Nice clean park. We were disappointed by the lack of bicycling areas despite being advertised as bicycle friendly. The only trail you can ride on is a paved path that doesnt even have access to the parking lot. Signage on parking costs and even how/where to pay also leaves much to be desired. Luckily its only $2 per vehicle to get in, but it still felt like a bit of gotcha.

Nice park. You do have to pay to get in. Its $2. Lots of docks to fish off. Boat and kayak rentals. They have a disc golf course there too. We played that. Harder then it looks. Cost $2 four the 18 holes. Didnt have discs (small frisbees) so rented those. $1 each. Was quite the course. All in trees and very challenging for newbies. We played the short tees and the white flags. All par 3s for us. Fun day but humid. Take lots of water. It took 2 of us about 2hrs.

Beautiful park. My family really enjoyed walking the trails. -1 star for the poor condition of the paddle boats (my side filled quickly started taking on water) and the rented lifejackets smelled like they were pulled off a corpse. Otherwise we had a great time and will come back soon!

I came yesterday a busy day the line was long and not enough boats. My experience wasn’t a good one but once I was on the boat nature didn’t do me wrong. The young man’s behavior who was working as the cashier was unacceptable. There were no boats available I asked if there was a waiting list he said no and we had to wait until a boat came in to request a boat. I stand nearby and right before my eyes there was two people on the wait list according to the cashier. He said there was no rules but decided to start a wait list. I was third in line which I should of been first but he chose to start the wait list after me. Well I let that pass. I saw the third boat come in so I told him the boat was here he said I had to wait until they checked the boat back in. But the two people ahead of me didn’t have to wait for the boat to be checked in. But I let that pass and waited 20 minutes for the boat to be check in after the long line. I’m glad nature wasn’t given me a hard time and my ride on the boat was peaceful. When I returned the boat I got in line and noticed people were getting on the boat I just parked. Now why did I have to wait for the boat to be checked in while others didn’t. The rules should be consistent and fair for all. I wished I should have spoken to the manager because the cashier’s behavior was unacceptable. Not sure why I was obviously treated differently in my eyes this was discriminating behavior and unacceptable! One star goes to nature for welcoming me.

Great hiking experience, the trail is primarily within the woods, which is shaded and a good walk. Theres also a hardtop bike trail, a dog park area, and rentals for canoes and paddle boats. Pavilions scattered around so it can accommodate family picnics. Worthwhile trip for those that like to be outdoors.

A wonderful place that not enough people know about. Prices for rentals (kayak, canoe, boats, etc) and disk golf are lower than any other local park that I know of. The dog park is large and kept clean, and there have always been other pups to play with when we visit. The staff is friendly and very efficient, and information including paper maps of trails is easily accessible.

You have to pay $2 to enter the park. We wanted to scope it out to see if we liked the water and could bring our own kayak later in the day. Not worth it to get in and be disappointed so no go for us. Would’ve been better to have paid parking spots inside the park so we could’ve Atleast dropped someone off to check it all out.

Really nice park to visit, especially if you have kids that appreciate nature. They also have boat rentals, and they sell drinks for $1. The general admission is $2 per car regardless of how many people in the car.We loved it so much, that we went there 2 days in a row.

A wonderful trail system with both long and short hikes. Canoe, paddle boat, motor boat rentals, by hour and by day, at quite reasonable rates, to go hunting for large mouth bass on the clear water, surrounded by deep green woods, all minutes away from Williamsburg.

Always a great experience at Walker Mill Park. My son loves to fish and we typically either fish from the dock or rent a boat with a motor to enjoy the water. You can rent everything there at their boathouse. Worms, boats... they even have snacks and drinks. The employees are friendly and helpful. I’ve lived here all my life and Waller Mill has always been a great place to come!

Visited park today. Boat launches were closed due to encroaching tropical storm Isaias. But we were able to get in a decent bike ride and a 5K run. Good, clean trails with restrooms. Friendly staff. Normally costs $2 per vehicle, but due to storm, todays visit was free. Paved trail from one end to the other round trip was 4.5 miles. Lots of other hiking trails that are pet friendly but closed to foot traffic only. Will likely visit again this week. 10 minutes from our resort in Williamsburg.

Waller Mill Park is definitely a local favorite. All the activities are very cheap and really fun. You can do anything from kayaking to renting little boats and fishing gear to hiking to going to their dog park. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful. One note, you do have to pay for parking. Its very cheap, literally a couple dollars, but just a warning for new visitors.

Love the trails on this park, I would rate it higher but during the summer make sure to bring a strong bug repellent. Its not the mosquitoes like you might expect but they seem to have a lot of ticks here. HOWEVER, dont let that distract from the enormous number of things that you can do here from boat rentals to a nice dog park.

Beautiful and serene. My husband and I were able to have a nice morning out on the water, take a hike out on one of the trails and all for only $10 because we got the two person kayak for $8 and paid the $2 for parking. The staff was very friendly, Dylan was a great guide getting us in and out of the water. The current brought us right back to the docks so we didnt have to worry about getting tired and not having the energy to get back. We had a great morning here
