Beautiful, some of the trails are a bit challenging however definitely worth going for a hour or two hike
Quick hike through the woods and you end up on cliffs looking west over the Puget Sound and Straight of Juan De Fuca. The main trail to Sares Head is fairly easy and about 1 mile each way. There are roots and rocks in the trail so no wheelchairs. If you get onto some of the other trails they can be very skinny and right near cliff edges and also quite strenuous with steep inclines and declines. All the trails are fairly short. A friend and I spent 3 hours out here and walked almost all the trails.
A very fine forest walk opens out into coastal views.
Grate place to go on a hike! Beautiful views of sunset! Best in skagit county for sure
Easy trails to get some great sunset views, less crowded than Washington Park
Amazing view, free parking (no pass needed), well maintained trails. We love this place, cant beat the sunsets!
Awesome trails!! Beautiful views!!
One of the best views of Fidalgo island
Best sunset but bring a flashlight for the (15 min) walk back
Just a tranquil place to stop and get alittle mother nature.
Short and not very hard 1/2 mile hike to beautiful vista that offers navy base/whidbey island views, Olympics, San Juan islands and skyline views.....incredible panoramic views that I never tire off
Beautiful views, trails not marked well, can be a little confusing . Take a picture of the map at the parking lot.Update: As of summer 2019 when I was here, the trails are now very well marked. This is a very nice, quiet park with a half dozen trails to different viewpoints of the Puget Sound. Small parking lot
I come here numerous times a year. Its a great short hike to an amazing view of the ocean. Very peaceful
Gorgeous views! Wonderful trails and well maintained.
This is a great little hike! You can do a challenging route or a semi stroll area. Im not going to like I wasnt prepared for the sunburst trail while wearing my toddler the first round but we were rewarded with awesome views!!
Great little place for a couples picnic or a hike.
Hidden gem. Nice short hikes. No bears.
Awesome scenic views, great exercise, little more steep on certain trails.
This is a huge park we barely scratched the surface
Love it out there...water...cliffs...overlook
Great park with well groomed trails and beautiful views!
Large acreage offers a multitude of hikes suitable for didnt difficulty levels. Forest is nice, beach and bluff areas have a beautiful view of the Sound and part of Deception Pass. Despite nearby airbase, the forest is fairly quiet, though the planes are certainly noticeable once youre out of the tree cover. Bathroom at the trailhead is a port-a-potty, but picnic area is nice and parking is convenient.
Great trails
Great place for a peaceful walk
Great hike with sunset views to point - if you want a challenge try the sunburst and porpoise point hikes for great cardio in a smaller hike. Combine all hikes for a fine trail run/workout. You can continue past the point for some distance views of Deception Pass area.
Nice Park. On a warm day you can always find some shade.
Fun little park with great trails.
Very clean park with excellent hiking trails. Highly recommend
Beautiful view on Sares head
A beautiful nature reserve with nice cliffside trails and stunning views of the Puget Sound. A wonderful place to enjoy the bountys of the great northwest.
The best vistas on Fidalgo Island.
Lots of trails to walk. Easy parking.
Just stopped for a break. Nice.
WTA set up main train to headland views which are awsome..Salish Sea & San Juans. Other trails steeper rougher. Check out the marker to thank family gift to the people. Read about it & check the porpoises.
Such a gorgeous place. Wonderful place to walk year round.
Nice park with a couple of picnic tables and a lot of trails.
Trails need help ... too much trash that people leave behind
Fun place to hike around with great views of the ocean.
Nice walk to a fantastic view!
Very pretty
Nice park
