After living near Akron for 15 years we discovered this park 15 minutes from our house. Park has many acres of wide open space. There are forests, and several lakes. The main path is paved. There is a special trail for bikes and scattered picnic tables. You may need your GPS to find the park.

Always a great place to come and enjoy nature. Theres a beautiful paved path that goes from one end to the other of the park. There are also some other great trails I give you some good wilderness exposure but never leave you feeling too far from home.

Beautiful park which is never too busy. Surprisingly there are many nice trails here. Dog friendly. Even a beautiful lake with a floating dock you can walk out on for a secluded view.

5+ miles of paths and gravel access roads are great for walkers runners and birders! Many large open fields plus lush dense forest home to a Bald Eagle nest! Maybe you can find it too? The main path wanders through the preserve starting at CLE-Mass road near the chief totem pole and goes to Ira Rd.

My family has enjoyed visiting the beautiful Bath Nature Preserve for years. The wetlands and bogs offer a unique experience where one finds such tranquility walking among the paths while experiencing the miracle Mother Nature offer us sharing her most tender secrets. The gentle voices and songs of her tiniest creatures and the serene beckoning of her still glistening waters cradled in their soft earth beds, embracing their own vibrant plant life, is awe inspiring. The preserve is not a place to walk rapidly through, take your time, look closely at the grounds around you. Each time we visit I find more to enjoy, the diversity of this area can not be overstated. We have lost bout 90% of our wetlands and bogs (fresh waters), enjoy the honor of being able to enjoy your experiences visiting Bath Nature Preserve!

This park is a real gem and well kept secret in Summit county. Probably because Bath is out of the way from most places, but thankfully only 15 minutes from me in Fairlawn. I highly recommend you stop and take a walk here if you are in the area. I wouldnt know it was there if it wasnt for a drawing class I took years ago. We took a field trip to the park for a project. Its been equally as beautiful every time I returned. Its relatively small. I would compare it to a Metro Park. There are several interconnected trails. There are ponds (with swans), a dock for fishing by the research station, and paths weaving in and out of the woods and fields. There arent many inclines so it is easy hiking. There was only one downside the last time I went. My friend and I got lost because there were no maps. But its so nice, we didnt even really mind.

Located in the heart of Bath Township, this park is hidden from the city and roads around it... The atmosphere is amazing: so full of tranquility and serenity, I call it my meditation zone. Once you visit, you will fall in love with its beauty! It also has paved paths, so even when the ground is wet and muddy, you can still enjoy a hike in Nature Preserve and not come out all dirty :)

Tucked away gem that offers surprisingly remote-feeling walking and a 12,000 year-old natural glacial like, a rarity in Northeast Ohio. Beautiful and sexy quick getaway, especially on summer weekends when the nearby National Park is overwhelmed.

Excellent mix of different types of habitat and wildlife to observe, trails are well maintained. Small observatory, community garden, and University of Akron field station on site.

Great place to walk with beautiful scenery. Not the best for serious off trail hiking, since most paths are asphalt, but there are some horse trails that can be taken that are easier on older knees. However, it is a Preserve, so activities are limited to running, walking, and horse riding.

For some strange reason, if you walk a large dog here, it appears to be customary to not pick up any fecal matter, or just toss it to the side of the path. If you are a birder, and this place is heaven for birders, you will find extraordinarily large deposits from dogs. Beware.
