The Gallagher house is actually the family house of one of my good friends, and they still live there today. I only live a couple of blocks from the house. So many people come day in and day out to see the house. But long before shameless made the house a tourist attraction, it was just the bell family home.

Welp, we didnt get stabbed or shot so I guess its a safe place to visit with a rolex on

Very cool experience for fans of Shameless like myself. I totally spaced on Kev & V’s house up the street! Won’t on my next visit. Pictures were totally worth the donation for front and back porch photos. Being a Chicago native it’s amazing how much you see in your own backyard when you visit home.

Cool to see! But in a very dirty part of Chicago. Garbage everywhere. Also theres some.kind of scam to donate $5 to take a picture on the steps.

We took the city bus to this location. We wanted to do it Gallagher style. If you do take the bus make sure once you walk through the underpass (where Carl was dealing on the show) take the quick right through the alley. We missed it the first time and got a bit lost. Not really where you want to be lost in Chicago! So exciting once we got there! Kev & Vs house is right there too.

When we visited the house there were no tourists at all. If you make a $5 donation you can enter the gate. But you can take good pictures anyway :)

It was a really cool experience. First time Ive ever stepped foot anywhere near the filming of a favorite show of mine. The inside isnt set up how the show portrays, but thats because people actually live there.

Area is rough, but brought memories from the show, the apartment Fiona buys is also around the corner. If you visit the house, take advantage since in the area and see all, the bridge is also very close and will rememberas you go, 2 houses down is where neighbors Kevin and Veronica live in the show.

Ive been wanting to come here since 2011. Finally came true! Amazing experience!

Apparently it was the off season but the folks thatived there were welcoming and awesome to talk with. Took pictures for us and told us about the 3 houses on the street used in the show.

If youre a fan of the show, I recommend checking out this location. Dont be too weary of the neighboorhood. Everyone around is friendly and deals with visitors literally all day long! They ask for a $5 donation if you want to go inside the front gate and up to the porch. You can walk up to the side and the backyard too (without donation). A surreal experience!

I was SO excited to see these houses! Ive been a fan of Shameless since the first season was released! There is a sign on the fence that says if you want to come in the fence, there is a $5 donation. I didnt have any cash on me so I didnt get to, unfortunately. I looked up the addresses for the Milkovich house and the house Sheila and Karen Jackson lived in, and they were within walking distance of the Gallagher house! It took about 3 minutes to walk to the Milkovich house and 5 to walk to the Jackson house from the Gallagher house. It really was amazing to see where such huge parts of one of my favorite shows have been filmed! I do recommend going as early in the day as possible or with a large group of people for safety. Especially while visiting the now boarded up Milkovich house (Trumbull). There are a lot of people shouting at you and it makes you feel really uneasy and unsafe. The Jackson house (Spaulding) and Gallagher house (Hamon) streets were both very quiet for the most part. But, I do recommend going if you are a fan of the show! Very cool to see!

It was a bit dark upon my search for this infamous home but after circling the block a good 3 times I was able to spot it! I Highly Recommend searching during the day for a quick find!

The guy was really friendly and accommodating offered to take pictures for us and even invited us to see the back of the house as well. Ive read places say that fans are discouraged to visit the house but thats not the impression I got at all he was very welcoming.

The house that Frank, well, he didnt build it ...I knew the address and thought it was funny when it was IDd in Google Maps using Android Auto in a rental.And just a couple doors down .

The owner of the home was very kind, considering she has to deal with fans all day long walking about her house. Was the best thing Ive seen in Chicago! Definitely needs to be a stop on your journey. Just be sure to tip for photos, I couldnt imagine dealing with that every single day!

Im a fan of film, but not so much a shameless fan. It was cool being on set of a popular tv show but thats where the excitement ended for me. A shameless fan would love this, being able to get close to the house and even view the back yard.

It was cool to see it, take a picture. I feel like anyone thats scared will be happy to know theres a police station not far at all away, and the neighbors were nice. I wouldnt recommend going at night if you arent familiar with city life or easily jumpy.

Very cool to be able to check this out. Weve been huge fans of the show going back the UK series. I also thought it was pretty cool that the owner let people take photos on the porch for a small donation.Unfortunately, Kev and Vs house had a no trespassing sign, but I totally understand. Also, you can look up where other filming locations have been in Shameless and check them out, too. I will warn you, Mickies house has definitely seen better days...

This house was in my neighborhood. Very awesome to go see if your a fan. The guy that lives there is very friendly. Just be respectful because he does live there off season.

We made a quick stop while visiting Chicago last year. Yes, people say its unsafe but just go when there is light. Not at night. The lady there told us they were coming to film next month (this was in 2017)!We got down and walked around the house and took video too.Just be careful.

Oh My Gosh. Very cool to see the house (therefore the 1 star) but no more stars because of the safety factor. Maybe the area isnt as bad as it appears but it felt quite dangerous to me. I naively believed that it would be monitored/promoted as a tourist area but nope, you are on your own. We didnt even get out of the car but hey, we can say we saw it!

At first. driving into the neighbourhood. I was legit scared. Not being from Chicago, youre always weary of the type of area you are driving through. The owner of the house was standing out there with a security guard, which made me feel a bit more secure. I parked on the side of the road and chatted with her for a bit before getting a photo taken infront of the house. she charges $5.00 for you to take a picture. so bring cash!

We went on a chilly early morning, and it was dead quiet in the area. Got out and took a few photos then drove around the neighbourhood to see a few other locations used in the show, and then left. Its absolutely amazing how true to the city the show is. All of the locations are very very close to each other.

Best day of my life when we were able to not only take pictures of the Gallagher house but sit on the porch for pictures! Neighbors are super friendly and welcoming to Shameless fans.

It was very surreal driving to the house and seeing the Gallagher house as well as Kevin and Vs house a few doors down. Also, driving through the neighborhood was really different in a good way!

Theres a sign on the fence saying that to come take a picture inside the house or on the porch, a $5 donation is required, but I think this is enough! So glad I went, was an amazing experience!

It was awsome being able to take pictures of the house back and front. Also you can slip a 5 dollar bill through the mail slot on the door ajd they will let you take pictures up on the porch! Only thing you cant do is go inside unfortunatly but still a great place to check out!

Owner will let you take pictures on the porch if you donate 5 dollars. When we went there was another couple there taking photos, otherwise we probably wouldnt have gotten out. The area is kinda sketchy, which I suppose one could expect based on the show.

Your biggest fear is going to be stepping in dog doo doo at 9 am. Be safe and dont go at night. Honour the owners of the house and drop a few bucks in the envelope for taking a photo. Then, appreciate how lucky you are to live where you do.
