Great place to walk and talk with a buddy. You have views of city buildings on one side and Lake Michigan on the other. Its a good place to people watch, too!
Besides guys doing incorrect forms on the bars lol its a great view the lakefront is also connected to the park so you can walk or do pull ups whatever your preference vert Geese and duck filles too beautiful creatures
Nice free calisthenics equipment in the park for everyone.
About 6 pieces of exercise equipment remain chair pull up bar hyperextension bench etc
Great place to practice calesthenics for free. I believe this is the only such outdoor park in the city.
They need more benches
My go-to place for a calisthenics workout. I usually go at night, and Im usually the only guy working out there. There are two stations, the one right by the divvy bike station is the best tho!
So there’s actually 2 calisthenics stations about 300 feet apart from one another along a gravel path flanking a street. One station has a parallel bars, pull up bar with multiple grip positions, and 8 metal rings bar-set. If the parks organization is reading this, have one of the sets of rings lowered two feet. The rings are all 6 feet from the ground making it nearly impossible to get above the rings to do ring dips unless you have superhuman strength. The other calisthenics station is closer to Diversey and has an ab station which supports your bodyweight by your forearms. This station was a lot more limited from a calisthenics point of view. There was an overhead bar there ( no extra grip positions ) and a few sets of equipment used for body stretching.
