Dec 1, 2020. Plenty of great snow if youre willing to hike for it! Probably needs another good storm or two before most of the mountain has proper coverage and they start running the lifts

A very nice locals ski resort. Not as big and fancy as Big Sky but close to town and has some of the best snow around. It can get a bit cold in the middle of winter. Very normal to have ski temps in the negative. So make sure your skin is all covered and throw and extra layer on.

Bridger Bowl will always be one of my favorite ski resorts because of the local feel of the mountain, the amazing powder days, and the simple fact that it’s only 16 miles from downtown Bozeman. The variety of terrain is great for everyone from beginners to those who enjoy the backcountry!

The best for us locals, especially if retired and go during the week. I really love this place. Another good yet of snow. Nice people operating the lifts and eateries. Most weekdays the place belongs to you, with wide open runs and only a scattering of skiers and boarders. I’ll be skiing here as long as I am able.

Excellent value and lots of variety of terrain. Great light, dry snow. Terrain for everyone, even the most expert downhill skier. This ski area packs a lot of variety and doesnt have the big resort feel. It feels more like Mt. Hood Meadows, or Ski Cooper (two of my favorite places). A ticket at the counter was about $60 for the day. It wasnt too busy. Just right.

Best local ski resort. I grew up skiing here. The staff is friendly and care more about the skiers than making $. The mountain is well cared for with runs for every level. The food is amazing but to save $ we do pack our lunch mostly. They are always improving. Now Im teaching my kids here and the bunny hill is wonderful. 2 magic carpets and a short lift. Great terrain for the kids to learn to ski on.

Of the three major resorts within 2 hours. (Big sky, red lodge and bridger bowl), Bridger is the best resort. Less rocks overall means you need less coverage to have a good experience. If you live in billings its only 40 more min more than red lodge for a bigger resort. Least expensive of the 3. No holiday rates. Good restaurant at the lodge.

This place is amazing. The prices are amazing for a real ski resort, the food is great, and the area is beautiful. Staff was accommodating. This place is great for families. Parking is good, and lift times arent super long for the distance. It is located in a national park, so high speed chairlifts are not available, but that is no problem. Check this place out, and you wont regret it.

Such an amazing mountain. Tons of terrain options for all levels. Has a local feel while still having wonderful amenities. We stayed in Bozeman which allowed us to go out to eat and enjoy the local hot springs in the evening and the drive each morning was beautiful and quick. I highly recommend!

Great place without the crazy cost of Big Sky. The snow is awesome, the slopes range from just learning to extreme chutes, all from lift access. An avalanche becon is required to ski the chutes. The lift tickets are very affordable at 63 dollars for what the mountain is, especially the kids rates (25 dollars), which is any kid 12 or under. If you need to go ski for your status or your Instagram page then go to Big Sky and pay stupid prices for everything. If you really want to ski and do it at a place which has all the terrain a person could ask for without the stupid hype, come to Bridger Bowl.

$60 to ski all day in a setting like this? Outstanding. Staff was friendly, many of the buildings were new or updated. I expected a mom&pop operation but Bridger, although somewhat limited in scale compared to other resorts, certainly packs a punch. Dollar for dollar, you cant beat it.

I liked this park because of the greens. There are a few greens great for beginners. Thats me.There are several blues next to Greens as you come down i end my 9 year old got on a blue by accident. Ugh. Horrible. But we stayed strong and eventually made it down.If following correctly (which i didnt) from the top can go a long way on greens to bottom. The best way to get better is to practice and ski. This park can allow that for new skiers.2 places to get rental skis. At lodge and about 100 feet below lodge. There is a convenience at the lodge when leaving closer, right there to check in. The other rental place, you have a bit of a hike down to return the skis.Note we used the one further down not at the lodgr. Great service! Fast and they checked our gear right there. Nice place.

Whenever there’s actually snow it seems like they close all the lifts except for the runs where you’ll just sink and get stuck because it’s so flat. Poor online notifications regarding closures leaves you driving for over an hour just to turn around and waste the better part of the day (when you could’ve gone to Big Sky). Way too expensive, season pass is almost a grand now and they offer no student discounts. Big Sky is better snow, better terrain, better (faster/bigger) lifts, and at this point marginally more expensive for what you’re getting.

Bridger is a fantastic mountain! There is a large variety in terrain across the mountain, along with good snow coverage most of the time. The staff is very friendly, and the community among skiers and snowboarders is very strong here. Food at the lodges is very good, although there can be a lack of seating on busy days. The wait for lift lines usually isnt very long, at least on the upper mountain, and the scenery is extremely beautiful.

Seem to be one of the few local skiers left in Bozeman... Bridger has to figure out how to expand the base area / parking and get skiers disbursed up the hill to the ridge away from a 1/2 hour lift line at the bottom. Plan b is send transplants back home...

Came to visit friends in Bozeman and brought our gear. This mountain is best suited for skiers, but we snowboarded. Unreal steep chutes. Bring your av beacon cause you cant access parts of the mtn w/o it. Had fun as snowboarders just gotta plan your way out. Lots of flat sections on bottom. Snowed everyday we were here.

Year after year I keep returning to Bridger Bowl for my annual ski trip. The mountain is beautiful with well groomed areas for those who like that, as well as plenty of powdery off the beaten path trails. In a recent experience a fellow skier of mine was injured on the North Bowl. Ski patrol was there within minutes without us calling (we got lucky and he saw the potential need for help). Eddy the ski patrol was knowledgeable and flexible to accommodate whatever we wanted. He fixed her knee up in the ski patrol building and offered anything we needed for help. When it came time to see if we could get a refund on ski rentals the gentlemen in the ski shop didnt hesitate for a second. They gave a full refund knowing that the knee problem was going to prevent any skiing the next day. I cant speak enough on how great Bridger Bowl Ski Area is.

Used to ski there a lot, but too busy now. On any kind of powder day the parking lot is full by 10am. They call Bridger Bowl the powder half hour...the place is tracked out in half an hour.I included a couple of photos of the old days. Skiing the Head 360, and driving to the ski hill.

The hill is very heavily used and ridden that it was ruts/ice from people’s boards. Biggest problem is they need more snow (not their fault). Lots of very nice people to talk to. The lodge and bar were completed packed and it was hard to find anywhere to sit. Overall a good day.

I understand with a growing concern for health and safety that the mountain was closed down early however that does not excuse the fact that it was only open for 3 hours and I paid for a full price ticket ($63). Regardless of how you look at it this is theft from every single person (that bought a day ticket) that went up on the 15th only to have it closed at noon. We were not told at the ticket office that the mountain would be closing down at noon either.

Unless its a Wednesday, with no new snow, at 3:30pm- Bridger Bowl is a zoo. Now, if you like 30 minute lift lines, no parking, and a sub-par ski experience- it might be your place. And dont be fooled by the positive reviews: theyre most likely left by Oatans from Buck Hill or Jerry Peak.Save your money, and your time, and head to Front range Colorado, Tahoe, or Jackson, and avoid the garbage that is Montana skiing/snowboarding.
