Beautiful to walk through. All buildings, and thus bathrooms as well, however are currently closed. For good reason, but it does mean that if you plan a longer stay there is no bathroom access if it becomes needed until further notice.

This is a fantastic place to go to see a variety of water wise plants to plant in your yard. It also helps get your creative juices because they use the plants in a variety of ways to show you there are more then one way to use one plant. Im now (thanks to their idea) going to make a rock garden and different sedums and rock cress growing. And it all conserves water and its also pretty to look at.

Very cool spot to visit for all your landscaping ideas and especially when looking for plants that are great for the Utah weather. Make sure to take your kids with you, as they have a life-size chess board in the middle of the garden. We have had a lot of fun playing chess with friends and learning chess as a family on the very large interactive board. I need to also mention that its free!

Im shocked there are so few reviews for this place. Perhaps it is one of the best kept secrets in the Salt Lake valley! This park is amazing, free to the public, and quite informative. There are exhibits to educate people about how to save water in their houses and yards and labeled plants everywhere that are well suited for the Utah climate. They even have a large exhibit displaying different types of lawn grasses, where they keep track of how much water they put on each type of grass to keep it healthy. With all of the expensive entertainment options out there, its nice to know that there is a wonderful park thats both informative and free. Check online to find operational hours for the season and see it for yourself.

You can not, not love this place. They put on such an effort to make a difference in our community. By giving free lessons in gardening and techniques to establish better watering practices. They offer customized classes for the community and all you have to do is call or ask them. They need volunteers to help their site do projects so if you have a church group or group at work looking for a activity to volunteer for. I lead a human resources activity for my wellness activity and we all loved it, bring our families to enjoy the park, learn and get a take home project for the kids. The garden also offers different events for your groups and can do events from weddings, work events and Christmas parties too. If you wind up going try to go during different seasons. This is a great place to take seasonal photos and to take wedding photos too. It really is a hidden gem that you will find to be a small but surprising garden nice views of the valley from the West side of their building too. Dont forget to take the time to give them a review so that they get credit for all that they do.

We took our 3rd grade classes here for a field trip. Our tour was only an hour and a half, but it was enjoyable. There were a number of places for students to stop and sit in the shade. The booklets they handed out to students were engaging and fun for them. I would have liked to spend another hour there, but we had to get back to school in time for lunch. I highly recommend Conservation Garden Park for field trips or family trips.
