I stop to eat my lunch on my car it was nice and quite. They should put the trash can closer to the parking lot.

This is great park to take dog and walk around but I did notice a lot of the homeless started to camp there but they are putting fences up and cleaning the area up so I’d wait a min. Before going which is sad cuz it has a place for kids and horse shoes just not the best neighborhood

The trucks coming and going next to the park made so much noise you couldnt hear people talk and the geese leave a mess all over you have to watch where you walk

Camping but not year round. Limited stays. Guard at entrance not very friendly. I would not go back. Probably great if you drive up in a Greyhound bus style RV. People in all walks of life have a right to camp and enjoy the outdoors. It is located on the Yakima river for fishing, but so is Sarge Hubbard Park.

Im sure this is a great place to see a little league game and maybe have an adult only picnic. Theres hardly any playground and it seems to be designed strictly for kids ages 5-6+. We went there with a 3 year old and everything is way too big for her. The swings are almost 3 feet off the ground!Also, dont go here if you think you might have to use the bathroom anytime soon. Theyre boarded up and have No Trespassing written on all the doors and outside walls, which seems sad considering its a public park.

Elks Park brings back memories for me! It was a wonderful place where i spent special time with my husband. We would spend the day, hes sent me pictures of the sunset there. Lovely....Its actually a baseball field, so the word Park is adequate for this place because it is a ball park after all. If the public restrooms arent open at the time they have out houses that are open 24-7.Theres also a little market up the street. If they doing have what u need at three park during a game the market will.

If I could give this place minus stars I would. Not because the park isnt beautiful, it is. Its well maintained and kept very clean. That doesnt hide the ugly though. Do not break down at this park. Do not get thirsty in this park even if its 100° in the shade. The people (heavy set, angry at the world, mean lady) that runs the snack bar will look you in the eye and tell you that she has no 110 plug in to charge your phone so you can contact family and arrange pickup of your broken vehicle. If youre thirsty she will refuse to sell you water. Anything. She will tell you that its for the kids only and shes not open for you. Its such a waste of beauty in nature to have it marred by one ugly person and her ignorant, contrary nature. I told her god bless and am sitting in the shade of a tree surely waiting on the police that Im sure shes called. Do I look homeless? If I were would I deserve to be treated this way? Yakima you can do better .

Nice little compact little league fields.

Went here for the grandsons Little League game. Great fields that had a sort of 1950s feel. Good times!

I think weve always been a night in Oak Park highly recommended for chilling you know no not really a very safe place to be at night time but I mean welcome to Yakima
