Here with my my boys today. Bought 2 milks & a soda, paid with my credit card. Went back later to buy a bottle of water. Cost ($2) and paid with cash. The girl (taller, short hair blond) is not the friendliest; she barely wanted to take my money. Stuck out her hands and took the bills with two fingers as if they were contaminated. She left them on the countertop even after I had left. This is my first time here with my boys because we live close by, and will probably be my last. This experience leaves a bad taste. I do not recommend this place if this is the customer service offered. Clearly there are signs that say no food or drinks but the front desk staff is eating a cold sandwich. Other patrons who came later brought in outside food as well.

Took my almost 11month old to Get some Playtime, They do have a section for parents to sit while kids play However i just parked the stroller there and was with baby the whole time I had Looked up the playground online and saw It did have a section for smaller toddlers (baby friendly for babys that can crawl, climb) so i thought itd be fun to take my baby. There was no fee For baby to play and my baby did have fun I just had to be extra careful with the older kids Running throughout the toddler area overall i guess its an ok place to take baby to play we did leave once too many kids were running around .

Find it a little ridiculous that they have all these table but are not allowed to have food, yet they have 2 vending machines for drinks. Elderly lady working the front desk was rude and acted like it was an inconvenience to interrupt her while she read the newspaper to pay for admission, she didn’t pay attention to anything going on behind her, there was multiple people with food but only said something to 1 person. Overall the kids had fun.

Have a horrible experience with the young girl who was working as a cashier there today. I took my kids around 4:10 PM, I said hi and she didn’t respond and she kept counting some coins while I was waiting patiently. In the middle she looked me at and the fist thing she said was to make sure to keep the kids quiet and she started counting again. After she was done she look at me and said, condescendingly, “make sure you throw your gum before you go.” After I went inside more people start coming she was nice to them. I though as long as I pay I’m welcome too just like anyone. My understanding is that the play ground is not only for specific people or race. It is a public property and inclusive of all race.

Its not friendly for younger children. There is no place for kids to play that are toddlers. The area that is for slightly younger children has only a boat and a slide. The older children come through and step on the little ones or go flying down the slide, pushing the younger ones out of their way. If you have older children they will love the equipment but it is impossible to supervise them as you cant see them. There are much better indoor playgrounds.

My daughter enjoyed this park. We usually go to Good Times so we thought that this park was small. But what it didnt have in size it made up with fun scaling upward and downward entangled networks. I liked the tree theme and it seemed like a lot of the kids enjoyed the fake pond. I could see how it could be over crowded since it is quite small, however, we were there when there were a couple birthday parties going on and it didnt feel jam-packed full of people.

I dont think its really worth the entrance fee u til your kid is atleast 3, preferably 4. There is not much for kids younger then that. There is a small toddler area with 1 slide in a tree house with a boat next to it, but the boat is all busted up. There is a jumping area but it gets crowded with other kids and isnt very safe/fun for older kids. Its also in bad repair, patched up a bunch. The climbing area is hard for little kids, age 3/4 minimum for them to do it with you nearby. Its hard for parents to fit to go with their 2-3 year olds. Some parents let their kids go alone when theyre too young (2 ish) and they budge in line, crowd the slides, and kick/run into other kids. Im also not sure the people working their keep count of the kids there, it can be over run/appear too full. They have bottles beverages for sale, which is nice, but its all sugary things like pop, strawberry milk, and sugar water drinks in little kid bottles. The tree/flower/waterfall/ indoor garden place in the library is nice.

I would agree with many reviews on here in that Lookout Ridge is a fun indoor playground for the price. The theme is naturey with a lot of fun scenes placed by the artist, the structures are fun and offer a variety of climbing, jumping, sliding, and crawling with the structures being very safe and great for not harming smaller children. However, even though my 2.5 year old enjoys Lookout Ridge and we havent had any bad experiences, the toddler area is TINY, it is impossible to keep an eye on your children without chasing them into the equipment, and overall is designed better for 5+ year olds. And yes, the employees are very disinterested and most parents do not pay any attention to what their children are doing, though were you to go to an outdoor playground, you would find all of the same problems minus poor visibility. We enjoy coming here every now and then, and dont have any real complaints, but just be aware that little ones are likely to get hurt without close supervision.

Ive been to this place several times with my 3-year-old son and have to say its a pretty cool place. Its very well maintained and well keep your kids entertained for hours on end.The one kind of this place is that it can become rather busy in the winter months or on rainy days as to be expected. They do however limit the amount of people that can go in so that its still usable for the kids who are granted access.I had a recommend checking this place out however make sure that you are prepared to bathe your children in purell after youre done because its quite the germ factory.also be prepared to go in after your children when they climb all the way to the top and realize theyre too scared to go down the giant slides. as someone whos 62 I can tell you its not easy to get all the way to the top as most of the ways up require you to be contorted like some sort of circus performer.

Took our 6 & 2 1/2 year old here on a Saturday in the winter right when they opened at 10am. They had fun but a major draw back of this play park is they dont allow eating in the play park unless u paid to have your childs birthday party there, even though they have lots of tables to sit at. There happen to be a birthday party there that day and when the people brought in pizzas every other kid in the play park including my own were smelling the pizza and got overwhelmed with hunger. Because of that we had to leave after only being there for a hour. We drove 1 1/2 hours to come to this park so 1 hour of playtime was not worth the drive. The play park also could use some repair. The blow up jump area was so ripped and they just keep putting duct tape over it. Not worth the drive if u live more then 30 minutes away. We have no desire to go back. Maybe lookout ridge should do some research and see that all the other play parks in MN allow eating in the playpark. Hello, running around playing=hunger.

Great place to burn off some energy for the kids, even tho we arrived later in the day on Sunday and were almost deterred by the sign out front that Max capacity had been reached. When I went in to inquire I met the disinterested young lady staring at her phone that Helen described. She didnt even try and sell me the ten pack that my wife said could have saved us money down the road or offer any kind of discount with only 35 minutes left before they closed. We probably could have went right in past her and shed never have known we were there honestly. But I paid the full price, and the kids had fun. Im sure well go back at some point.

I like this place, I do, I just rate it down as a caution to parents with smaller kids (Age 4 and younger). During slow times this place is wonderful, the way everything is designed makes it very safe even for little kids. Everything of note is padded, and I feel confident that my child wont be hurt by the structure. Emphasis on that last part. The problem with Lookout Ridge comes from busy times, and God help you if someone is hosting a birthday party there. The vast majority of parents bring their kids here to dump them and ignore them while they gossip, read a book, or use their phones. Dont expect anyone to monitor or discipline their children. When its busy, just expect that there will be a train of 8 to 10 year old kids who will not hesitate to literally shove smaller children out of the way. Just today my child was shoved down the slide, and then three larger kids came tumbling down as a cluster and landed on top of her. I pulled her out with a welt on her face and her crying for me to take her home. This is not an isolated incident. On busy days (like Saturday) its a nightmare where tears and injury are all but guaranteed. On slow times (like weekday evenings) its a lovely place to let your kid have fun.If youre coming here with 8+ year old kids, dont be that parent whose kid ruins it for everyone else.

My only complaint about this place is that it is not toddler friendly. It would be, if parents of older children would remind them that there are rules. No running is indeed one of them. There should be a designated gated toddler section so older kids cant come tearing through and knock down little people. Its extremely stressful as the parent of a little person who keeps getting knocked down by the kids who should not be running, while their parents are set up with a comfy table, reading a book leisurely. You should still be supervising your kids. It isnt a free-for-alI. I also have an issue with the staff members who also arent enforcing the posted rules. Instead, they are sitting down, staring down at their phone WITH headphones in. Now there is absolutely no one supervising except for the parent of the concerned toddler. If I am paying money in a facility for my child to play in, I expect better enforcement of the rules, and also a safe place for my child to play. So parents of little people, be prepared to watch yours like a hawk! Its just too stressful, and Id rather stay home. Its unfortunate.

My main experience is regarding a 4 year old birthday party in April 2016. First, the kids loved it which is probably the most important as the party was not ruined, but the parent user experience once we arrived at Lookout Ridge was subpar. Party was double booked, staff there on a busy Saturday did not know much about parties other than setup and giving out bands. Table was not set up upon arrival, we were also short cupcakes that were prepaid. All of this was remedied but it was after our party time and stressful for me as the host. Not enough room to put gifts down for a large party nor enough seating for adults. I received no phone call after a less than stellar review to discuss issues. By mistake I left a package there and staff was patient and great about reminders, however, when going to pick up the present today, I was greeted by a RUDE staff member that literally said What do you want?! when she opened the door. I was told by email the present was in the office and assumed that was in the Lookout Ridge area. She told me it was probably at the information desk upstairs and when getting more clarification on where it was she was annoyed like I was supposed to know where it was located. I will not be back here for an outing and definitely not back for another birthday party. I have also shared my thoughts with the other parents who inquired about my experience there.

This is a gem of an indoor park. The price can’t be beat for the location and size! There’s a spot for toddlers that can’t quite get around and climb like all the bigger kid things. As for 3+ year olds it’s like a indoor tree house/maze with levels that go very high up. The hours for opening are later than most indoor parks (10am) and it gets extremely busy as soon as they open.

Our grand children are entertained for up to 5 hours at a time, playing on the climbing gyms and slides with other children their ages. Great for parents and grand parents. The facility is safe but toddlers need to be monitored so they dont climb onto the high gyms where they might not be able fyi get down. Some rambunctious behaviour from overly exuberant children sometimes needs monitoring because the one front desk staff never is in charge of monitoring. Hardly ever is anyone crying because of Ab injury...usually crying results from having to leave.

Heres what you need to know:Age range (playground): mainly 3+Seating: Several tables and chairs on one side of the playgroundBathrooms: YesOutside food allowed: NoParty hosting: YesPrice: Varies depending on when you visit. We went on a Thursday evening, during which they offer a deal. (See website for all prices.)Lookout Ridge is a forest-themed indoor playground located on the bottom floor of Woodbury Central Park. Its behind closed quarters (bathrooms and eating/party space), which makes keeping the kiddos corralled much easier.Theres a lot more to the playground than meets the eye; it takes exploring to see all of the wonderfully hidden nooks and crannies. At one end of the playground is a bouncy house complete with netting. My kids had a blast climbing in and jumping around this area.To the far back of the playground is an obstacle course. It has dangling vines, hanging wrecking balls, and poles to climb over or under. This was Madi (4.5) and Titus (3) favorite part of the playground.Another side of the playground is well-suited for kids at least 1 year of age. There isnt much to it: A quick walk through a giant tree trunk to a few stairs which lead to a small slide.Next to the playground is what I thought was the coolest feature: a pond of small critters and other small items (i.e. coins and amphibians). The critters are set in some kind of plastic so that theyre seen and walked over but cant be touched. A boat sits on one side of the pond. There are only a few entrances that lead into the playground. One is a climb up a rock mountain and the other a crawl up netting.Once the kiddos get into the playground, its hard to keep an eye on them. The playground extends up into a vaulted ceiling. From the seating area, I couldnt see where they were.If I followed them from the ground, I could only hear them. The play area is surprisingly dark, making it hard to see much aside from the playground equipment. My kids werent comfortable scaling the playground by themselves. I think this is largely due to the fact that it was a dreary setting with a lot of playground cramped into a small space.I personally would not return to Lookout Ridge. Even at the Thursday night discount price, it wasnt as fun an experience for my kids as other indoor playgrounds have been. The equipment is worn and ill-replaced.If youre looking for an indoor playground to host a party, youll have much better luck elsewhere (I really recommend Eagles Nest!), especially considering youre not allowed to bring food into the premises. Woodbury does most things well, but their indoor playground has plenty of room for improvement.

I dont normally go out of my way to complain in a Google review, but I was not impressed by the abundance of dust, lint, and small pieces of garbage and food debris (goldfish crackers!) that litters the base of the play equipment. When I politely inquired of the high-school aged gal staffing the desk, Who is responsible for cleaning this facility?, and physically showed her the clumps of dust at the bottom of the slide and along the walls, she stated that it was not her job to worry about it, the janitor is supposed to clean, and that the place gets deep cleaned once a month. She then stuck returned to surfing the internet, with headphones. As a paying customer and someone who strives to provide a great customer experience in my own work, I am extremely disappointed that she didnt even pretend to care. I guarantee the deep clean that takes place is not comprehensive. Whoever conducts it is wiping the cheeks but not the crack, so to speak.I unfortunately have a pre-paid punch card from long ago that will likely go to waste following my bad experience. As other reviewers have addressed, this facility is not ideal for toddlers. I do not recommend bringing a child any younger than two and a half years.
