesitate going up here if the weather is sketchy, itll still be worth it. I also like how you can stay up as long as you want. So, you can plan to hang out for a while, hit the little shop, grab a drink, do the tilt thing (that costs extra, not really worth it) and just hang out. Really cool views of the city. Puts things in perspective.
If you want to look at the beauty of the Chicago downtown, you have to visit Hancock tower. I went to the Hancock tower at night and the view was breathtaking. You can see the twilight on one side and a night on the other side. The building were lit and it was a view to remember. But if you wanted to see the lake view, night time is not the best, because you won’t be able to see anything properly in the dark. I was lucky to see the light of the full moon gleaming on the waters. The tilt was an additional $8 but it was worth it.
(Judging off of the Signature Room, Best Buy, and Chase bank)Exceptional service and quality for just about everything. Customer service is ready at a moments notice and is very accommodating. Food at the Signature Room was excellent. Best Buy will answer near to every question you can throw at them regarding sales and services. Chase bank has a very clean office and the tellers are very polite.
If you’re traveling downtown- it’s central location makes it great for parking. The lobby is a photo stop on its own! Little Secret- no need to pay to go to observatory. Take the elevator to the 96th floor. There is a casual bar/restaurant, above signature room. All ages. It’s the best FREE view of the City. Grab desert & visit the women’s restroom for the absolute best view of the City!
Very cool place to check out. The tilt ride was not as scary as I thought itd be. Definitely worth trying once. The observation deck was cool. Got a lot of good city pictures.
Tilt experience is really awesome..one should must experience this
Tried the tilt, it was an interesting experience. The views on top are phenomenal!
It was a mesmerizing experience, it was quite gloomy the day we went on the top but still got good view, I would recommend to go on a bright sunny day so once can see the horizon. I wish there was a glass elevator to go on the top. There is a skywalk area on top where you can get fresh air which I really enjoyed.
Could legit see the whole city! Beautiful its a must if your visiting.
On clear day, you can see forever. We purchased the tickets that included a bar beverage. Cocktails were pleasing, beer and wine also available. The wait in line was quite long, as it was a beautiful day - and people were lining up to see the sunset. A satisfying experience.
I think I like this better than the Willis Tower. Its a lot less crowded and there is a bar with seating and couches. And you get a better view of the lake. Because it is lower, the view is less like a map and you see the buildings more clearly.
Skip the Willis Tower.. Come here to get a great view of Lake Michigan and do the Tilt! Youll not regret it.. Great views of the city.. The Bars great too!
Astonishing building! A landmark that represents the unique style of the modern Chicago. Great views open from the top floors. We went to the bar on 96th floor, its free and you can spend a great night city views from there. On weekends you can expect a line to get seated by the windows, but normally that would take approximately 10-20 minutes. Staff is very polite.
I always try to hit Signature Lounge whenever I go to Chicago. One of the best and cheapest place to see the view of Chicago downtown and the Michigan lake. I simply order drinks, snacks, and enjoy the view. Its a great place to chill after walking down Magnificent Mile. For ladies, dont forget to check out the ladies restroom
Great observation deck restaurant s and retail
Top of the Chicago concrete jungle. Excellent service and food. All you can eat brunch, where each dish is gourmet quality, made fresh to order. The buffet lines were also excellent, with different ones for different tastes. Salads, fruit, pastas, desserts, icecream galore. All unlimited. Start hungry my friends, ( before you get there). $65.
Great views, fast elevators & the tilt was a good experience. Dont do it if youre afraid of heights or have vertigo.
The observation deck is a better option than Sears as you will not be able to differentiate how high you are, less crowded, great view of Lake Michigan, good bar on and restaurant to sit around for a while. The tilt on the top is an oversell, but its an interesting experience as you feel you weight thrown on the window.
Love.Layout is amazing with absolutely amazing history on displayed. The views are spectacular and the staff is friendly enough. They can be a little more open than the Sears tower, and have arranged seating so that there are options to enjoy the views. Drink specials and nightly options (ie trivia) are pretty impressive to see. Do the day/night combo if you have the time; well worth it! Tilt is worth the additional cost, especially as they time the ticket and you get more than a single go.
I read it’s usually full but I went in Winter and it wasn’t busy. I really enjoyed my visit.
Hancock Building is great. Could use a few more restaurants. However my con is I had a medical appointment and though I went to the front desk no one gave me a visitor pass. The security guard hipped me. NO PASS NO BUILDING ACCESS. I had to walk back time the desk wait my turn and get a badge. Shouldnt happen.
The view is of course absolutely stunning. The tilted section takes up much of the view to the south. The elevators could have been a little more exciting and updated with screen and entertaining content.
Oh oh that was scary!! And exciting! The view is amazing. It’s better when it’s sunny and the pictures are clear.
AWESOME AND FUN
Fun destination for family members of all ages. One of the tourist spots that need to be seen when you’re in Chicago.
Comfortable and no wait. That said, City Pass does not get you the tilt. The tilt attraction is 8 dollars pp. Looks scary but we didnt do it because the of the lack of customer service. The bar had good service and unique drinks.
Chicago 360 bar is a great place to spend the evening. loved the atmosphere and great staff. dont have much food in the menu though.
Nice and clean StMost of the people are wearing mask
Cant get tired of watching this building over and over...Lucky me I can do it in a daily basis...The view from the restaurant on the top floor is awesome...
Check it out, awesome views! Goin up is definitely a Chicago tourist thing that is worth the time!
Highly recommended. The views are amazing and relatively cheap. Dont recommend the outstanding view though, do dont see anything different
Great food and great service!! I loved it all!!
Love the 94th floor tip. Only one issue, they did not have xl hoodies.
Super dope vibe.
Conquered my fears. Rode 94 floors and it was well worth it. The views are amazing. We got the drink/view tickets for $27.00. Price is great for a drink, view and experience. Highly recommend going at sunset so you can see the city skyline change.
Great view you have to go.
Woww.. Thats an example for the fancy places in ChicagoYou will enjoy a very fascinating viewThey do not have food on the top but you can get some drinks
One of the tallest skyscrapers in ChicagoAmongst the fastest elevator of North America40 seconds 94th floorA 360 view of the city30 degree tilt view of the city
Beautiful building, the view from the observatory in the 94th floor is breath taking plus is a full bar and café if you want to enjoy the view with your favorite drinks.
This review is for the observation deck located om the 95th floor. This is a one place that everyone should visit at least once maybe twice (once in day and another at night).Search online for deals and you can save as much as 50% each ticket. We didnt do the Tilt attraction but looks like the people that did had a lot of fun.Chicago is a beautiful city and the views from atop John Hancock Center are incredible. We went on a Friday night and there was literally less than 5 minute wait. Coming down there was a wait of about 10 minutes. I know it can get crowded with love mg waits so maybe check before you go but our experience pretty quick. The L train has a stop just a couple blocks away.
Great views, fewer people, better value than the other observation deck with no appreciable difference.
Worth the price to go to 360 view. I have been to the Sears Tower...okay Wills Tower and they are about the same. Maybe view is a little better from Hancock. I did not do the tilt. Had a cup of coffee from the bar. Overall a nice experience.
What a view! Its truly 360°Chicago. The lift took about 45 seconds and did not feel bad at all, only ears went locked few times. The best time to go is in a clear sunny day or evening, you can see miles and miles away. Some of us also tried the Tilt, very exiting... You can also take a glass of wine or bear or a cup of coffee in the 94th floor. And you can by photos of yourself if you want to.
I love Macys theres nothing else I can say
