Im really looking forward to the faux boulders going into the park soon! We stopped by to check em out and they look great. The park is a nice stretch of grass along the waterfront with plenty of sitting space. Lovely area.

A beautiful old park coming back to life.

Parked our boat here overnight while on a trip down the Mississippi. Free for 24 hours and close to downtown. A great stop!

Nice little park in town to hangout and eat lunch at.

Dont know if you have heard about the splash pad... But its right on the river and a sight to be seen. Dont forget your swimming suit and be prepared to play musical chairs with the water fountains. Even an adult will feel like a kid:)

Its a nice view of the Mississippi river and the bluffs in Wisconsin very peaceful and relaxing.

From the outdoor farmers market to the brew tour, there are as lot of things that go on at the renovated Levee Park. Plus you get done great views of the river and the bridges!

Very nice place to go and sit and talk or think.

I have loved levee park since the 1950s when it was larger, flatter, and had enormous old trees.Im not complaining. If the berm had not been built, the city would have constant threats of flooding.Sitting and watching the water is so calming, I wish I still lived close enough to visit more often.

If youre out on the river, its the place to go to get your food delivered.

Great place to be alone with your thoughts! Also fun to bring other people. Look for Winona County Rocks (Facebook group) hidden around here. Find one and keep it or re-hide it!

Always cool to watch the boats and hope to see a barge or something cool. River is pretty high this year.

Visiting Winona and the girls at Wells Fargo were telling me about the recent improvements to the levee that were done so I went to check it out. I wasnt impressed- maybe I didnt go to the spot they were referencing but it looks like they just put in a few picnic tables and an arch that says levee park. Ive loved going to the levee since I was little...maybe they just arent finished with it?

Good tour boat rides and great scenery! The Winona City Council needs to quit driving restaurants out of downtown though!

Beautiful this time of year

Its a work in progress. Just opened this yeah it looks much, much better than in previous years. It was aneye - sore with the rotting pile of wood for a ship. Or as some locals called it The Boat That Dont Float open air bands from country, jazz, & American Grown Good. Im sure it will continue to improve year to year. But now the views from season to season is a MUST on your way thru. Not to mention other places on the see & stop-in list within walking distance.

This recently renovated park is a very pleasant place to be now! Nice seating areas with a view of the Mississippi and the bridge. During the summer they have Live at the Levee with live music and food vendors.

This was a nice area to walk around. We seen that they were setting up a ice skating rink for the winter. And doing some rock hunting inside the park.

It was a beautiful day to see one of the old fashioned river boats the American Duchess. And just weeks after the new Winona levee was done.

I watched the annual steamboat days fireworks event tonight. It was an enjoyable night. What could be better than watching fireworks over the Mississippi River while eating a dog?!

Went on Halloween night and enjoyed a fire. Very quiet down there and pretty at night. Never been during the day.

Our kids and dog loved the Levee Park splash pad and we enjoyed its location overlooking the Mississippi. Theres a perfect spot for a band shell, where live music was playing during the BBQ Festival.

Great view of the river!

Clearly a beautiful space and the ideal hangout on a good day. However, docked a star, as bringing in the docks and managing the space is clearly not a priority of the city. Docks are still out with extremely high water levels and theres trash littered about.

Levee park is really gorgeous. Winona put a lot of effort into making it a magical place.

The renovated approach to Levee Park is wonderful! Beautifully landscaped, tables for visiting and eating, small splash area for summer fun, and a great performance plaza overlooking the Mississippi. Will be a great gathering area for concerts and special events for our community.

Observed a fledgling Parigren Falcon from the Bay State nesting box. Branded both legs healthy the adult was on the roost outside the box. The levee is a special place.

Great place to bring the family

Its a beautiful and well-kept park with a great view of the river and lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops located nearby, making this a great place to stop for a relaxing day in downtown Winona. Unfortunately, it is yet another park in Winona that doesnt allow dogs, which is a shame. It would be nice to have more options for places to take mine, since theres currently only one park in Winona thats dog-friendly.

The Winona Boat Tour is excellent. Weve done it 5 times with different groups of friends. Always a winning adventure!

No playground per se, but a fun water feature at the new park, with surprise water spouting, which kids enjoy. Great view of the Mighty Mississippi, the bluffs, and bridge to Wisconsin, as well as houseboats, and catch an occasional barge headed downriver.

Nice place to take a stroll. Has some flooding issues in the springtime, but even then, an excellent park.
