Just paddleboarded here for the first time yesterday.Nice parking lot with lots of shade. Pretty little beach with swimming. You can launch from the boat ramp or the beach(outside of the roped swimming area)The homes along the lake are gorgeous, but the canals linki g the lakes are just stunning. Very excited to paddle here and explore more of the lakes and canals
First time paddle boarding. What a great experience!! We went as a group and we had a variety of skill level. We did a prayer over water which was a first for me. All in all it was a fun experience.
This is a hidden gem on the southeast portion of the Rollins college campus. While its a small park, there are walking trails and a dock to launch into the lake. There are many people paddle boarding and doing other activities on the lake. Definitely a good place to visit.
Great place to launch a Kayak, Paddleboard or boat to access the Winter Park Chain of Lakes. One can see Million Dollar mansions near Rollins college. The lakes are connected through canals. There’s limited parking, please arrive early! Lakes in the chain are named Virginia, Mizell, Osceola,Minehaha, Maitland and Nina.
Beautiful little park. Unique that it is has a small publicly accessible beach. So if you dont have time to go to the coast, you can take a few minutes and stop by the park and get that ambiance! Only drawback is that parking is limited. There is also a 2 lane boat ramp and youll see lots of people launching jet skis and small boats. On the whole, its one of my new favorite places for a quick break.
Great area. You definitely need to book the get up and go lighted kayaking at night. Amazing
Cute little park. Wouldnt even know its there. Private park with a lake & a dock for fishing. Plenty of benches over looking the lake.
Very nice small park, with restrooms and a shower to rinse off. It has two docks and a boat ramp, as well as adequate parking.
Limited parking so its best to get there early but once youre out on the water all your cares wash away. Beautiful views and so many routes to explore
Easy access, but motor boats need to get a permit at library nearby
Hinden gem. Lake access, nice seating area with shaded walk ways.. museum near by as well.
Few spaces for a trailer. Great place for a kayak launch and picnic.
GREATEST ADVENTURE EVER!!!JIM IS THE GREATEST!!!HELPED ME TO SPEAD MY DADS ASHES!!GO TO FALCON FLYBOADING!!!1000% WORTH IT!!
It was nice to see all the happy families getting their SONS and DAUGHTERS off to college
Was clean,Everyone doing there thing No problems. However I would want trash recepticals closer to beach area. I brought a trash bag for our group and wound up doing pick up over filling out bag of cups, cans. Did make the kids feel good
Parking is hard for larger boats, but beautiful dock.
Beautiful park with lake access. I highly suggest having a picnic here.
Beautiful waterfront with boat launch ramp and double sided dock. Roped in swimming area needs referbishment and cleanup after recent high bacteria level infestation.Bring you boat and kayak for the day and enjoy the water. But wait until they clean up the bacteria. For now come out with a book or picnic and enjoy the view of the water and the shade of the trees.
Nice kayak and boat launch. But there is very little parking! Get there early to get a spot. When we were leaving at 10:30am (on a Sunday) there were no spots available.
Nice little dock wish there was more parking
The lake scenery is gorgeous. Its not a traditional park. Its more like a boat ramp area with parking. With that said, there is a sidewalk alongside the lake. A very beautiful and scenic walk.
Lovely! parking very limited
Great place for motor sports but not good for paddle boarding or kayaks. Jet ski drivers aren’t considerate to paddle boarders
Nice place to boat or jet ski
Great little park to enjoy the lakes of Winter Park. Perfect for a quiet picnic or to drop in your jet ski.
Easy access to lake. Nice scenery.
Neighborhood boat ramp with nice beach for picnics.
Love this hidden gem! So beautiful and serene!
Quiet and not to crowned nice having shade
Favorite place to paddleboard
Terrible. To many boats, to many kids.
It’s one of my favorite spots in Orlando a great way to get into the water and kayak and clean the lake. Just watch out for the boat tours they don’t really care sometimes and can create a big wave in waves, not as much as the Jetsky crew. But all in all it’s a great place to kayak and give back the community by removing the trash.
Great place to eat
Cute little public Beach right next to Rollins College.
Nice quiet spot
Beautiful public park! Great for paddleboarding and other boating. There is a boat ramp and a small beach. Sometimes parking is limited.
Nice access park to lake, clean
Favorite Small beach spot close to home.
Fun place for water sports
Great little park or area to play with the family and or to load the boat in.
Beautiful place love it
Beautiful waters clear as possible
I really enjoyed my morning here. I sat in my car for at least an hour just gazing out at Lake Virginia. Then I got out and walked around so I could read all of the available information about watersheds. I will come back when I am able to explore the trail and learn about the impacts from storm water runoff, the water cycle; water levels, use and conservation; and types of retrofits to name a few... I really felt calm when I finally left.
Very beautiful
I thought this would be a great place to launch kayaks from. My friend and I came out on a Tuesday mid-day. I know the parking lot is small and hoped the week day would provide better access. We arrived to find no available spaces. While I stayed with our boats my friend drove around to find additional parking. FYI: There isnt any. Parking is available on Park Ave which is a long walk away. While I waited a fisherman left and I parked my car in his spot. NO SIGN saying NO PARKING at this spot. With that said, there is a sign saying no Rollins and overnight parking. The residents of the building next to dinky dock use this lot as their personal spaces. I saw a few Rollins decals parked there as well. I returned from my paddle to find a 25$ parking fine stating I was not in a space. Did the Rolling vehicles have tickets? Nope, I looked. Did the residents next door have tickets? Nope. Dont bother parking here its a scam for ticket revenue.
Wonderful place nice lake to swim
Almost still a secret.
Swimming area, bathrooms clean, boat dock, parking garage for free, very shaded.
Nice boat ramp. Less than 20 parking spots for boat trailers. Thats the only down side to this hole beach and ramp.
The best access to the Winter Park-Maitland chain of lakes. Power boat docks and sandy beach. Swimming area and separate dock. Parking is most crowded Saturday and Sunday mornings in good weather.
Great place to swim in the summer
Clean and good amenities
Nice, small swim area near Rollins College. Boat ramp. Public restrooms but somewhat limited parking.
Quiet Beach
Its a nice park with a small Beach paddle boarding
Christmas boat parade was fun. They need to start it at the judges stands, so you dont have to stand there for over an hour.
I love this place. Wether its hanging out with friends and boating on the weekends, or spending some quiet time at the lake with my son on a weekday. Its such a relaxing place with amazing views. And the boaters are always friendly!
Very pretty setting!
Little bit of everything. Great location and very clean. Take a stroll through historic Rollins College. Beautiful.
Very beautiful calm and quiet...
Wonderful place I lucked upon. Will return in future
Lots of families, jet skis, tubing, swimming. Nice bench for a picnic & shade options.
Today was the pokemon go community day. I always like to come to this area to participate. Dinky dock is a very gorgeous lake with pretty ample parking. There is always something going on down here even when the weather was a bit chilly. For your pokemon needs, especially on community day, there is a gym and 2 pokestops right at the loading dock for the lake. During community days there is always an over abundance of whatever pokemon may be spotlighted at the time. Dinky dock is pretty much right on the Rollins campus, this makes for an easy walk back and forth.
Nice place for relaxation
Very cool lake and canal system. The dock itself has little parking but is otherwise very nice. I parked down the street at the public library and nobody messed with it.
Such a nice little park.
Very pretty place. Nice location for paddle boarding.
Went paddle boarding here. Easy to get on and off board from this location. Have to go early to get a parking spot.
Great place to put in for paddle boarding.
One of the only public ramps to get on the chain of lakes besides the other one in maitland, very limited trailer parking for boaters (maybe a handful of spots, about 5 useful ones), and some of the long trailer spots were even taken up by compact cars. Of course its the only free ramp winter park has to offer, too bad it has useless parking.
Boat ride one for the bucket list. Beware of Captains Dad Jokes!!!
Beautiful place with a beautiful lake!! Bathroom is pretty gross though.
Easiest placr near my home to take the paddle board out. With just a short paddle you can access three lakes. Virgina, Mizzel and Oseola.
Brings back memories when I took my kids there 40 plus years ago.
Good fishing and kayaking
Born and raised here, love it here!!
Excellent
Cool place to relax
Its a good dock
Lots of fun paddle boarding.
Absolutely great for family time, photo shoots or a simple picnic over looking the lake. Restrooms are clean. There is access to lake for boats and jet skis!
Like Dinky Dock Beach and Lake Virginia. Its so good and popular for swimming and boating, kayaking on the shores of this lake.****
Great place to watch the Winter Park Christmas boat parade.
Great for on the water activities but the beach gets stinky and the shore line is not taken care of by the city. Clean bathrooms and a good shower too.
Beautiful scenery
Awesome 1 hour tour
Pretty good, lots of chads
Awesome spot to kayak!
Nice place!
