Pretty good dog park that has turf grass and always a good amount of puppers roaming around. Great location, usually finding free parking can be a challenge but there is a garage close by. Not always the cleanest

I live in West Hollywood so its 10 minutes to drive but its completely worth it. Parking is free for the first hour and second hour is free with validation. There is two dog parks in between the basketball courts; one for small dogs and one for big dogs. The parks are always clean, owners and dogs are friendly, stocked with poop bags and equipped with a clean water fountain!

The park is nice, but I am mainly reviewing the dog park, which is the BEST! When I see huge dog parks, I usually think that its going to be so great with so much room for the dogs to run around. Now I know a smaller park like this one is better - the dogs have no choice but to get caught up in the action. Our pup gets at least twice the play than any other dog park weve been to. I also didnt think astroturf would work, but people are really good a out picking up after their dogs, and its always clean. There are separate parks for big and small/shy dogs.

I felt like a king sitting on the bench at west Hollywood park. To the left of me a police station, my personal security. To the right of me people gathered with their dogs to socialize and entertain me. In front of me I watched a live soccer match between foreigners, and behind me a basketball course which no one played on, because the king cant see it anyway. Right besides me sat my trusty general and friend, and the queen.... Well the queens, they were everywhere.

This place is a perfect representation of where this city is headed and what keeps me living in west Hollywood. The swimming pool is charming and adequate and appeasing several demographics. It’s also host to the city’s only the Masters swim club barring their rather steep membership fees. The new basketball courts and dog parks are perfectly appointed. And the playgrounds are adequate for all ages of kids from babies on up to toddlers and kids not to mention the amazing Library and speaker events throughout the year and the upcoming Swimming aquatic center there’s going to be a world class. Don’t tell anyone about the secret tennis court.

They over water the grass to keep the homeless from sleeping there. Its kind of a weak tactic and the grass is soaked in the mornings so you cant even sit. Other than that its a great park. Ample parking, a nice dog park, and always pick up basketball games going on on the weekends.

I like this park because its clean and safe. I wish it was a bit bigger. I have a giant golden doodle puppy and he likes to run but cant go far before having to turn around. Also the parking is far from the dog park- its a bit of a hassle with the dogs and kids. My mom cant do the walk from the parking lot so Ive taken her in a wheel chair but that is even more difficult. I dropped my phone last time and it got run over by a car while I was pushing the chair holding 2 leashes and my purse and keys....

West Hollywood Park is what a city park should look like. The grounds are well maintained. We passed by some colorful and beautiful graphics, an Olympic swimming pool, basketball court, and parkland, before entering a well designed meeting hall.We attended a meeting in the West Hollywood Park Auditorium. The buildings interior is austere with simple thin dark red brick decortion.A large stage covers the West side of the room. The PA system is loud and clear, although on the night I attended the clean sound was mixed with sharp cracklings. In the East corner is a food service area. Snack and drink vending machines are located in the lobby. The entrance and facility are wheelchair (ADA compliant) accessible. The bathrooms are entered through the lobby.Parking, free for the first two hours, is ADA compliant. It is located just South of the auditorium.

It’s a small place with horrible rude people. There were two large dogs in the small dog park jumping on and around my small puppy, when I asked the owner nicely to watch their dogs (very nicely!), these two Russian ladies started insulting me and teaching me life and saying nasty things. It’a not the first time in this park. People don’t come there to play with their dogs, they come there to talk and find a conflict. Horrible place! The administration of the park, the security and the lady, who answered the phone (phone number is provided below the rules and the note SMALL DOGS ONLY on the fence), they all said “it’s a self enforced park, go figure it out yourself”! Are we in a third world country?! Never come back

*PARENTS - READ THIS NOW*Breaks my heart to give this park a negative review, we actually LOVE this place, but some things can not be excused. Unfortunately, this is one of them... Yesterday, while playing in the gated, childrens play section of the park, my infant son held and almost put into his mouth a used, completely full & bloodied condom. You read that right... I am still having PTSD from it. He found it in the wood chips on the ground near the swings. ZERO excuse for this sh*t!! Yes, we realize the pride parade had a massive gathering here days earlier. YES, we realize things happen, but NEVER, ever can it happen in an infant only play zone. Who behaves like this?? How can this possibly happen in 2019?? *Not pointing fingers or jumping to conclusions on genders here, really doesnt even matter. We had / have such high expectations for this park but now have to re-evaluate ever stepping foot back in there... It was one thing to deal with the throngs of homeless, (and the one time we watched a guy take a _____ in broad daylight, and as former NYers wed thought wed seen it all until this happened yesterday. SHAME on you WeHo Park, get it together, fast!! We all deserve better...

Pool is nicely maintained. Staff are very welcoming. Mens changing room and showers are basic. No lockers. Bring necessities like soap and tote bag. Lap swim is well organized and relaxing. Temp is very warm if youre accustomed to 74° competition indoor pools. I give 4/5 stars because during backstroke while sharing lane 1 I seriously skinned my knuckles against the concrete perimeter. Sharing should be strongly discourage in the end lanes because the old concrete deck lip design is rough. Otherwise, I love this pool for lap swim.Update: adding a lane divider along the long edges of the pool would allow for safe lane sharing during lap swim.. Hope this helps.
