So beautiful! With hiking trails that span from the sound to the Atlantic. In cloudy weather, its awe inspiring, the waves are just astounding. And the lighthouse at the end of the island is quite lovely

Walked on the beach from parking lot 5 to the Fire Island Light house and walked back via the walkway. There is an indoor shower at this parking lot but its closed due to covid 19. Also lots of toilet stalls. I love this beach . Its $10 to climb the lighthouse. I didnt climb this visit but I plan to next time

July 3, 2020Had an amazing experience at the Robert Moses State Park. The lighthouses will greet you to your destination. What a scenery! Even though we ran into a horrible thunder storm, Im pretty sure we will return on a better day. It also has a decent size parking lot, it was about 20-25 minute walk to Surfs Out (seafood restaurant in a nearby neighborhood, you cannot go there by car). If you are planning to go to the nearby neighborhood for food/inn-stay, make sure you have comfortable shoes, youll be walking on sand/pebble road! Beware chasing flies that bite!!

Easy to see right off of Burma Road servicing Bay Shore and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Moderately clean facilities. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Renovated concession area. We will definitely be going back.

Got a lot out of the late summer & was able to even out my tan lines here and I’m very happy about it though people are not respectful of the 6 feet social distancing and most older people will be a******* about it. I came 4 weeks straight there is plenty of wind, fairly clean beach compared to Miami

Really nice, clean and quiet. I assume quiet was because the rain in the am scared people away from coming to beach. Nice walking paths to the historic lighthouse. Saw a deer that was not scared off when he noticed us.

As a parking lot, this does the job, no further comment. As an access point to an incredible part of NY, you couldnt ask anything more of this lot. Bravo.

OMG, the Lighthouse is open, no reservation needed, you can tour the gift shop one at a time only with facemasks and shoes and even climb to the top in groups. They are charging $10 person.

Parking lot is socially distanced with cones in every other spot. A short walk to Fire Islands light house and overall just a great space to spend a day. Be careful, as the surf can get very rough at Robert Moses.

To be homest, I parked in Field 5 and walked over to Fire Island. When I say I will not go to any other beach than this one, here’s why. First, there is barely anyone there!!!! It was incredible. It was soooo peaceful! I could actually enjoy sitting by the water without a million other people around me. No disruptive speakers or loud conversations. I truly truly love this location.I have been to Field 5 and it was okay.

Always love Robert Moses well kept shores. Now set up for Social Distancing as they place construction cones blocking every other parking spot and everyone on the beach respected the 6ft rule.

I enjoy coming to RM beach and relax by the water, hear the waves and feel the breeze. Large concession spot to grab something to eat and have a few drinks and snacks. Most of all loving the tranquility...nobody bothers you. I rather pay the $10 for parking.

Very nice beach. Much better than jones. My one and only quarrel with beach is, they need to open more swimming sections and have more life guards. They cram everyone in one sections but during covid you cant park more than every other spot. Makes no sense.

This is probably one of Long Island’s best beaches. I love field 5 but be ready for some nudity there! Definitely less kids around and overall not a crowded beach. Facilities are nice and clean, there’s a beach gear shop and a food court. Beer also available.

The beach is serene, i’d rather be on a beach that there’s only a few of people, so i can feel the view and surroundings peacefully. I will definitely revisit sooner or later️

If you want to visit the fire island lighthouse you have to go to parking field number 5.from here its a short walk to the lighthouse. Here the lighthouse, a national treasure, is a delightful day trip destination. Watch out for the lighthouse programs they are super fun.i have participated in many myself. Another must see.

When I think of summer, I think of this all-natural, beautiful, clean and classy Beach. It is not always too crowded, there are ample parking spots and there is a lot of activities to partake in here.Sometimes traffic going gets a little thick, however, but otherwise, the experiences are always memorable.

This beach is a fun place to bring the young children, even though it is a fun place for all ages. There is a $10.00 fee for access. The parking lot is handicapped accessible. There are board walks access ramps from parking lot and individuals with strollers, carts and mobile vehicles can use to access beach but may prove difficult to access surf and beach front. There are shower rooms, restrooms, and family rooms for everyone. There is also a food court available too. There was a vendor pushing a food cart on the beach so you may have access to that. I do strongly recommend bringing a snack pack for family with children. Also, bring lots of fluids. The beach can be very windy at times so remember to anchor down your picnic portable tents and chairs and towels. Overall a fun place. We stayed for 3 hours from 1to 4 and upon departure people were still arriving.

Seriously don’t eat the food here. I worked here for 2 days and this restaurant would be shut down if the health department paid them a surprise visit. Grease and dirt is everywhere. Food is often left out for at least a half hour before being sold. Seriously just bring food from literally ANYWHERE else. A soda is $4.50 a water is $3.50 a tiny 12oz beer is $9 and 4 strips of chicken is $9.00... youd be better off eating or purchasing stuff from the local gas station instead of here. Most the staff is cool but the place is unsanitary in every aspect you could imagine.

You cant say much about a parking lot, but it does have a nice restored bathhouse and a direct connection to the beach, as well as the boardwalk that leads to the lighthouse and visitor centre. Overall a good place to park for the lighthouse, although there are not many spots where there is shade for your car.

Also their parking fees are from Mon to Fri 8-4 so that was kind a nice but I assume it must be a lot more crowded on the weekends and its not a big beach. One of the best beaches Ive been to on Long Island. It is not rocky and the waves are nice when they are not too strong. The water can be cold sometimes and sometimes it can be very nice depending on the temperature. One minute could be freezing cold like youre in a freezer box and then it feels like you are a nice warm water but enough to cool you off on a hot day. It is $10 to park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday after 4 p.m. it is free to park Saturday and Sunday you still have to pay even after 6. If you are a big shell collector like I am you will find a lot of beautiful shells there
