Had a wonderful visit this afternoon, even with the rain and mud. This is outdoors! Both workers were very friendly and offered my friend an umbrella since she had planned to wear a hoodie to protect from the rain. The money paid was well worth the experience, fun, and awe of the statues that were once placed elsewhere. I will gladly pay again to visit to make sure these treasures dont disappear!Make reservations online, do not go when there is not an event. This is private property and a working business. Please adhere to the signs and the information on the website.
Absolutely do not go unless you have a tour booked, which is $20, must be booked in advance on a weekend, and is 3 hours long. I tried going here on a weekday and they were all very upfront that its private property and that no one was allowed in and that not everyone was friendly as them about it. A cop was waiting for me by the time I walked back to my car to escort me out of town. Itd probably be a good idea to take this off of Google Maps, to be honest.
A really unique experience! The event coordinators recommend you wear not-so-good shoes, theres definitely some smaller lakes, bigger puddles in the back statue area. Excellent!
This is not a museum, like it seems like when you just google it. You have to pay (a little too much if you ask me) to walk down a dirt path to see all the heads. It is not what I thought it would be, the heads are very close together but there is still opportunity to get good pictures. If it wasnt so expensive I would give 5/5
Really cool experience, would definitely go again. Would recommend for others that are also into history.
This place is worth going if you get a chance. Simply amazing. You need to get a permission to access though before you go as it is on a private property. Look it up online for tickets.
This was surprisingly fun. There were two presentations, one of presidential trivia and one on the history of the heads (not presidential history). Great place to take pictures. I went on labor day weekend and the crowd wasnt bad at all. If its been raining make sure yiu wear appropriate footwear. Also the heads are not in a landscaped field. The grass around them has chiggers, ticks, mosquitos, sometimes even snakes so dress appropriately. All in all this was a wonderful activity!!
If you love head, youll love this place.
Very interesting perfectly weird loved it
Can we just share the fact that this was supposed to raise money to move the heads back to the park and even though this dude does these photo tours every year it has yet to do anything much less raise money. Where is the money going?
If you have not seen these, its amazing. Great time
Book a tour, its a lot of fun and very interesting. Guide had many interesting facts about the Presidents.
Sorry....went by and was told by construction worker that its not open to the public. You much make an appointment to see. Sad
So worth taking a look when you get a chance
Amazing. What an experience! Photographers heaven.
Very disappointed, we drove down to see the heads. First thing there are only to showings one is at 2:00 and the other was later. It was at some sort of house or something. It was in the middle of a field not even really taking care of, and they charge 20. a person to get in!! ;(
I saw these back when they had their own park, and were in immaculate condition. Cell phones werent ubiquitous back then and I didnt have a camera, and as years passed I could never find them anymore. I started to doubt my memory, but the internet came to my rescue and I got a couple of tickets here. The backstory is really interesting, and yet, sad. They are making more money crumbling into waste than when they were as intended. Its not a museum or a park here, you hike into a grass field with ticks, snakes, spiders and mud, and when you get there everyone is taking selfies with the heads, but it was worth it to me to get closure to a memory I thought I had dreamed up.
Absolutely Amazing!!!
Theyre all dead
Amazing
Dramatic and interesting
Amazing place preserving history!
Private property. This place is closed to public
Tried to make one of Trumps grotesque head, but not enough orange spray paint to complete.
You can only see them here, for free. Check it out.
Unique experience. Thanks
Ironically funny how more people want to see these ugly, half destroyed and decaying busts in a dirt lot than in the manicured park setting they were originally from.
Great photos .
Don’t bother because it’s Inaccessible. Even tried to see via the golf club next door.
It was private property
A sad story
They are bigger than I expected. Make sure you bring rain boots. It can be really muddy. Had a blast tho!
