Great tour offered by the National Park Service on-site. The first ferry to the site let’s you see the American Flag raised over the fort. 5 stars for Park Service and employee Alexa from Texas! Clearly has done her homework and has researched quite a bit. (I looked up something I thought she was wrong about and it turns out I was wrong!)A good great experience for anyone who is interested in learning.
Very informative. Most people will be here for the Fort Sumter tours, which are done through a private company. However, the Fort and the visitor education center are staffed by park rangers who are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a small gift shop with souvenirs, and several large displays as you walk through which tell the story of the area and the Fort itself. The Fort itself is out in the harbor, and does not have a physical address. This location is an education center and the launching point for tours of the Fort.
