Nice park. Well kept. For the location that its at you do see some homeless but they dont bother and it seems to always be the same ones so you get to know each other through passing. And the animals are cute. They just wait for food to get tossed there way. Cute for picnics. After the Covid is lifted that is. Dont go out thinking just cause its cute you got to go. No! Stay home
Fun skate park but the only problem I could really find about is that it could get a little too busy. It though could be solved, if you prefer a less crowded environment. I would try to go at more suitable hours but other then that the park itself has a good size to it.
This park has many features and all in all is a pretty cool park but its also a homeless hot spot. Not a bad thing except I caught a couple looking into my car windows. I can see this being a great park but just needs some clean up. Lots of trash.
It was one of the Trashiest parks I have ever been to and I wont go back there either and had really bad smell
Really really good but needs lights so we can see at night
I like it. I will become friends with the squirrels one day lol. Baseball diamond, skatepark, soccer field, and plenty of picnic areas.
Good big park lots to do as far as for the kids are concerned theres slides, swings, bars, sand, theres different organizations I noticed out there for certain activity leagues they have socver baseball softball... Theres a skating park... A Raquet ball/Gym indoor place off to the side and if your lucky enough there is always the river bed which makes for great outings and getting a taste of the old kern which involved laughs play fights ispy Marco Polo and numerous other water games there is major construction going on there ad of now but overall a gud many things to do gud park
Nice place to walk
Sad no water 2 many homeless and fround squirls
Its nice but a lot of homeless people hangout here.
Lots of flatground, great for big Ollie off features, flip tricks and long manuals. I didnt get much out of this park, everything was so far apart and I wasnt crazy about how far away it was for the main roads. The pool is cool, but Im not sure if there is a real way to drop in because of that lipping around the inside. The little hill things are fun. Idk skate everything
Nice park has something for everyone.
Great everyday i weng hear
Relaxing and quiet. A little hot but I was able to find some shade.
Lots of shade . nice and quite but remember to take snacks and drinks .. For u and the chipmunks
They have cleaned the place up 10 years ago not so good
Its fun my kids can ride there hoverbords around the Park and me and boyfriend can walk and if my kids want to walk us they can but its so hot out here
It was built before they knew what they were doing. And you can tell. The bowl should be torn out and redone. Just a horrible pool to ride. It leaves you feeling just so disappointed...
Bike Bakersfield meets at Beach park once a month for a Full Moon community ride. Its a great way to get out and ride bicycles with others and take in the stars and sights at night. Beach park also offers many other events and activities.
The place is totally radical dude
Had lunch with an old friend. Taco bell tacos and eater. This park brings back memories of the first Aids walk presented by the BAKERSFIELD AIDS FOUNDATION i rolled in my wheelchair
After the Black History parade we all came over to the park and had fried catfish it was great and all the motorcycles were wonderful it seems like a million were there and from all over as far as from Arizona
This place is a very nicely maintained riverside park. Many event and social gatherings take place here. Children can play safely, families gather for bbq and other functions. It has most accommodations for disabled or disabled persons.
Great park for events parties and sports
Best place to chill
Its dirty all the timeEsta sucio
It was was a very good adventure
Summertime is good here because some people like to go in to the river.
Again with Clint LackeyGood hunting.
Nice park and its well kept. Great playground for the kiddos to play on while youre having a BBQ or at a game.
A large play area for my kids, and they love walking to the river.
Free large flat grassy park. Some trees n ground squirrels. Security closes it dark to dark for safety. Has walk, bicycle, n driving circles. Kids play structures, swings, football, bball, baseball, n soccer fields. Picnic tables. Free half block hikes to fast flowing Kern River under bridge for wading, waterfall, n shade.
The park was absolutely beautiful. I went there for my late great-grandmothers celebration of life pot-luck; it was cold, but theyve got everything: from tables, to seating areas, and playgrounds. It was very enjoyable!
Excellent fellowship with Excellent family
Nice place to chill
Went to the park with my son and he showed me how to play Pokémon. Alot of pokemon and battles.
It is fun in case of the summer if you wanna cool off
One of the better parks in the central Bakersfield area, Beach Park has a lot of open space for a lot of different events and activities. Theres usually a few baseball games that are played throughout the week, birthday and family parties, barbecues, and soccer games too. The River Walk is just next door, with quite a few miles for jogging or biking, and is a lot of fun when theres flowing water in the Kern River (always be careful and safe, though!).
This park is awesome, tons of ramps, plenty of space for flat ground, cool obstacles, overall just a dkateboarders paradise
Best park in town. Love the running/bike path. Now that we have water there, the view is so pretty and relaxing.
Restroom r nasty
Nice park with a playground, baseball field & Kern river following next to it thanks to all the rain we had this past winter into spring. Even better when everyone cleans up after themselves.
Excellent park lots of play equipment clean and safe
No shade in the day, no close bathrooms, no seating, no lights at nightfall.
Its a nice park. Needs hole repairs in the lawn areas
Its always too packed
My own stomping grounds in the summer. I like it because it big. People can spread out if they wish. Picnics, family bbqs, sports, its great. Especially if the water is flowing in the river. Have fun.
Beach Park really doesnt have enough fans! I mean where else can you find a skate park riverside in town? Beach is located on the corner of two fairly busy streets (Rosedale and Oak). The intersection can get a little noisy, just FYI. But the park is large and you can escape much of the Bakersfield heat with the large shade trees here. There is one road that loops through the expansive park. Note it is only one way. Youll find plenty of activities here including soccer, baseball, horseshoes, a skate park, and even the Visitors Center!
Pretty place, nice play área but so dirty please pick up your trash
It was great . Water is cool Park was clean & pretty much empty.Had a good time hanging out with my son.
Park was great, I took my sons to the skate park they had there.had such a good time
I love going there with my family. We use to go a lot. We have many memories there. My husband recently passed so we havent been there lately, hoping to go soon.. We never had a problem finding something for all 5 kids to do.
Great place for a get together, my favorite park to BBQ at. Their grills are newer and always can find one available. Nice shared areas and clean safe play areas with restrooms nearby. Their restrooms could use a update but overall GREAT PARK MY FAVORITE TO GRILL AT
Sk8 or die
During the week its quiet. I like to sit and just enjoy my lunch
Being able to get to this park easily is a plus. Some of the people who use this park need to have a better level of responsibility when cleaning up after themselves. The nearby gym allows some homeless people to live in the trash can area so theres always a certain amount of them hanging around the park. The ground squirrel holes are abundant and pose a tripping hazard. But to walk my dog in this park is what its about. My dog loves to run around and play here.
There is something for everyone. A bike trail, soccer field, baseball diamond, horse shoe pits, skate park, river access. The only thing missing is a dog park.
Great park but homeless have taken over.
Fun skate park, two big playgrounds, baseball field and soccer field.
Its a nice big open park with large fields great for family time or walk in the pets. The playground facility is huge which is great for the kids. Im not the biggest fan of the parking layout! Its only one way in one way out, I see the benefits for it but Im just not a fan of it.
Its a very nice park. They hold a lot of events here!
Every weekend you can enjoy hanging out watching the park filled with chipmunks and classic cars... Close to stores also.
Awesome skate park !! Cant wait till heat eases & more skaters to come show off their talent !!!
Nice park to go to. I believe there is a skateboard rink in the back. And currently the kern river is flowing through in the back. Yokuts park is about a 5 or 7 minute walk from Beach Park. There are bike paths in the back.
Great Spacious park to do big activties or small gatherngs. Good shade and park is well kept.
Its older than me and still in business. Hit it up.
It ok
While the big trees and shade are nice on a hot day, its not the best park in town... especially if you plan to bring children. Even nearby Yokuts Park is a better option. While I sympathize with the homeless, their presence makes it hard to relax here. (Bakersfield lacks public spaces)
My brother rides his bord there. His getting good.
Went to see my son play softball. Nice park has a play area for kids.
Had a good time, great place to walk .
Loved this park. Great place to walk my dogs or bring the family.
Love it especially when the water is let out this far out of the canyon
Plenty of space for barbecues and family cookouts!
Dirty, not well taken care of. Boarded up playground
Bathrooms are usually clean good for kid Park and they have a bike lock horseshoe pit and skateboard park pretty good I like it
Needs some maintenance
Really good place to picnicking and jump into the kerne river great skate park good for hiking viking
Amazing
I drive pass beach park and view beach outside. I went there when I was at deaf event and homeless. Good safe place to hide as a homeless. Good security and park security including private security to check up on beach park as long as kids are safe to play around. Good place to watch many people come there playing soccer and playing softball/baseball.
Nice park, but the city needs to put doors on the bathroom stalls.
Lots of open space to ride
Good place to walk around and have a picnic
Nice big, clean open park, nothing too crazy, but a good place for a family BBQ outing, watch a softball game or just take the ice chest and the kids for a hour or 2 and have a good time.
These facilities were kind of run-down and the bathrooms were not usable or safe.
It was wonderful good place to take your family
Park keeps getting better. With the Kern River water no longer running the Beach is gone, but they added so much more to do. There a full skate park, dedicated horseshoe competition area, baseball, playground, cancer survivor area, Kern visitors building with lots of Bakersfield gifts (mugs, shot glasses, Christmas ornaments and reading materials) . The layout of the park is a one way street so if you exit the park, youll have to drive out and come back east from Oak St.
It’s a nice park very clean.
Its a beautiful park. Large play ground for the kids, multiple horse shoe throwing pits skateboard park baseball diamonds not to mention the river with a sandy beach great place to cool off in the summer but the river dry this time of year. The park did have a bad reputation in the past but they cleared out the undesirable element so there no problem now
The playground was ok just really rusty
My pup had fun running around and tried to play with a couple of squirrels he saw which was funny
Good place to skate but was very busy
