Visiting here during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yuma was a one day/ night stay for us on our way to Joshua Tree. We could quickly tell that the general population of Yuma are unconcerned with the virus and that the majority of restaurants were operating at full capacity. Regardless, we tried eating at Texas Roadhouse. Terrible experience as a woman and her companion (neither wearing a mask) had shortness of breath and had to be seated to recover... right next to our table. So next to our table that we could not have left our booth if we wanted too. Our concern at the incident was met with rudeness from the manager of the restaurant and the wait staff. After leaving Texas Roadhouse without eating, we ended up downtown at Holy Smokes BBQ, the attitude of the staff there was able to turn our experience around. We were grateful to spend our money with this small locally owned restaurant! However, I would not recommend visiting Yuma until the pandemic and COVID are well behind us.
