A great park to shoot some hoops and it also has a place to play horse shoes. It wasnt that crowded but it did have a small homeless camp so thats why I didnt give it a five star review.

We love this park. The splash pad is so much fun and my twins love the swings. There are two playgrounds, one for older and one for younger kids, tennis courts, chess tables, basketball court (pending hoop placement), picnic tables, grills, an amphitheater, and two large fields. There is a public bathroom which is surprisingly clean but very run down with no towels or soap.I took away a star because there is so much litter. I think part of the problem is that there arent enough trashcans around.Unfortunately there is a fair amount of crime. There are people selling and using drugs in broad daylight. Recently a young man was shot right next to the park and he passed away. The police are frequently present.

Probably one of the citys first parks. At one time had a grand swimming pool and a wading pool long lost and replaced by sprinklers on a pole. Progress I guess. Still one of Bakersfields best, located in central Bakersfield close to BHS.

Beale Park is one of Bakersfields Oldest Parks and besides having tennis and basketball courts. It does have a horse shoe toss, along with spray park ample seating with picnic areas. My favorite will always be a Amphitheater where I have seen plays and had friends get married over the years. I give the park four stars based on the above mentioned and that the oleander homes and some being mansions is part of Bakersfields rich historical landmarks some of the best in the county!!!

Nice park in an older neighborhood with large trees, newer toys, and a water park. Only negative was that there was a few homeless people; but thats everywhere in this town.

Theres quite a bit of homeless hanging out at different times throughout the day. I go to the park out of sheer convenience only because I live in the neighborhood. If you have small children, you HAVE to be aware of your surroundings!

It had trash around but not too bad. Nice park and they have a section for the spray park.

Homeless around drug paraphernalia on the floor not good for family outings

This is a nice park and as some other people said as of lately their has been an issue with the homeless. This is a city wide problem although they seem to be pretty good at clearing them out they will always come back unless the root issue is solved and that’s getting the homeless off the streets and into housing.

Abandoned looking outdoor theatre as if we stopped caring to keep it up or make use of it

Well kept park from all I saw. It was very pleasant, peaceful. Lots of laughing kids!

This park is great in the daytime. Its maintained quite often & has a tennis court, toddler playground, bigger kid playground, swings, water spray area, benches for bbqs or parties, bbq pits, and they have doggy doo bags to clean up after walking your pup. We walk our dog here all the time & he loves it.Only negatives are the restrooms & the sand in the playgrounds. Sand is too messy.Either way, we visit this park frequently. (Just be aware that transients do sleep here at night & on occasion during the day but they usually arent a bother).

I love Beale park because its so peaceful to me. The people i see here are family folks with their kids, just having fun. I can relax there and go home with a smile!!!

Would of gave a 0. They have so many homeless people that live here in their tents. Its so disgusting... Not a place for children anymore.. What is happening to the safe places to take our children??

Very large nice layout. The homeless/loitering population is heavy. Not a safefeeling place. Spray park along with the public pool. Ive never played there or likely ever will. But I think the amenities are appealing but overall conditions keep me and my family away

Good clean park for kids to play couple pf bums here and there but they dont bother nobody.

Went to the spray park. People let children play while the smoked cannabis. If they want to smoke fine. Do it at home and not around children.

I drove by here as I was staying in an Airbnb nearby. But we use to go to this park as kids for the outdoor concerts. Driving by brought back good memories of simpler times.

Nice clean environment

I like to search for local events in town and was pleasantly surprised tht Beale Park is hosting free big band concerts in their Greek theatre. The band was excellent. My husband and I truly enjoyed sitting in the packed cement area and listening to a great show of local talent. Will definitely return.

It was a bit sketchy. My daughter and I were only people that werent transients. The toys are nice, but the amount of trash was sad and gross. I will visit again on a weekend when its busier to see if it feels safer.

I enjoy my weekend walks at this park. Meeting the less fortunate and helping as I can. Sometimes its just lending an ear along my walk.

I Got A New Son Today!!!

We got vouchers last time we come to come back again for £5 each, so we took the offer up. We saw the different animals and birds. The otters swimming in the water. The food is pricey in the Cafe. Take a pack lunch. Had a free ride on the train around the park. It was fun feeding the deers the grass. Dont put your camera to close to the cheeky monkeys as they will take it had a lovely day thank you beale park

Beautiful place to bring your kids

Its a nice park in the neighborhood to take the kids to play on a nice sunny day theres lots of big trees that make it nice and fresh in the shade. You can BBQ and smoke a blunt while the kids play.

Nice place to go for a walk or take your kids to play. Just be careful cuz theres alot of high school students that go there during their lunch hours to go get high. Alot of homeless people kicking it there and getting high as well.. Just make sure to keep an eye on your kids at all times.

Beale is a nice and quiet little neighborhood park that offers a lovely scenic route that Is ideal for brisk outings and dog walks. I would recommend this place to local visitors.

Pretty nice place to enjoy some sunshine

It was a perfect spot for a quick pitstop. It was later in the evening but everything was clean and stocked, you know paper. There was some light activity nothing serious. I love that green theater here. I wished people used these more.

This is an older park, nicely maintained, surrounded by many beautiful old and historic homes in the oleander neighborhood.

Great park, nice clean toys, plenty shade and nice little outdoor stage. Could have cleaner bathrooms and less bums hanging around them, but overall the park is fantastic!! .

Tried to go on a Thursday, but there were 5 men there. One pushing a shopping cart, one just standing in front on the restroom, one sleeping in a vehicle in front of the park, and the others looked sketchy as well. I barely stayed 5 minutes because I felt uncomfortable letting my daughter play there. None of the men had families or children with them, so I felt uncomfortable. Such a shame because the park looks nice.
