Nice trail for walking can walk north or south along the Ohio River.

Very nice vacation break, we grabbed some pizza at DiCarlos and sat down on the wall and had lunch along the riverbank. Nice view of the suspension bridge, people enjoying the day, more than a few dogs wandering along walking their owners. A nice stop to take a break at.

This is a nice place for a walk. There is also a nice playground for younger kids. Watch out for the geese.

I enjoy the entire set up here, only improvement I would recommend would be building and maintaining a rest room even if its locked at night and having more accessible parking near the port for handicap

Wonderfull location great place downfall is whel river is high. Awesome lil festivals held thru spring, summer and fall. Able to dock boats for many festivals as well. Wednesday is waterfront Wednesdays.

Absolutely love going here to relax on a nice warm evening. The views are always amazing and its so serene here.

I have been staying near the herritage port while working in the area. I brought my dog with me (thinking I was only going to be working in the area for a week, but that quickly changed into 3 weeks. The Herritage Port is a nice walking/picnic/dog walking area in Wheeling WV. The dog happens to love the place and has a blast every evening when I walk him down there after work.

Tonight was the symphony and fireworks. The symphony is always a pleasure to hear. The fireworks were stunning.

This is a lovely spot along the river, although it was a bit run-down when we visited. The river trail connects here so you can enjoy a long walk, and theres a small playground nearby for the children.

Went to see the replicas of the Nina and Pinta, Christopher Columbuss ships. Really interesting to see. Would definitely recommend if history is your thing.

Quiet and clean place to take a few moments next to the Ohio river. Lots of open space for activities, picnicking and quite a few adirondack chairs to sit and relax.

Great place to relax, a bit pricey but well worth the extra cash, just didnt like all the wheeling homeless people bumming for drinks while i ate my meal, but the upgrade in food was great!!

This place seems to pretty much always have something going on. Id highly recommend checking out the Fourth of July fireworks celebration held here and also the Italian Festival. Even when there isnt an event going on here its still a beautiful place to check out. It has one of the best views of the suspension bridge around.

Italian Festival, lots of great food, beer, and vendors. Live music needs updating but its free so there is that. Well secured with police and fire patrols. If nothing else is taken from this review the following two words are the only ones that matter. Elephant Ears.

Great place for a Sunday stroll by the water. Peaceful and has a park for the kids to play. Hosts may events throughout the year.

It is a great place to hang out. They are almost always doing things there like the Italian Fest and the Debby Green 5K run and walk race.

They have good entertainment down there and different events through out the year.

A beautiful location along the historic Wheeling waterfront. Great acoustics during live music shows in both an amazingly comfortable and spacious location, all accompanied by a stunning view of the locally famous pre-civil war Wheeling Suspension Bridge.On days when special events arent being held, its a perfect place for a scenic bike ride or a casual stroll along the historic Wheeling waterfront ;all within walking distance of several downtown restaurants should the mood strike you.

Always a great stop on the bike trail. There are many festivals throughout the year

Would be a 5 if the bathroom was not so far away. In all fairness they did have a golf cart hauling you back and forth to it.

Amazing 4th of July celebration!

Great views of the Ohio River, Wheeling Island and the Suspension Bridge. There is a walking/biking path along the park. It has a childrens play area that is nice. They also provide Adirondack chairs along the waterfront that allows you to rest and take in the views.Two complaints:1. The back of the buildings need a face lift.2. There were several sketchy people hanging out at the amphitheater.

Great venue for events

Heritage port holds a special place in my heart. From water front Wednesdays to the Italian festival and spectacular firework displays, much of my childhood was spent walking along side the river

Attended the Gold Star Monument dedication at the Veterans Amphitheatre at Heritage Port, Wheeling. Nice crowd to see Woody Williams, West Virginias Medal of Honor winner from Iwo Jima during WWII.

We like this park very much! It has a beautiful setting and a very nice playground for children.

I love it here!! Its peaceful!! They also have events here as well!! Its a great place to go to and relax!!

The movie at the waterfront was 101 Dalmatians. It was a great night.

On Saturday, the beauty and serenity of this place, nestled above a beautiful section of the majestic Ohio river, was greatly enhanced by a wonderful festival called the Jagganath Chariot festival. It originates from ancient India, and it includes onstage performances of talented dancers, and the chanting of captivating spiritual songs called mantras. Great food, face-painting, and real spiritual energy. Im definately trying to make it next year, Festival of the Chariots.

We went here for the rib cook off. Nice park to take a walk by the water.

Ive been going here when it was just the amphitheatre. Its grand now! Great trails and a nice gym for the kids.

I work at the Heritage Port its a great place to watch movies on free movie night, and its a good place to listen to music on free music night. Come join us for music on Wednesdays and movie on Fridays.

Lovely place to just hang out before dinner.

Mountaineer Brewfest always a great time.

This is the second year in a row that I have taken my children to the Fourth of July event featuring the Wheeling Symphony and followed by fireworks on the river. They love it and we plan on going again next year. The Wheeling Symphony does the same show in my hometown on the 3rd of July but is a much better experience at Heritage Port.

It is beautiful by the river.Have various things going on.It is bad cause they need a toilet closer and they have cement to sit on;can take chairs.

Very nice place to take kids and family when the weather is fine. Not so much on a rainy day theres no shelter. Very good view of the Ohio river and the sunset.Went here for the Rib Fest I had a blast.

A beautiful place on any day and great when they have their big events which there are numerous throughout the year! Examples are the great food and entertainment during Italian fest, same during Jazz fest, and the Boat Races are a treat as well.
