Lovely parks and walks that just got renovated. Great for families and pets, to picnic as well. Plenty of restaurants close by. Still some construction sites are not done which is a bit of a drag. If youre lucky, you can see Airforce One on the tarmac of Andrews Airbase on the other bank of the water.
WONDERFUL!! I was not able to take pics due to battery struggles. Great for the following: Boating, fishing, exercising, First date, family times, quiet personal time, dog walking, pack a lunch and grab a blanket and a great Book, and relax!! There are Restaurants and simply a gorgeous view. Beautiful Nature scene. In essence, you will love it. Parking is not free- pay via Park Mobile App. Enjoy!!
It was nice to walk down, couldnt see too much, was there at night time.Enjoyed it so much, even on my sorry trip, came have during the, day, it was much more busier, people walking down the path, kids playing in the fields. We even found parking right near by, the scenery by day is just amazing, the bridge which the highway goes over is nice, as you see across the river, MGM, a giant carrousel, which is all lit up at night. You can Raven see top golf across the river. Its a perfect place, just to chill, relax, snap some photos.Nice relaxing place.
It was pleasant, had a wonderful time walking around. It was unfortunately that we had already eaten before getting there., so many options for good food but at least we got some tasty ice cream for dessert.
Very beautiful. Surrounded by water. A lot of people hang out here.
Favorite place to spend weekend evening. Beautiful view with lots of Restaurant’s. Busy on weekend and hard to find parking.
Beautiful view of the potomac river and in old town alexandria so you can get great food as well.
Great! Took a moment to propose to my girlfriend here.
Not overly crowded. Lot’s of social distancing practices in place. A gentleman was playing a bagpipe. Peaceful afternoon. Restaurants open with outdoor seating and takeouts.
Fun little community hub in National Harbour Maryland. Lots of restaurants, a stage where there are college games are shown and the National Harbour Capital Wheel which gives you a great view of the area.
Good place for kidsCould have more sits and benches for people and families who want to visit it in the weekendMost of the porches belongs to restaurants and its hard in weekend (with nice weather) to walk around the water frontGood restaurants and art center
This is a great area to spend the evening. The restaurants have amazing food, theres a lot to watch and experience, and you can see National Harbor across the river. You can catch the water taxi from the docks.
Nice park with some benches and chairs to rest at, along with some statues.
Good for walk and food.
Beautiful park, great place to walk after dinner in Old Town.
Great for a walk or picnics in Spring/Summer.
Relaxing place. Popular for picnics.
Nice but very small neighborhood park.Yet often or regularly hold the festival as the photo shows. Maintenance nicely and nice location, next to the waterfront, restaurants and art galleries, good place for the sunny weekend or lazy afternoon after work.No parking but who cares. It’s mainly for the neighborhood anyway.
Nice place to spend day with many eat and drink options
It was a beautiful event that i have the privilege of securing along with my team.
It was a beautiful day to visit Old Town Alexandria!
Great place for food chill n walk.
Beautiful view of the Potomac River, perfect place to take that special someone for some romantic scenery.
Nice place to chill, relax and people watch & listen to semi.Loaud music!
Beautiful scenery. The cool breeze from the Potomac is second to none
Love this area ️
Lovely stroll along the water in this park
A beautiful view of the Potomac River where one can see MGM, National Harbor and jets landing at Reagan National Airport.
Is was absolutely awesome, all the restaurants were open and sitting outside. The wait times were not bad either
Great place with the river view
Oh how much I enjoyed this place - so peaceful except for the frequent airplane that can interfere with your peace!
Nice little park with Potomac river views and nice places to hang out. The best part is the nearby restaurants and shops. I went there at night and there are so many I couldnt explore them all that night. Also there is a free trolley that takes you to/from the waterfront or anywhere along Prince street all the way back to the King Street rail station, so that was nice. I walked 25 minutes there from my hotel (Embassy Suites near the rail station), but it was nice taking the trolley back.
Pleasant waterfront area on the Potomac, Alexandria. Can buy tickets for river sightseeing, water taxi. Cafes and restaurants all around. Public restrooms available, but close at different times of year.
Open park, nice views and close to amenities.
Beautiful views...and the new condominiums and townhomes will make sure that its a place I can ONLY view.
Great view, great food.
Beautiful New Year ️ celebration over the river.
Very lively place. One can spend the whole evening there and come out with a peaceful memories.
Wonderful- live music in relaxed, but safe atmosphere.
Great park. Many trees to fix hammocks. Lovely breeze
Nice place! Beautiful view
Park is recently renovated with a small fake turf area added for small kids, bench swings and tables and chairs added for hanging out and eating outside.
Nice pathway down by the water. Only minus is if floods after a rain.
Lots of fun! Great place to visit!
Great views of the water. Great place to enjoy with the family.
Great view and well kept park.
Its really nice what theyve done with the place
Very green park popular with dog walkers and joggers.
Its a nice little park on the waterfront great for some peaceful meditation.
Family friendly atmosphere with lots to see and do
Very live, free trolley transportation and great site seeing, you can really take in a lot of old town and the marina; which provides a much wider variety of entertainment and attractions.
I love this place,
So fun. Lots of people out having fun. The views are great. Wonderful for a romantic stroll
Beautiful and relaxing!
This is one of my most favorite spots in Alexandria and Northern Virginia. Not only does it sit on the Potomac River but the surrounding area has so much history to explore. There are plenty of great restaurants to choose from, art galleries, street artists, unique and brand name shops, as well as walking/biking trails. Ive been enjoying this area for over 15 years, its very relaxing and beautiful!!!
Great view, though it has been improved, still needs work to get five stars
Park on Lee Street and walk to this lovely and low key park. There are swings, a small playground and lots of open space. The park never seems to be crowded but is much enjoyed by the neighbors. This is a great place to read a book while the children play. Near the end of King St is the Waterfront Park area, lovely old style river boat parked up and lots of places to wander around, drink and get a great view across the Potomac river, well worth a visit.
As always enjoyed the place
Great views of the National
Very nice place
A really nice little park along the waters edge. It has some art and lots of benches to sit. It is also pet friendly. It can be really popular during the summer.
Nice
Beautiful fo vist
A great new space in Old Town and perfect to bring the young ones to play for a few before or after dinner when visiting. The Turf Square is great for little ones that want to put regular grass or things in their mouth. Kids can just run around and the views are good.
There are so many cute shops, diverse places to eat at, and things to do if you park your car and walk around. If you visit Old Town, youll see a lot of the older buildings that have been preserved! Look up the Apothecary Museum as well for something different to check out.
A wonderful place to relax on a beautiful day.
Amazing must visit
Went here for new year eve and they had good DJ and awesome fireworks. Worth a visit.
Nice little park. Great view of the river, not that great on available parking
There was a lot to see there and plenty of restaurant to pick from.
Nice dog, kids, couple, picnic, and sightseeing park. Plenty of food near by.
This whole area of Alexandria is amazing. Its historic, picturesque, homey, and full of restaurants with delicious gourmet food, creameries to die for, treasure-shopping lil stores with gifts and souvenirs like never seen before. Now, parking is a beast, and when found, expensive.
Fun all year round with boat shows and venues on the weekends.
They have renovated the waterfront at the end of King Street. It’s has a lot of open space including tables and chairs laying around. It’s a great spot for a picnic or just sitting around under a tree for people watching. The only downside is there’s no bathroom close by. You’ll have to walk to the torpedo factory for the bathrooms.
Nice park. Only ongoing construction makes bad aftertaste
Beautiful new park connecting the harbor to the original Waterfront Park.
Its a great place to walk and enjoy, an small part of old town Alexandria
A beautiful park that is a great addition to the Alexandria waterfront. Plenty of areas to sit and enjoy to view of the water. The only complaint is the City needs to make sure they stay on top of the trash. A lot of people use the park so the trash bins fill up quickly.
This is a great spot for relaxing and taking a break from the city. You can see the Potomac River, planes flying and landing from Reagan Airport, yacht traversing in the Wilson Bridge, people playing volleyball and family having a picnic. Parking here is not easy so I recommended to get here early to get street parking.
Very nice at night, Christmas decorations, almost no trash . Chill people
Its pleasant to walk there. People are nice and have good manners. In addition, the waterfront scenery is great!
Such a nice space to bring our dog to early in the morning and walk around. They always have fun events going on down there, too!
Its wonderful
Great place to relax
A wonderful place for an evening stroll along the water
Parking is difficult and the size isnt that great. But very peaceful, clean (for a park), and a great time if you bring your own activities. That is unless you just walk the waterfront trail.
Great place for the family.
Great little park in the Old-Town Alexandria. Going there almost every day for relaxation.
Its just an open field by the water. Its always over crowded on the weekend, parking is pretty cheap but the gallery is nice. They have many options for food..which is great!
Lovely to watch the sunrise.
The renovations to the southern side of the park over the last year are a vast improvement, the art installation, new sitting areas (which provide better views compared to the north side), benches, grassy lawns, and the extension of the walkway/dock combined make a very nice addition to Old Towns waterfront feel. (Check out the park just before dark.)
