Wilson Botanical Gardens

This small garden houses some interesting features and plants. Our visit was in the late fall and things were a bit neglected but all in all it was a pleasant visit. It does have a kids garden section with play area for kids.

Came from about an hour away to see the Christmas lights and was well worth the drive.....had a great time!

The Wilson botanical gardens is a wonderful place to walk around! Lots of pretty flowers and interaction.

A wonderful fall experience Saturday

Small garden, but my 13 year old and I really enjoyed it! Cant say the same for my 10 year old son who was bored, but thats about typical. Really lovely, but a lot of work needed to be done currently.

Nice little green spot in the mid DC league of Wilson. It was our first visit and what I saw today made imagine and ling for how it looks during the spring and summer months. It must be beautiful. I am really look in my forward to the winter lights at the gardens.

Variety of activities for children including a slide, a tunnel, art work to look at, paths to explore, a small stream, sand to play in, and a community book box.

Excellent gardens. Volunteer effort to maintain gardens. They do a great job! Love the small but fun stuff for kids. Nice educational plaques and displays. Great to walk through or just sit and relax.

Too dirty for my liking. An actual dinner plate IN the flower bed next to the front door. Parking lot littered with garbage. Flower beds spilling onto the sidewalks. Empty booze bottle on the walking path. Disappointing as we are new to the area.

This is a really neat place for all ages to enjoy. They have a small slide, sand box, and more kid-friendly attributes!! My family and I loved the plants and the water wall which sprinkled rain water when you walked over a sensor.

We went to see the Christmas lights! My four year old enjoyed it. If you have mobility issues, use caution as some of the paths are dark during the Christmas season. Loved that we got to see Santa and were able to take our own picture with him at no cost.

Cool little garden with a gazebo and water feature. For being just off a pretty busy road, the setting is lower than the landform so its still peaceful and quiet

It was nice; some lights were out, however, a little pricey to pay same for toddlers as adults-$5.00 each.

We attended the Wilson Winter Lights at the Wilson Botanical Gardens. The lights were nice. They had some really pretty pieces and had lots of volunteers there in the parking lot and also in the gardens. Santa is also there so if you get a chance, take your children to see the lights and Santa.

I especially liked the childrens section. It had interactive sections and large musical displays. It would be a great place to take pictures.

Love the secret childrens garden part. The water features werent working, which disappointed the kids our most recent visit, but other than that, its magical. Love the planting and childrens activities and edible fruiting plants. My kids enjoy running from the stream of destiny to the gong. They love the magic tunnel too and the sunflower sprinklers. The raining roof is so fun when its working. This garden is exactly the sort of place kids should have access to to help them experience the beauty and power of a good garden. Its so good for their imagination. We drive an hour to get there and happily do it a few times a season. Its my favorite local day trip.

This place has clearly been forgotten and on a beautiful day as today is unkept. So excited to come here and did not expect to be let down. How unfortunate. Water dirty, flowers wilted and dead.

A surprising little gem in Wilson! Great for kids and free! We loved the childrens garden and seeing the carnivorous plants.

I really loved the childrens secret garden! This is great fun for you and the kids and is not to be missed. If you call ahead, you can even get a free tour! Please note that this garden caters to pollinators: if you are allergic to bees, bring your shot just in case and dont go in the morning when the bees are busy. Went there to see the lights. Came all the way from Williamston and nothing was on. Very disappointed.

I used this as a place to shoot maternity and family pictures. Its a quaint place with plenty of unique features to enjoy and explore. Kids can enjoy the slide, tunnel, tire swing, and other unique things.

Love it so much, you can spend an hour here and still not find all the secrets. Its a beautiful place. Perfect for toddlers to run and climb :) Its free!

Definitely a hidden little gem. Fun for all ages.

Great place to visit with your family and friends

Have only been here during Christmas season but the decorations and light displays were absolutely beautiful.

We were there for a wedding and it was a nice small venue.

Omg....The croaker fish was delicious! Fried and seasoned to perfection. I was visiting from out of town and look forward to returning just for that fish!

Considering the season we went, it was still nice but we didnt go in too far, wasnt sure if it went further in or not. Nice section for children.

The garden is absolutely wonderful to bring younger kids too. Adults that enjoy photography and/or art would likely be able to pull some neat artwork out of a visit here.

Went there for photoshoot of my Granddaughters and was very disappointed in the lack of flowers and condition of some areas. There was even an old crushed soda can with sharp edges & other trash laying around. Ive been there before and it was in much better condition then.

The gardens are very nice it is up and coming are building more and making better things but it is very nice place to visit and take pictures
