Very impressive place to visit, you feel the raw size of the old Steel Plant and surrounding property. Beautifully revitalized and with many new activities to enjoy. The Hoover-Mason Trestle was closed, so I look forward to going back for a closer look into the Steel Stacks.

Spent a whole day roaming around checking things out reading all the info.. such a good time.. ive been there twice the first time it was empty so i we were able to take tons of photos and just explore it all.. the second time it was little more built up but still rad... crazy the amount of history in these stacks.. i feel good about the idea you can walk around and see them instead of just demolishing them, PA steel history is part of America! so git git goin and take a walk around!! learn some stuff and embrace the world we live in..

It was great to learn about all the history involved in creating Steel Stacks. So much ingenuity went into creating all of it. Visited last year and was informative and inspiring. Covid has this years tour shut down. A thriving business supporting a city and a nation, supplying the world with the best product, can be gone, and defunct due to global competition. Must have been frustrating and discouraging for workers and owners. Brevity of life: be careful what you invest your life into: stocks with eternal dividends are best investments: God and relationships.

The level and volume of programming alone make SteelStacks a place worth checking out. However, both the quality of facilities and the care that has been taken to tell a succinct version of the story of Bethlehem Steel make SteelStacks genuinely unusual. Theres always something going on at SteelStacks, oftentimes something that would appeal to a diverse crowd, but its the stuff thats always going on that makes SteelStacks a great destination.

It is a great piece of history, and Im glad its being kept up. While the Steelstacks are still no longer in use and are all rusted, somehow the metal giant has some beauty in it. The area surrounding it is now used for public events every so often, and us a good place to get things like Mike and Ikes and Peeps, at least if you nab them during New Years Eve (Im not sure if they sell them all year in this location.)

An old steel mill that is now some sort of an art installation, this place is weirdly beautiful. The giant iron tubes blast furnaces and chimneys give the impression that you are in the presence of an alien space ship. If you are interested in knowing how iron ore changes into steel then you will love this visit. It could also be a history/sociology tour if youd like to know what it was to work inside one of the most famous steel plants in the US from a hundred years ago. I was impressed.
