Its only open a few times per year, but its a must-see if you can get in. Tour guides are knowledgeable about the history and somewhat about the engineering. Claim is it was the first pumped municipal water system in the Americas!

The pumping house is impressive and well ahead of the Fairmount Water Works in Philadelphia.
