Smaller than most but best environment and board...

Dowden Terrace Pool is a great facility. I have been a member for over ten years and my family enjoys the pool more each year! Recent renovations to the bathrooms and landscaping were significant visual and functional improvements. The pool is located in a remote section of Holmes Run, on the western edge of Alexandria, providing a quiet and tranquil environment. However, the ice-cream truck can still find us!

Great neighborhood pool.

Community pool open 50 years and counting, a mainstay of the community in West End Alexandria. If you have summer days to devote here, this can be a family memory. Go frequently to get your money worth. Swim team!

This is a great family pool. Its not super fancy, but the people and swim team are terrific. DT is very casual and welcoming. The recently landscaped hillside is very attractive and adds more area to catch rays.

This is a great neighborhood pool. When youve joined you feel part of a nice intimate community. Its tucked away in the back of a naighborhood, and surrounded by trees. The pool is small, but it doesnt get insanely crowded like the county pools.

I love this pool! Its a true neighborhood pool. One of the best parts of my summer is sitting on a lounge chair, watching the breezes blow through the trees, and hearing the laughter of the kids splashing in the pool. Its not fancy, its not big, but the people are warm and friendly.
