Jonas has done amazing art. The atmosphere in the studio is great. Love to go there.

As I was running, the open garage door caught my view with many art pieces viewable from the street. I stopped by later and had a great visit through the gallery; so many unique pieces and you could view the studio where Jonas Gerard works. We werent lucky enough to see him in action, but maybe next time. This is one of two galleries of his work. The lady working was so helpful and gave us a private tour with information, history, and details that we never would have known from just walking through. It was a delightful experience and Id highly recommend checking it out!

Amazing and affordable art pieces full of creativity and wonder. Some of the art moves while staring at it. We also saw the artist in his studio. He welcomed us in! Everyone was very kind & knowledgeable. Worth a visit!!

This place is an experience. Can you imagine being moved by breathtaking pieces of art AND you can touch it? Gerards paintings and abstract sculptures simulate your senses and encourages you to dive into your own love of fine art. Growing up youre always taught to see and not to touch. Gerard throws all of that out the window as he tempts you to break the norm with him and go on an illustrated journey that stretches your imagination.

I had discovered this place with my 4 year old son and I am extremely happy I did! Jonas is an amazing artists with so many beautiful unique paintings, youll be looking at his art for hours amazed with the elegance and creativity they have. The two friendly people we greeted today were very informative with the art and on the artist himself! Ive discovered that Jonas comes here once a month to do a live painting and I am looking forward to attend the next! I could tell these guys were very passionate with what they do and the man had actually given my son a beautiful piece called Cosmic Voyage which Ill attach a photo to this review. Im happy I had walked in here today and appreciate the generosity and good vibes! Jonas has so many wonderful pieces that its hard to describe them all. Its a kind of cool psychedelic Impressionism. Wonderful array of sizes, styles, and ranges in price from very reasonable (40 dollars) to very pricey (16,000 dollars). Highlight of my trip!

Jonas is a world famous artist that took the time to visit with us in his Gallery. We felt honored by him. We came all the way from Maryland to purchase a painting. The painting ended up being a bonus because we were able to get to know Jonas. Thank you Jonas.

Beautiful studio! You are able to touch the art and see all the work that goes in to each piece. There are some unfinished pieces in the studio so you are actually able to see the process that goes in to it. Great place to go to be inspired!

Amazing! I particularly liked the fact that you were encouraged to touch the pieces, so different from the norm.

If you have hippie aunt who is color blind and a stack of money burn I would recommend setting that money on fire and take the ashes and mixing them with melted Crayola crayons then smearing it on a canvas. You would come out ahead financially and produce better art. Also the coffee is terrible there,it made me sleepy. Also the staff was incredibly rude, they body shamed my dog saying he was too fat.

I love just being here around the art. You can feel the love from the art and staff. The live painting performance are wonderful for all ages. They invite you to touch the paintings

Jonas Gerard is my favorite artist & he was at the gallery today! It was awesome to talk with him and admire his work. I bought an original & some prints. Love this place! It does not get any better.

His art is rather lackluster. It’s rather confusing why his work seems popular. They are generic, abstracts. In my opinion the color schemes are elementary as well. There are many better artists in Asheville.

I called to inquire why they would still be open during the pandemic when they are not an essential business and are putting the community at risk and they hung up on me. Selfish and irresponsible. Putting profit over people. Shame on you Jonas

Very friendly staff and a wonderful man behind the art. We got to meet Jonas who was extremely friendly and personable, which made his works even more appealing.

I wasnt a fan of 100% of the art. But I was definitely a fan of the salesperson who was trying to get us to purchase the art. And, quite honestly, thats what I think should be rated for this gallery.I have been fortunate enough to witness true high class salesmanship a couple times. Once was at this incredible perfume store in Paris. When my wife and I entered, the salesman assumed we were interested in what the store carried, and he was interested in informing our curiosity. Whether or not we ultimately bought something was unimportant. It spoke to a confidence in what he had to offer.The salesman at the Jonas Gerard Fine Art gallery was the same way. I expressed an interest in one of the paintings, and he informed me about the painting. There was no sizing me up as a real buyer or not a real buyer. That kind of touch in the sales experience makes this a great place to visit.

Fascinating and lovely place. Jonas is a common sight. Definitely a must-visit studio in the River Arts District!

Boring artwork, perverse customer service. waste of time. Plenty of places in town you can find higher quality work that actually represents the community of Asheville.

Beautiful artwork in a gallery where visitors are encouraged to touch the art. The artist was present and friendly. Would love to go back and watch the painting demonstration next time we are in town!

My kids loved this Art experience! Jonas allows you to touch everything in his studio, he and his staff were so kind to my kids. Jonas asked them questions and let us take pictures with him and the nice lady in his studio showed my kids where he painted his work and explained the different mediums he used to create his art. Would highly recommend visiting so as to give your kids an exposure to abstract art and to teach those left brained children an appreciation for art in general.

Mesmerizing art and we got to meet the artist. This was in a Monday holiday and the artist was in the house. His passion resonates in his studio and art. It was the highlight of our visit to Asheville

Bizarre paintings.. About as close to vomiting paint on canvas as you can get. Unbelievable anybody would pay money for this canvas garbage. A drunk chimpanzee with a paint brush could do better job. Move on to a real artist and their paintings.

My wife and I visited Jonas Gerards gallery today and were mentally blown away. I had never seen abstract art that spoke to me before today. Whether it is the color or the form or both, I have not yet figured out. I just know that we spent two hours there and could have stayed all day.We were lucky enough to met Mr Gerard as we entered the gallery and spend some time with him and look at his art together. Listening to his comments probably helped being moved by his art.We also saw a portrait he did of his daughter at 16 and were deeply aware of his love and emotion in the painting.Do yourself a favor and visit his gallery. You may discover a feeling like I did today. I will be going back with the intention of adding some of his art to my home.

There are many great galleries on Clingamn Ave. This one you should stop at first. If you can try to see Jonas work, it’s awesome.

I attended a live painting performance where I saw Gerard throw paint on a canvas for 35 minutes and slap an $11,500 price tag on it. Simple, easy, talentless.I see better art hanging in the walls of my childs Kindergarten class.

The whole building has an artistic vibe and the chairs and tables is a nice touch.
