Nice place to visit with kids if you are in the park. Exceptional place to go with a small child, if the weather is bad. They have a play room, a small library, a cool collection of artifacts (like bird nests and rocks). A hidden jem for sure.

Wonderful trails, they just need to expand them and finish connecting the yellow trail to the blue one to make a loop.

This center is truly a treasure for West Virginia and the Panhandle! There is always something interesting, inviting, and incredible happening. You can learn about everything from life cycles to the local environment. You are able to see actual nature right before your eyes through their beautiful windows that showcase bird and squirrel feeders. You can stroll on their wildlife platform that juts into the forest and use their provided binoculars to see for miles! They have arts, crafts, classes, shows, and a small store with handcrafted items to purchase which supports local artisans and the center. This is a must experience place for everyone!

Great educational displays with a nice bird watching facility. Many taxidermy examples of bird and mammal specimens. Great gift shop with a copious amount of educational literature.

We went to the Oglebay Zoo and then played mini-golf at the resort which is close to the Schrader Environmental museum. The grounds are beautiful!

We had our grandsons 4 th birthday party there and could not have been more pleased!All the children thoroughly enjoyed it! They put so much work and thought into making it a very special day for him!

Excellent place to take little ones on a cold or rainy day

We took the kids for a $5 scavenger hunt. We stayed for a while there is plenty to look at and learn about. The kids had fun and it a good way to learn abou t nature. The people inside where very good with the kids as well.

Free! Good for kids to explore. You can walk through the tree tops and catch some trails. Trails are not paved so dont take a stroller.

Love coming here to visit the butterfly garden. Great nature area with hikibg/walking trails and a nice little gift shop.

Nice place to take a break after hiking on the trails have a few reptiles to see

This place is a nice feature at Oglebay. A lot of hands on stuff and plenty of feeders to watch different birds come and go.

LOVE going there

They do not update this site. We drove to do pottery painting and they cancelled to further notice.
