The people who run the house are lovely and caring. My track team and I volunteered here to help clean up and had a great time. They love their work and truly care about Wilsons history
THE SOUL RHYTYM AND GROOVE BAND RICKED THE STAGE TODAY!
Wonderful staff! Great place to explore African American History. Amazing example of how one man built a Tiny Home for his family, before it was Trendy! You wont be disappointed.
Its very entertaining
Historically significant African American property! Must see!
Not a Railway Roundhouse......but based on a circular (round) floor plan as well. And what was waiting for us was a nice little museum with lovely staff! It took us a little more than an hour to tour the exhibits at this attractive location and we had the chance to learn a lot about Wilsons local history.Oliver Nestus Freeman obviously was a very creative craftsman who built his round house that today allows visitors to increase their understanding of cultural traditions and contributions made by Afro-americans to society. We at PHILS WORLD TRAVEL recommend a tour of this unique attraction.
There is so much information to be found here.if you want to know about the famous people just stop by you will be amazed.
Nice stop but hours are limited!
