Washington Park is beautiful and amazing! What a wonderful peaceful place to camp. You can walk all along the outer loop of the park. With spectacular views along the way you can go down to the beach and see the tide pools Etc. The park staff are friendly and very helpful. The showers always have hot water. The park is wooded and shady for hot days.
Great location. Boat launch is decent, kind of gravely but had no trouble pulling our 17 foot boat out with our mini van.The campgrounds are well maintained. Some of the sites are just a spot on the road and offer no privacy, some are pretty good. The first come, first serve sites are hit & miss. We came on a Weds and got a great spot through Sunday. Has clean restroom and hot showers free. Firewood is for sake for $5 a bundle and they are delivered to your campsite after purchasing. The day use area is large with a nice beach for the kids, picnic tables and playground equipment but were closed due to Covid (playground closed). Pets are welcome. Lots and lots of trails. You can drive the loop too...with spots to park and get to the water. A beautiful place.
Nice green and alot of trees really nice area
Easy access to the boat launch. The beach is family friendly with a beach and clean bathrooms. Huge field also to have outside activities.
I love this park... Have been going here since I was a little kid. The loop is beautiful to walk especially at sunset. I also love to walk around the shore when the tide is out and check out the tide pools. Its fun to camp here and the bathrooms are pretty well maintained. Would definitely recommend visiting when your on Fidalgo Island.
Always a nice place to hang out with family. Beautiful views of the sound and nice walks along the water.
Best boat launch in Skyline. Would launch my boat there if I had a boat to launch.
Access to Rosario Strait, Guemes Channel, Burrows Channel and Deception Pass. Big views and open, dynamic waters. Great launch for experienced kayakers.
Supper awesome park very clean and secret!
Great launch with 2 lanes and a 100 ft. Dock...next to Washington Park...toilets and water nearby...launch fee and boat trailer parking fee.
Go for it if you have a nice day available
Great variety of species and views. Easy to wander around, through the woods, across the cliffs, and the meadows.
Lots of parking. Back around a corner to the gravel launch. Its deep enough for all boats
Clean launch, decent parking, top quality dock, sand ramp can be tricky if your not prepared for it.
The fact that there is pleasant aroma of salt from the oceans water... The waves of the ocean are so calm and peaceful that it creates positive vibes, and fills the atmosphere around you, as the sun beams the body of water and causes the water to twinkle like stars...
We had never been to this park before. There is a boat launch, day use area, hiking trails and camping. Very nice place! Worth the visit.
Great park and well maintained but boat ramp and trailer parking are the worst designed I have seen. Ramp gets blocked when incoming boats tie up but cannot get to ramp do to outgoing boats waiting for dock to clear. Curbs in trailer lot poorly spaced and damage wheels and tires.
Anacortes in a nutshell. Great for boating, hiking, camping, picnicking.
Very nice park, very scenic drive around the park
Wonderful park. I was there for the boat launch, which is what I am reviewing here. Pretty small launch space. Be wary of negative low tides. Came back and both docks were on the beach. Convenient location to getting from Fidalgo Island into the San Juans.
Its a nice place to stop and relax in the water, camping, etc. Definitely recommend it.
Excellent place for families with small kids. Great boat launch for boaters.
Stays busy, picnic tables and firepits available right at the beach, excellent atmosphere in the late evening before sunset. Parking available both outside and inside the state park entrance.
Very nice little park and camp ground.
Great place to go camping, hiking, fishing and a place for the kids to play
Washington Park has great views and is a wonderful family friendly place to spend a sunny, cloudy or even rainy day! There is beautiful beaches to enjoy, a nice loop walk, a bout launch and a kids park!
A favorite for relaxing
We attended here for a car meet it was pretty cool there is a nice view it is next to the fairies you can see a lot of the Puget sound from this view there is a fishing and a lot of parking as well its a cool day stop
Stunning. Breath taking. Beautiful. Look at that sky.
Awesome park
Beautiful park! Keep Really clean. Will be hiking again.
Always a great park to visit when we want to be outside with a beautiful view.
Beautiful spot to take in the sunset
Beautiful place at sunset
This is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The park is amazing. The new docks are great but there is still alot of gravel on the ramp. I saw two trucks get stuck yesterday. I have been launching there since the 1970s and I have never seen the launch this unmaintained.
Good protection, but watch out for low tide.
The park itself is a beautiful magical place. The boat ramp parking was not full
Fun hiking park! Great views!
The scenic drive was awesome!
This is such a beautiful park. One of my favorite places!!!
Washington Park scenic loop is a must visit.
Great little launch. Quick access to the San Juans. Pay attention to the tides though
This is truly a fun place to go. Big park. Lots of places to walk and enjoy the scenery. Lots of places to park, sit and enjoy the views. Fairly quiet. Kids love the playground, and the beach isnt bad... for Washington. Boat launch looks to be just fine.
Beatiful
Great loop drive/walk with views of the islands. Also nice beaches with easy access.
Quick and easy access to the saltwater. Lots of parking and beautiful park to wander and see. Its got it all.
Awesome view and trail to walk or drive on.
Beautiful place.
Always a great gathering place for family shindigs! Ample seating and covered grill areas. Reserve early for your chosen date. Nice campgrounds and bathrooms. Really beautiful park!
Beautiful view of the bay!
Such a beautiful place- even in the rain!
Great place to kayak! Lots of parking too!
Great park to spend time with a walk or you can park at a few great lookouts along the path. Vehicle/hiking/walking all sane trail
This state park is Absolutely amazing
Its beautiful, picnicing, camping, hiking trails
Great place to run. 2.5 mile loop road.
Ez in and out load plenty of room
Great sheltered boat launch for easy access to San Juan Islands and fishing.
Easy location for kayak launching.
Perfect park with beautiful scenery
2 launches, one on the left was a bit sandy, may need 4wd. No restroom close unfortunately.
Sweet place!
Entering into the San Juan islands. One of Washingtons hidden beauties. This boat launch and Park is a great place to enjoy the day and take in the views..
Just a great place to relax. This is one of the hidden gems from WA state.
Nice Spot
Gravel and sand on the ramps can be a problem pulling out if you dont have 4 wheel drive
Its always cold and windy when we make it here. It is usually packed though, lots of children for my kids to play with. The hill is work to get down from, but if you keep going left then down, its not so bad. We go here to pass time when waiting for the ferry.
Does anyone have any details about the actual boat launch? Funny that this is a BOAT LAUNCH and every reviewer feels the need to write the same thing “beautiful, nice views, etc... But nothing about the actual launch. Not very helpful.Appreciate if someone could answer-Grade? Can I launch anything at low tide?Is it protected or out in the open?Dock lengths? How many lanes? Is it always full?Cost? Thanks
Great spot to drop the boat and leave a vehicle. $7 a day, great deal. Kids play area, bbqs and two ramps.
Staying at the campground, nice for camping. Everything you would expect for facilities. Nice hot shower.
Great place to visit
Its a beautiful view
This is one of my favorite places to go and get quiet. Several hikes in the woods and above the water. Some are a little goat trailish especially the one above the water.
A wonderful park full of wildlife, trails, beaches, a boat launch and more!
This is an amazing park and we really enjoyed the trail. Did it with my 7 and 3 year old. As a bonus we got to see deers too.
Amazing view! Picnic tables, gazebos, sand & rock beach, walking areas, playground bathrooms, and camping areas. Beautiful views everywhere!
The quietest camp ground. The park Rangers are very kind. The site selection and layout are great.
Beautiful and quiet scenic views in Anacortes
Nicely re done.
Good launch lots of parking
For a city known for boating Anacortes falls short when it comes to user friendly public boat ramps compared to Everett and/or Bellingham. Very exposed, shallow, and a new go at low tides. Was happy to use it last night after Tound the County though.
Nice place to visit great bathrooms beautiful views excellent access to the water!!
The water looked like an impressionist painting with the sunset
Great n safe place to walk around, lots of room to explore, lots of pebble size rocks and hey even small seaglass.
This park is a real gem for camping as well as a boat ramp. Good hiking trails too.
Most beautiful place in the world.
The park is awesome for wildlife and fall and winter birds
So serene and peaceful!
Utterly breathtakingly beautiful country:)
I love the beach. And sharing it with friends is better.
Rustic campfire area and a pleasant view of the channel and ferry traffic.
