Beautiful structure and artwork. A very reverent Latin mass and a brief, relevant homily during daily mass. During Covid-19 they are still administering the Eucharist on the tongue, but with a fantastic sanitation process. I felt entirely safe while losing none of the reverent beauty of the mass.
Beautiful church. THE place to go for traditional Latin mass.
Best mass ever. Very reverent and deeply Catholic.
Please don’t take this the wrong way. I was called out by the priest for my children being inappropriately dressed for daily Mass, and I want to save anyone else the embarrassment. I can truly say I was ignorant about certain aspects of the Latin Mass before making a last minute decision to bring my six kids (oldest was 13) to a Friday Mass. So my advice: 1) you are not expected to follow along and give responses during Mass like NO, 2) long pants on all ages of boys and skirt or dress if you’re a woman, 3) coach your children on how to take Communion on the tongue, even if you think they know how, 4) bring a scarf or veil as covering. If you’re like me and find it hard to find matching shoes for all the kids before you get out the door, you may find going from the NO Mass to Latin Mass with six kids overwhelming. Perhaps go by yourself first so you can feel comfortable. That’s what I wish I had done. God bless! I hope to make it back by myself someday, but right now it’s too stressful to think about taking the kids again.
A true power House of prayer. Immediately upon entering, you can feel the holiness of our Lord. We moved away 3 years ago and I cried to have to leave this church. I love that the traditions have been kept. Breath-takingly beautiful. Tenebrae service is unlike any other.
One of the holiest places I have ever had the opportunity to experience. A perfect setting for the presence of God.
I remember being brought here as a child for the real (1962 Latin) Mass. Absolutely gorgeous sanctuary. Unfortunately, my family would never stick around long enough for me to get a look at the rest of the church (not even the tiniest peek!).
During the late 70s and early 80s the church was a favorite place for me to visit while hooking school. Mass, novena and benediction were always scheduled and were awesome to me as my home parish, St Ambrose was more contemporary and Afro-centric. The doors always open and services well attended. Sacristy sisters moved about dutifully and quickly. Confessions always heard, church smelled of wax candles and incense. Bells rung during consecration and for Angelus. God, those many statues. The good old days done gone!
Amazing and beautiful Church! They also have the time tested Tridentine Mass!
Its pretty enough inside but the deacon was surly, rude and abrasive. I was recently asked by family to help shoot video of a wedding. When I arrived I was immediately met by the deacon who proceeded to tell me all the things I wouldnt be able to do, where I couldnt stand, etc. He was curt in his replies to my basic questions and then walked off with his back to me upon his final reply.Perhaps its a good experience as a guest or parishioner but for someone working a wedding here its no fun.Luckily the organist stepped in after he left and lead me upstairs to the balcony where I was able to shoot an overall view.
Father Kiefer is a blessing. He is from the FSSP, Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, a Traditionalist group looking to spread the Tridentine Latin Mass all over the world. He is something special and am so glad to have him in our small city, Baltimore. It is my wish for everyone to experience the holiness that exists here. I travel about an hour and a half from Carroll County just to attend this Mass and this Parish. It is a gem in Baltimore Maryland. It is in need of repairs considering its age, I pray one day it will be restored to the glory the Parish deserves.Truth resides here. I always pray 3 hail marys for this Parish and Father Kiefer. The 3 Hail Marys was a devotion St. Alphonsus advocated for.I could have gone to any Catholic Church but I wanted to see what the Latin Mass was like. Its a beautiful and stunning liturgy. Even with all of that, the thing that caught me the most was Father Kiefers eagerness and enthusiasm. He couldnt give out Holy Communion fast enough.Thank you Father Kiefer for everything youve given us, especially the Sacraments.
I love this Church. It is always, clean, in decency and order. Immaculate, professional, courteous, quiet, spotless and always have candles lit when you walk through the doors. The anointing that is upon that church is heavily soiled and saturated. I feel GODS PRESENCE when I goes through that door. Glory to GOD!I am proclaiming that this church is a church that is a citadel. I am African American. In addition to, I am a Christian and I really do not know anything about Catholics. I just know what I feel when I walk through that door. Its Holiness! Even when looking at the pictures of the Church online gives me the shivers and quakes. Jesus! I have such admiration, respect for this Anointing on this Church. Out of all the African American Churches that I visited and joined when I tithe I never really seen an increase. This, Church that I am not a member of only visitation of different occasions because I needed to hear from GOD! HE SHOWED UP AND MET ME THERE AT THIS CHURCH! I put all that I had in that Church all over where every statue was. I lit candles and scraped all my change out of my pocketbook, wallet and even brought a can of pennies to that Church. Before, I left that Holy Ground money would Miracelous come to my bank accounts. I am telling the Holy Ghost Truth. I dont know any parishioners in that Church. I just know whomever is the leader must be A Holy Man of GOD! He must have a strong Prayer Covering over the Church to Bless anyone that comes through that Door of that Church. Its been hard for me to catch it open. However, it is time for me to go back. I just probably need to just send in my tithes to this church eventhough O am not a member. Thats, how much, I believe in the anointing oil on this Church. A Church of Holiness. A Citadel! GOD is so much in this Church that I be scared he going to speak directly from Heaven out loud to speak to me. I know it sounds crazy. The Angels are with this Church. I believe that they are sitting on that Church and that Cross. I hope this really helps someone out who maybe going through trials, darkness, Spiritual Attacks, confusion, lost, hurt, embarassment, humiliation, defeat, mockery, satanic attacks, abuse of all kinds your answer is in this Church. The only thing that I asked is BELIEVE.He will meet you there at this citadel. I have to return now because GOD wants to meet me there at this Holy Ground. People really should remove their shoes off when coming into the presence of The Lord. Its Holy Ground! I feel it! I speak from truth. John 4:24 John 8:32.
Absolutely stunning, had such a warm welcome by the priest and the congregation.
Beautiful parish! Loved the Latin Mass!
Nice Church. Parking is usually easy on Sunday
