Came for a wedding on the fifth floor. Amazing what they did to the old Spiegel warehouse. Very open and elegant yet rustic loft type feel. Had a great time!!!

A place reaching for the stars but just hovering. Staff is well trained but rough around edges. Bar area were spread out keeping the waiting time for booze short. Tables spaced out well. Parking was adequate and could have been free but the deemed that valet was needed to walk across a street. The the appetizer were cold dates wrapped in bacon and micro shrimps on a thumb size chip. Can beers were not cold and seemed to be put in fridge a few hours before event. Finally the food was pretty but not filling. Few pieces of meat cut nicely with a few veggies. The vegetarian offering was a chile relleno which was cold?? I was told its supposed to be cold. If you rarely go to suit and tie shin digs you will be impressed. If you go to event as work it an average spot in a factory wasteland...

Bridgeport Art Center was the perfect venue for our recent November wedding. The Skyline Loft was beautiful, unique, and large enough for everything we needed. In addition to the venue itself, the staff at Bridgeport were great and a huge help throughout the wedding planning process and the night off. Specifically, Tania, was a huge help on the day of, she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and everything was taken care of. We strongly recommend Bridgeport for any event space needs, especially weddings.

My wife and I had our wedding reception here in November 18 and it truly made for a wonderful space to host our families and friends. We had about 100 in attendance and there was ample room for everyone. Space enough to dance, space enough to be away from the music and activity if needed, and space enough to engage in small circles of new people getting to know each other. All with the view of the Skyline Loft! Although, most of the view was obscured by a fog/storm that descended on the city that night, it no way did not put a damper on the evening. Everyone marveled at the rustic industrial look of it all and oohed and aahed at the large lift that brought everyone to the top.Putting it all together, Tania and Kate were both indispensable. They were comfortable and very adept with coordinating with all of our vendors to set everything up and provide the means to do so. Would definitely work with them again to set up any large event.

My wife and I chose the sculpture garden for our wedding this June. The space is absolutely fantastic and fit our dream of having a loft style wedding with an outdoor ceremony and indoor on-site reception. The outside sculpture garden was perfect since it has a covered awning to protect from rain, so no need for a plan B for rain! The reception space is so gorgeous and versatile. There are so many items that come with the space, including repurposed metal doors for tables, beautiful light fixtures/chandeliers, lounge furniture, etc. I’m so happy we chose BAC and we would do it all over again.

This is one of THE most beautiful places to host/attend an event. But I have to preface that by saying if you have a creative vision beyond the norm. Im told many people have requested RFPs to have their wedding here and its very costly. (The exact cost I wont post as Im sure they would prefer to give you their costs directly.) BUT my GOD if your looking for something out of the box, cultured and simply beyond the normal places as offered from downtown, this is it.

I was blown away by this space. Attended a wedding here and WOW is this a hidden gem for weddings. Everything is so modern and rustic at the same time. The views of the sunsets from the penthouse floor are incredible. The elevator is the size of a house (no joke!). Great event space, would highly recommend.

This space is absolutely gorgeous. I came to check out the Renegade Craft Fair but was really impressed with the space! The fair was on the fifth floor and there were large windows with a great view of downtown. Probably my favorite part of the space was the elevator. It looks like an open freight elevator with a giant chandelier in the middle. I hope to come back in the future!

Wonderful facility with artist loft space, studios, event space and more. I took off a star only because youre kind of on your own to find your way in here. There does not appear to be a front desk or staff available to direct you. We missed a couple of places in here because it was not clear where in this massive building those places were! If youre looking for a particular artist space or business in here, call ahead to learn exactly what floor they are on, which entrance to enter and what elevator to take. Otherwise you might get lost!

The Chicago Maritime museum also is great with some very knowledgeable staff that are extremely excited to talk to you about everything in the museum.

Just to be clear didnt host an event, Im sure its a nice place to host thats why I tried getting a loft there but from the start I had a bad experience. The lady to tour us around seemed to lack social skills and wasnt very helpful, she looked bothered to show us around even though we were potential clients. The spaces were narrow and expensive but what stuck out was the lack of engagement, she seemed quick to get rid of us and be done with it and that stood with me, I found a space with a place that appreciates my business, hopefully no one else goes through that.
