So its a beautiful place through out the day but if you decide to do a self guided tour/puzzle walk make sure you do it before 10pm because the homeless like to hang out around it. So just be careful if you do so.
It seems like a nice place to sit back and relax... There were people laying out on the green and others walking around. We strolled through because the day was so beautiful. I would visit again.
Great food. Wonderful outside seating area. Wait staff and manager did a great job.
Hanging out at the park today it was beautiful day watch these little girls Practice A Dance 4 Tik Tok talk to a friend and had a ginger ale beautiful day
Great place to sit and people watch. We went when they had a craft fair. Lots of cool things to buy . Unfortunately a thunderstorm came through and lasted about two hours. Went back again another day just to walk around lots of places to sit in the shade . I love that the have water fountains and statues through out the area .Coffee shops and shopping near by.
Spent a romantic evening eating ice cream and admiring the bride and groom. Very quiet and safe.
Too many homeless, dirty streets & sidewalks. Little scary, has changed for the worst since our last visit 5 years ago.
A nice passive park but not enough shade to really enjoy it in the summertime.
Bice town off of the freeway. Great place to stop in and have a meal.
Great public outdoor space with fantastic surrounding civic buildings, historic neighborhood and shopping and food venues. Due to COVID, entertainment happenings have been curtailed.
More homeless lying around this beautiful part of the city,,, clean it up...
Nice facility. Unfortunately the entire town has parking meters squeezing you for change even in a public park, so you are always on the clock and pressured to keep moving. Sad.
Beautiful.place to visit alot of shaded area with park benches. Animals aloud! Because of pandemic they didnt have splash pad running, but thats always a cool fun feature also.
Great place to hang out, and they usually have events going on here. I recently had the opportunity to attend Oktoberfest 2017 and it was amazing!
This is a wonderful outdoor venue and park. The covered stage is perfect for concerts and splash ville is a great place for kids to cool themselves off. All set in the downtown area of Asheville.
Very neat place, I can image how much better when the water features are going
Had arts & crafts tents set up in the park. Very dog friendly. Lots of restaurants and taverns near.
Protester Warning! Being a tourist I was looking at my map on the side wàlk. A group of protesters did not like that I was 50 feet near them and told me to leave, under threat of violence.
Very nice sight seeing spot in Asheville.
What a fantastic place for our community to have. I have been there twice for outdoor festivals lately. It beautiful and full of happiness.
Fun little place to hangout. If you have kids the fountain is perfect for them to run around in.
Very nice in the middle of the city
Kids always seem to have a great time on those hot days playing in the fountain. Definitely recommend..
Beautiful trees, great area to set up a hammock and chill
Great public commons for organizing grassroots movements and events!
Great park for any occasion. Lots of history here. Fountain is great for cooling off. Has a great feel.
Its a great place to relax and have fun. Its right next to both Police and the Fire Dept so help is literally next door. There is plenty of food in walking distance but its far away from vehicle traffic so its quiet and safe to let the kids or your inner child just run around.
Great place to hang out and relax, read, socialize, exercise, and just enjoy any of the four seasons.
Clean and beautiful although the fountain was not working at the time of the visit
Beautiful park for a stroll, has an amazing amphitheatre.
Okay bbq, was expecting better
Nice place to hang out downtown
Dont know much if anything to say..... its right in front of courthouse, and LITERALLY NOTHING to do there but sit...
This is a great park to take a break from downtown! Its kept pretty clean of trash and other rifraf. A fountain to cool off in and neat water features to help relax complete the parks attractions. Lots of shade trees and benches too! Public restrooms are available but not totally reliable.
I had a great time yesterday at Pack Square Park. I was there to attend Asheville Hemp Fest. There was music, vendors, educational classes and more!
We were here for Oktoberfest fest, and it was the perfect little park. You can easily see city Hall and the court room from the park which was cool. Cant wait to come back to this park.
This is one of the best parts of Asheville-wide open space in the middle of downtown. Kid-friendly with splashville (though that wont open in summer of 2020) and a stage.
PrideFest was VERY well attended, in support of our LGBTQ friends.
Really nice park. Good splash pad for the kids. Maybe needs a few more benches? Fair amount of shade with trees which was nice too. Worth a visit or hanging out if youre in the area. Check it out! :)
Cute & Quaint small park inside the DownTown area of Asheville, very clean and well maintained.
It was a beautiful day for a concert.
Clean, kid and pet friendly park downtown. Plenty of benches, trash cans, and a nice grassy lawn area for picnics or for kids to play. There are water features that run in the summer months and an outdoor ampitheatre for various events and concerts. Public restroom nearby at the visitor center.
Nice at times
Lots of activities and events from time to time. Great views. Lots of peaceful walking and walkers. People watchers (ha). Good times. Make the experience better by going with a group and peacefully cut-up with pure fun....
Had a great time good food and great entertainment! Would definitely go back!
A place of meeting when visiting down town
Pack Square Park is fun when local events are happening. Such as Pride 2018!
We love coming to Splashville!
Absolutly amazing little art walk. If you enjoy the outdoors and a little art treasure hunt then this is for you!
Kinda quiet/peaceful and relaxing. Not a lot of noise.
Beautiful place to hang out. Summer time is great as well the kiddos can have fun as well.
Well done venue for everything Asheville. Love the shade of the trees and grass for relaxing while listening to live music.
Nice venue. Lots of parking available. Accessible to many places downtown. The 2019 Asheville Turkey Trot 5k (sponsored by Jus Running) was hosted here and it was great!!
This is a nice, clean park in downtown Asheville. The kids had a blast in the splash pad and there were surprisingly clean public restrooms nearby. Theyre were a good number of people here, but there was plenty of space to spread out.Parking is limited next to it, but there is street parking and a deck nearby.
Its a beautiful park that 90% of the time has great entertainment. Theres a fountain that your kids can play in, yoga in the morning and plenty of people lounging on the lawn. I love this place.
Great place to visit
Beautiful open air park with water fountains for the kids to play in. Theres always some sort of live music and an atmosphere of welcome. This is a great place to just take a moment and be at peace. Absolutely beautiful.
Really nice park renovated a few years ago. Great for walking. Great for kids to play at the fountain during the summer.A stage for performances and host to many festivals.
The heart of activism in Asheville.
The park was PACKED for Shindig on the Green but everyone was working on a song together as a community. It was so cool. It was a childrens song but almost everyone there participated and had a blast!
A mix of some homeless folk, tourists and some street vendors surrounded by all the best restaurants in usually musicians playing around the square
The large grassy space is in the heart of downtown in front of the important government buildings. There is an interactive fountain that can get you wet. On the weekends there are lots of events in this space. You just have to keep checking. The Shindig on the Green is a mountain music event in the warm summer months. Check it out among all the other events.
Really crowded, they recently closed the skate boarding park downtown and now a bunch of kids are skating around screaming profanities/ almost hitting people skating on the tierd sitting place on the side facing the court house.
Stumbled upon the creation of music video with leading verse... “This is Asheville not Nashville”... so true... each city has a magic all of its own and Asheville is grace!
Need better parking
Nice Park in the downtown area. Well landscaped, close to everything and has live performances during the year.
Nice place to go to
All manners of mischief.
Loved this place!
Came for October fest, it was set up nicely and the festival was a great time!
Lots of surrounding shops and places to eat. Super fun way to spend the day.
Just a big empty space. With the amount the city spends on this area one would think there would be more to do. Bathroom facilities are lacking and pets are only sometimes allowed. Theres really no draw to come here.
It is small but lots of fun for small ones. Plenty of space to lay out a blanket and relax. Would be nice if they posted something about dogs and smoking on the spash pad but altogether lots of fun.
Beautiful scenery, and great people. Asheville is beautiful all year long, great things happen here all the time. We went downtown to see the fireworks. It was totally worth it. And beautiful!
I just got kicked out for trying to walk through the park with my dog. Its hard to believe that there are no dogs allowed in an outdoor public park in the middle of one of the most dog friendly towns in the region. Shout out to the people at the Asheville Pet Supply tent for giving my girl Phoebe a treat as we walked out.
Great pizza great beer nice people, fast service. Been going here since before I could drink beer and all I remember is great pizza.
Great atmosphere for gathering
Beautiful park.
My beloved Asheville
A nice place to stop and rest on a hot day.
Downtown was very relaxing to walk aroundLoads of different cuisines and restaurants thereTry the Indian food restaurants!
A great outdoor pavilion, where numerous special events are held on a regular basis, right downtown in the city of Asheville. This past weekend, we visited the Art Show, where local and regional artists display and sell their art. There are several wonderful restaurants in the area to enjoy, before or after you view all of the displays. On Saturday mornings until noon, you can stroll a block away, north of Pack Square to the outdoor Asheville Farmers Market. There you can enjoy light brunch/lunch items, while shopping for some of your weeks fresh Organic Produce. The Fresh Market holds nothing over these local farmers. These local growers have some of the finest produce, Ive ever seen. So, if you are looking for a morning outdoors, before the heat of the summers day, you will truly enjoy the Art in the Park, and Farmers Market this coming Saturday.
Splashville is awesome place to take the kids to play and cool off
Really nice architecture. Packs Tavern is money!!
So many fun festivals! There is also lots of live music and they activate the fountains for kids to run through when its hot!
My son had a blast thats what made this Easter event great.
Always something going on here. If theres not, its a sweet area to stroll or sit and rest on a bench under a shady tree.
Center of Asheville life. Lots of great architecture, restaurants, nearby and concerts, art festivals and other family friendly events
Love love love. A beautiful park that takes you downward on big stairs to a surround sound stage where they have great local events like the after dark movies in summertime, plus Pridefest in fall! Go here! Fun water fountains that shoot up in summertime too for kids to play with! Great downtown family fun!
Great park. Pretty
I attended a lovely summer solstice dance Outdoors at pack Square adjacent to where the children were cooling off in the water fountains. It was lovely
Nice atmosphere!
