Very very fun ride. if you’re not into fast paced and full drop roller coasters this ride is for you. it give you thrill but not too much to the point where you’re terrified. the lines are long but it’s worth it because it’s so good
Holy cow!!! I was not expecting that at all. Definitely a ride for thrill seekers
This ride is highly underrated in my opinion. It gives way to the high flying coasters of apollo and griffon and gives you something that neither of those can. Tight hairpin turns, a narrative guiding you through the ride and exhilarating and unexpected features. The view of the lake is also hard to beat considering it is a much smoother ride than lochness.
BGW employees efficiently cleaned seats in between each set of riders. The ride itself is fast and scary! (According to my 7 year-old) Cant wait to ride it again! Auf wiedersehen!
Line is RIDICULOUSLY long but if you come at night thered be little to no waiting time. its more fun to ride it at night anyways. nice theme and the final drop really pulls it all together. very smooth unlike alpengeist.
My whole family loves it even my 7 year old daughter !
Great, but a little rough in the dark, cant see turns coming
A great ride at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. A must try.
One of the best roller coasters in Busch Gardens.
Total fun especially at night!
This ride always scares me half to death but its awesome!
Verboten is my favorite ride at Busch Gardens! It seems like it goes faster at night. I wish they didnt get rid of the videos you can buy of yourself on the ride though :(
Verboten is a awesome rollercoaster!
This was my second roller coaster ever and it cemented coasters in my mind as something I actually can enjoy and not be afraid of (dont get me wrong, it was very scary lol). It was so full of surprises, theatrics, and scares, I almost forgot it was a roller coaster. I would ride this a million more times!! LOVE!
This was the first time I ever rode Verbolten, AND I LOVED IT! The rise takes you through a dark tunnel and drops a few feet before launching you a second time at high speed. It was fast, a bit scary, and supper fun!
So beautiful and tons of fun
One of my favorite rides at Busch Gardens! If you like fast and a joy fun ride. This ride goes through a tunnel and the track drops to another track. If you like all of this, I think this is the ride for you.
This is one of the best of the best! This is a cant kiss roller coaster for all. It does not go upside down but the thrill is amazing. If you have never rode verboten it has a great surprise waiting for you. Dont kiss the chance to ride this roller coaster.
Great coaster to ride at Busch. Fast, with a fun story and a twist at the end! Has fans/misters in the summer time to combat the heat. The wait can be a bit daunting but there are two loading areas for a faster line.Verbolten is located next to lockers for personal items. There are several areas to explore if you have someone waiting on you to ride like Italys shops and the Festhaus in Germany. As a regular to Busch I always ride Vebolten if I can; its one of the best rides in the park!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS RIDE!!!
My husband and I moved away from the area in 2001. We just moved back home. We went for Christmas Town. We rode this one. We are 60 and it was a blast. We had no idea about the drop. What a fun rollercoaster. Looking forward to next summer.
Best ride at Bush Gardens for sure
This roller coaster is probably my personal favorite because its fast and fun but not as intense and hard on the body as some others with all the twisting and shaking. Im in good shape but cant tolerate many of the other coasters as well as I could when younger. Unfortunately, it often has one of the longest waits in the park, so best to visit close to opening time or on a slow day.
One of my favorite coasters. Lots of different elements from multi-launch, to drop, to dark ride, to normal coaster stuff. A truly great experience. You can not take anything with you on this ride so plan accordingly. They even make people take off their hats. There are lockers where you can store your belongings.
Awesome ride. Lines can be long at times but if its your first time, its worth the wait. You can not take anything with you on this ride so plan accordingly. They even make people take off their hats. There are lockers where you can store your belongings.
Aahhhhh, Busch Gardens. A fun way to spend a day. Im not really a roller coaster guy, but even so, Verbolten is a pretty fun ride. The 2 quick 0-60 runs are a lot of fun. Brings back memories of the old days when I used to build cars that would give you whiplash and keep the front tires off of the ground for as long as you stayed on the throttle, or at least until it became necessary to steer, therefore making it a situation that pretty much forced me to let off of the throttle! Yep. Verbolten. Fun. Try to go during Howl-O-Scream though. The Gardens is hotter than sh*t in the summer, plus in October, there is the added benefit of everything Halloween! Now thats a good time!
All of the coasters at Busch Gardens are great, be and the park is kept beautiful year round. Verbolten is a great coaster for those who are just starting it on coasters - yet it delivers a fun ride!
This is a great replacement for Big Bad Wolf. Its fun and thrilling, and has that drop track. Im glad they kept the dive above the Rhine river. Just be careful of the section of track in the event building. It does a quick dip from the drop track to the launch track, and if your head isnt forward and away from the headrest, sometimes it punches the back of your head and gives you a little headache.
One of my favorite coasters. Lots of different elements from multi-launch, to drop, to dark ride, to normal coaster stuff. A truly great experience.
Best ride ever
Great coaster for sure! Definitely has some unexpected scary parts! But was so much fun to ride
I went on the ride at the urging of my nieces against my better judgment. I definitely regretted it. Not for old people.
So many different elements going on with this ride, from fast launch, total black out condition to a rail drop. Very exciting rollercoaster.
Big Bad Wolfs replacement certainly lives up to its predecessor. The new tunnel addition adds a big surprise. Seated cars instead of free standing seats. No upside-down portions. Great ride!
One if the best rides I have ever ridden. Four different versions of the same ride and thrills all around!
This ride is amazing! It had a very good climax. There is a tunnel with flashing lights in it. It has about a 7 foot drop. There is one point where it drops the cars instead of going down a hill. It then goes very fast. I would recommend!
Best coaster in VA hands down. Yes, the line is often long, but that’s because everyone wants to ride it. The launches and the lights/colors/sounds in the “Enchanted Forest” are what makes this coaster so special. I love waiting in the dark for the drop - so exciting! I’ve been to BG Tampa Bay, SeaWorld, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, and Six Flags, but this coaster is my very favorite of them all. 5 stars all the way. And it’s so smooth as well!
There verbolten was definitely worth the wait in line super fast. Highly recommended
Very good ride. Smooth and enjoyable. Hats off to Busch Gardens and their ride maintenance crews
I love this ride so much!! It’s so fun and thrilling. The only downside is that I gray out during it, but I still really enjoy this scary ride! Verbolten is my favorite ride in the park because it is such a fun and unique rollercoaster!
Great ride...
I miss The Big Bad Wolf, but this ride is a good replacement, a must ride every visit. It definitely has some unexpected parts which made it more enjoyable and exciting.
Very good coaster, and very underrated. It looks calm, but it can actually get a bit intense, which is almost always good. The launches are nice, and the theming is amazing, probably the best theming in a park COASTER that I’ve seen so far. It’s nice for all ages, and it’s a great supporting coaster in the park.
One of the best roller coasters I have been on! Ride is smooth and exciting! Get ready to hang over the edge for a second right before you go down the drop! Harness and seat feel very se ure! Great speed too!
Amazing by far but the voice is very annoying
This is our favorite rollercoaster, its the first I talked my daughter into riding and she loved it! Now whenever we are at Busch Gardens we have to ride it at least twice.
I love the dark mysterious room it takes you too and leaves you with a surprise.
It. Was. INSANE!!! There were some surprises in the dark, which made the ride even better! If you want to ride a coaster that is fast but does not go upside down, this one if for you!
Best ride in the park and probably in my lifetime!
I pood a little.
Awesome ride
My second favorite roller coaster behind Apollos Chariot. Love the dark cave and the crazy surprize drop. Super fun!
Great (mostly) indoor coaster with a little surprised in the middle. Lines seem longer than elsewhere in the park...
I grew up loving the big bad wolf, this coaster is the best replacement I could ever want. Just awesome!
Its a different style coaster.
This is my favorite coaster at this park. I personally love launch coasters and this is a great one. This is also a good first coaster. The drop is not bad and the vertical drop is fun. This is a very unique coaster and is worth any wait. You must get on it once
This ride is very unique and awesome in every way.
This roller coaster is awesome. That drop in the tunnel is epic!!!!
All-around fun time on this ride from beginning to end. Its a suitable replacement for the Big Bad Wolf, which used to occupy this spot in the park
One of the best rides ever. For Disney fans its Rockin Rollercoaster with a touch of Haunted Mansion. Exceptional Ride.
Great roller coaster! The ride is better at night, sux when the line is too long, I wont wait.
Rode this for the first time today and it didnt disappoint. I watched a ride on video from YouTube and definitely couldnt tell it had dropped. This by far was the most different and heart pounding coaster Ive ever been on in my life and Im 32. Been riding the big ones since about 11 yrs old. I also would.not recommend this as a childrens ride especially if they are easily afraid of trying new things and high thrills.
Intense.
Though at times, when the line is long (BTW- would recommend Quick Queue Pass for this ride on busy/full days), this ride is still one of my favorite rides at the park. I always try to find a way to fit this in my trip to BGW. And once you get off the ride, treat yourself to some Fresh Pretzels and Pretzel Bites across the entrance of Verbolten! You’ve Earned it!
One of the best rides at Busch Gardens! It starts out as a easygoing ride at first until you get launched into a tunnel! It is a fast and satisfying ride with drops and a surprise vertical drop (well it isnt a surprise anymore...)! I have rode it several times and I believe each car has a slightly different experience when you are slowly moving inside the tunnel. You can also purchase a video of your reactions at the end of the ride (if the kiosk and cameras are functioning) to share with others!
Love the Verbolten. For big details can always get the coaster reviews. But for short and sweet, no inversions, launch style coaster with different light fx inside the building where most of the coaster is located. Great finishing drop at the same location of its much loved predecessor the Big Bad Wolf.
Best ride in the park. It is an older style ride, with less height and speed than others. However, it is very well designed and ends up being more exciting that the tallest and fastest rides.
Love it! Gotta try it for yourself to experience
Very fast ride - most of which is in the dark. Quick drop at the end. Might be a little too scary for those under 10 years old. Great for roller coaster lovers.
Great ride. Can be a little overwhelming for little ones but overall a great family coaster.
This ride is great, but I wouldnt call it a family coaster. It doesnt make it any less fun though! I really like the 2 drops and the actual line! Very fun.
This coaster is full of surprises, the hill is not big, under 100ft and spoiler alert: in the dark tunnel it drops like an elevator
This was my first visit to Busch Gardens during Howl-o-Scream, and it was fantastic! The park is decorated into different Terrortories and after 6PM, the official witching hour begins. Man, there are a ton of people waiting to get into the six haunted houses! We purchased Quick Queues (thank goodness) which saved a ton of time. Otherwise, Im not convinced that we would have actually made it to everything. The bigger rides are open, but you should probably ride those before 6PM and save the time after 6PM for the haunted houses. They were not super-scary, but fun if you are willing to be scared. Because there are so many people, you can generally see the scares coming before you get there, but even knowing things were getting ready to jump out at me, I still jumped, screamed, and ran. Fun stuff! We did Igors Fright Fest. Its an expensive buffet, sure, but it was worth it. The mashed potato bar alone was worth it. And its just a fun splurge. If you have the time, and especially if youve spent the day riding roller coasters, this is a nice break for food, seats, and a good show. Keep in mind that these shows tend to be a bit racy. I dont have any children to worry about and Im certainly not a prude, but some of it can be a bit...wow. Just sayin. All-in-all an enjoyable experience. If you can make it out to Howl-o-Scream, do. Youll enjoy it!
Amazing coaster! Doesnt jostle your head like a lot of others. Lots of surprises! Fun!
Overall, good ride. I found that the ride is a lot rougher than it use to be and head banging will occur.
I enjoyed this ride.
The best ride evvvver..️
This is a great amusement park with tones of fun for all
I liked it the first time, but I have only gotten to ride it once. Every time we have gone since then it has been broken down, shut down, or a car was stuck on the track....so thats why I give it two stars.
Nice rollercoaster! Thrill full ride! Definitely recommend riding this when going to a local Busch Gardens!
Great ride with excellent acceleration and ever changing surprise moment. The ride is comfortable and well laid out although little riders need to get their heads stabilized against head tests as the acceleration bursts are unexpected.
Intense indoor/outdoor family coaster. Really fun to ride.
The ride is fun, brakes down a bunch to me. Seem to catch it at a bad time a lot. What a great ride though with a wonderful surprise for riders who never road it before!
Its a little short for my liking but otherwise a great ride
Love this ride! Always the longest wait in the park, but worth the wait. Im no spoiler, but there is quite a surprise during the ride.
Fun fast paced coaster with some surprise drops.
Its a unique ride that is a definite must.
So fun! A little on the spooky side but great!
Coaster has elements not found in other coasters. Really great!
Warning! Id rather be water boarded than ride this thing again. The best way I could describe it is rush hour traffic in a philly cab on meth and acid w no ac.
Always exciting to hear the terrifying screams on a Rollercoaster ride ! Otherwise, its just like another ride and theres no reason to rush back on it...
Love this ride its one of my top roller coasters!
One of my favorites at Busch Gardens. The magnetic launch feels like you take off at warp speed, and the free fall is really intense if youre not ready for it. The atmosphere is pretty cool too, theres supposedly three different endings but Ive only ever seen two!
One of the best coasters in the park
Fast, fun, scary and overall amazing
Awesome ride and fairly quick lines
