This is a nice quiet place to collect your thoughts and enjoy the scenery since covid. However, if it was back to normal, there is a lot of traffic. Theres huge benches making social distancing easy to comply with. The city does a pretty good job of keeping up with the trash and trying to keep the homeless from posting up here. There is a few places to eat nearby and a couple hotels. Not a bad spot if youd like to just sit down and relax.

Park has had a few upgrades over the recent years and is really nice. If the city could do something to address the homeless in the area Id spend more time here, as it is the panhandlers can be aggressive. This is why I carry a sailors emergency boat whistle and make, being told to for over $5 buck or else is kinda a turn off.

Great place to hang out for those warm weather concerts.

Needs cleaned up

Charleston has an abundance of homeless people I dont feel safe. The Mayor should do something about it, maybe she could use the user fee to fix the problem.

Quiet place to habe lunch or hang out with a friend. Had a guy sleeping on a bench but police were there to wake him within 5 min

Thanks to shortsighted miss management by city administration, the dozens of century old trees have been cut down turning what used to a cool green haven from the city heat into a sunsoaked oven thats unpleasant to even walk thru...sad to see what used to a gem in the city turn into an empty plaza no one uses anymore

Full of addicts and homeless constantly..theyre always sleeping on benches. They harass the people that have to work near there. Of course no one does anything to them.

Perfect place in downtown to eat and greet Im a lark setting on the center of town. Lush greenery, park benches and gazebo.

Quiet pocket park with comfortable seating. Best used during daylight when downtown workers are present or during events -- and then, of course, it is not quiet.
