Excellent dog park without wood chips, so dogs wont get sick from licking the rotten chips due to the dogs urines and diarrhea. Yet, it requires annual fee of $25. Maybe this was why we didnt see a lot of dogs inside the dog park. What a pity?! City has maintained the park well. It is a great space for dogs to run around.
This dog park requires membership and an entry code. Not good for visiting from out of town. Has a small and big dog area and some ramps.
Really small, no grass, gravel & dirt only. If this is the best the city of white plains is willing to carve out for all the dog lovers, they should be embarrassed by this excuse of a dog park. BIG disappointment.
I had a disgusting experience when I went to this dog park. As I had a consistent regimen bringing my dog to the dog park in White Plains, I had never encounter such negativity from the old crowd, but have heard rumors that they could be rude to one another, especially when one dog owner does not say, Hello. Today, I experienced similar issue where I was not aware that the city decided to add a keypad and that you needed a permit to bring your dog to the dog park. The citizens crowd had refused to tell me about the keypad (as they requested me to share the space with the small section) and that they wouldnt open the door for a whole seven minutes. Instead of letting me in which I ask numerous times, they told me how my dog was not fit for this dog park and that my dogs breed was scary for them and their dog. I was confused as to why they waited so long to tell me the real reason they wouldnt open the door, but then I thought that the old crowd only want one thing: to feel right and waste other peoples time. The luxury they have to waste other people time have been recognized that today. I initially thought it was a race thing until a black lady bluntly expressed her feeling about my dogs breed and what my husky is prone to do to other dogs. She did not appeared like a veterinarian to know about the breed itself so I was confused how and where she collected her data and statistic. After 7 minutes passed, one brave young adult stated that the park was for owners who paid their dues. I completely understood, but I would have wanted them to tell me this 7 minutes ago, especially when I called before going there and receive no information about new keypad. This new keypad have allowed the old crowd to be more disgusting with each other and to the younger demographic like myself. I can honestly say that I was bullied and discriminated against because of my dog and their lack of intelligence, this is a gateway for more separation from the community. I wouldnt want to spend $50.00 to hang around those type people. I really felt that my presence was not needed and I surely would not want my dog to be around people with time to argue with someone knowing that basic question could have been given to the individual who was brand new to the new system. What a waste of land.
This dog park consist of just dirt. I use to take my English Bulldog here when it was free. She would literally come back home covered in dust. The only reason I would take her was bc during the summer there would be so many dogs and she just loved it. Now that you have to pay I noticed there a lot less dogs. You have to pay a $25 fee (wp residents) or $50 non-resident fee to gain access. You must also show documentation of vaccinations and license tag. Honestly don’t believe its worth paying for this. The people who now usually go there are kinda snobby and rude and there’s really nothing facinating about this park.
Worst park ever. This place is nothing but a waste of time.
Dilapidated wasteland of a park. Its barely passable on a normal day, but now the city has installed a keypad and requires not only a yearly fee per dog, but that I show up to an office with a dog license to apply? Ludicrous, sleazy and reprehensible. Shame on whoever implemented this.
Have to pay fee to get into a gravel pit. No one comes here anymore because of it. Pathetic
Its cool
No shade and a wetland when it rains. Not worth it
Great
