I can see why this place is rated so highly. This place is unlike any other museum youre going to visit around the area.To us, is was the perfect place to start a day trip in Bay Shore. The Himes brothers were accomplished racecar drivers back in the day, and have all the memorabilia to prove it.From power cars that they used to race on Long Island race tracks, to championship-winning cars donated by other drivers, and kid-carts that they assembled themselves in their youth, this place has it all. To me, the centerpiece of the collection was a 1900s Penny Farthing bicycle. All in all, this is a fantastic place run by the two brothers.
I love it very nice gentlemen who run it
Amazing amount of Long Island race memorabilia. Too much. It needs to be put is a hanger. Way too much to see. Great people
The museum is probably one of the coolest places I’ve ever found on Long Island… Met with Marty today and his brother and we got the tour of a lifetime, learned a lot about the racing history of Long Island. These guys are a cornucopia of history. Help with the politicians in the builders guys like Marty are the guys that make Long Island a Memoral place and build history here.
It was awesome brought back a lot of memories got to see people that i havent seen in years i hope Marty and family keep this going for years to come

I live 15 minutes away. Been there hundreds of time. I STILL havent seen it all. Marty Himes is a great tour guide. Loves to answer your questions. I cant believe that history or long island auto racing is all in 1 place.
Authentic and Expansive collection with personal memories and history of Long Island Speedway comprising of Midget, 3/4 Midget, Stock Cars and more.
Great to see a lot of memorable cars of racing. To hear Marty talk about the deep racing history the Island once had is very impressive.
Amazing history here, things you wont ever see anywhere else. Thanks guys for the tour.
Old time racing on Long Island. Has the original race cars and so much memorabilia of the drivers and starters now known as daggers. Would go there every time I go to N.Y.

A unique long island treasure of early racing.
Marty Himes has almost singlehandedly saved and preserved Long Iskand history.I took my nephews for a visit and Marty and his brother regaled us with their knowledge and their passion. It turns out that we had mutual friends and interests. I cant wait to go back.
