Came here to see Samuel Larsen perfom literally the week before the Sars cov2 shutdown and it was nice. The place is set up almost old school 30’s feel in a sense with the lighting and woodwork, had an old fashioned that was good.

Having seen a few acquaintances of mine perform at Peppermint Club a few times, I can say that I enjoy it more often than not. The venue definitely has a chic decor and a sultry vibe that fits well with its location between WeHo and Beverly Hills. The staff tends to be cordial and professional, and the bar seems regularly stocked. The type of musical performers that take the stage include both seasoned and up-and-coming singer-songwriters/musicians outside of mainstream music. If Im not mistaken, the space is also used for filming music videos and other media. I would recommend Peppermint Club for a night out with friends and/or for music lovers.

My experience has been much better than these recent 1 star reviews. Ive been here about 3 times in the last month to see friends bands play. It is nice venue to see music. The wood work on the walls is amazing and does the acoustics of the club better than other music rooms. The crowd does seem a bit full of themselves but it is Beverly Hills.

This terrible place is very rude to the artist. They manage their schedule without any consideration of the artists agenda or the audience. Just a couple of hours before the show, and with tickets already sold, they canceled it. The most unprofessional place ever. Look for a better place, a professional club, if you are seeking a place to present your music. Dont spoiled your resume with this amateur club.

Dropped in with friends on a Friday evening to see The Puscie Jones Revue and wasnt disappointed. This place is a little pricey- $15 on the door and drinks anywhere between $10 and $16 depending on what youre ordering, but the staff are lovely, the sound is great and you will have a lot of fun. Not a bad spot at all! Has a very Old School Hollywood Glam feel.

Nice decor overall, but venue is small. I went for an exclusive birthday party and had a good time due to the company and live music, but it was cramped and we decided to leave early. I would go back, but I prefer other bars/clubs in that area.

By far the most discriminating club/bar I’ve been to. Staff is very very rude, try another bar before you come here. The service is terrible and the security and bouncers are a disservice to this club, very upsetting to see.

Bought a table for the latin event Al tun tun on Saturday night. Our group had 1 extra person past the tables group limit. We talked to 3 different people at the door, offered to pay something reasonable for this extra person but they would not let the person in unless we bought one more table, very unreasonable, the place wasnt even full.

Worse experience Ive had in a LA club. Easier to get in to Avenue than to past that snobby security guy.....Such a bad staff its a shame . Since you charge for a glass of soda (from the fountain?!) At least be more than a pretty room.First time so i didnt know we need to buy a ticket.... although!!! ---I HAD A BIG TABLE INSIDE !!!All my friends were there waiting for me.... but i was busy fighting with outside guy.Worst place in la. Will not recommend. Better pay more at Sayers and get better service.

Great New spot! Much smaller than Guys & Dolls or Henrys but new setup gives it a more exclusive feel [without the huge expense of such places]. Staff were all friendly and professional despite being a busy Saturday night. Band that came up [who the heck were they? Reminded me of Vampire Weekend] that day played good indie music!

Convinced 7 friends to come out on Saturday to see Capyac. It was all our first time at TPC. We couldn’t have had a better time! Bouncers the front were really nice, getting in was easy, hostess was great, space was small but it was perfectly sized, bar is right in the middle so it’s easy to grab a drink. Vibe was great. If you’re a fan of other hwood group venues like The Nice Guy and Delilah then you’ll love this place. Will definitely come back here.

Friend and I were informed of a free show via the performer herself on her Instagram. Free show, no RSVP required, was told to just show up. When we arrived we were told by the guy at the door that it was invitation only. I even showed him the performers Instagram and he didnt care and turned us away. Horrible.

Cozy, dark lounge space to catch live music acts at. Be prepared to stand. Not a bad view in the house and theres an efficient bar in the round for drinks during the performance.

I went to support my friend who was perfoming and the show was great .The clubs atmosphere was nice but our female server sucked really bad. They sent the wrong drink and wouldnt remove the charge. The bar tender was very rude and really tried very hard to make me think I ordered the wrong drink. We were at a table with a $100 min. So its not like we couldnt afford the drink but its the principal and the manager sided with the bartender. We got better service from the bathroom attendant. The club experience could be awesome if they were to hire bar people with better customer service skills.

This place is a joke. My girlfriends and I were there because our friend put us on the list since his band was playing that night. We waited very long to get in because people kept cutting in front of us. The bouncer kept yelling at people to stand in one single file but no one listened because he was hostile and took no action to actually sort out the chaos. When we got to the guy with the list, he let the three of us in. On our way in, my friend saw another friend and said hi to him. The bouncer yelled at us to get in and stop talking. Then, once the three of us finally got inside, he slammed the door in my face. I was shocked because I have never been treated this poorly ANYWHERE! I also dont know what we did to deserve his attitude. So, I turned to my friends in disbelief. Then, the bouncer continued to yell at us from outside which was the other side of the door. He said youre in or youre out. My friend calmly pushed the door open to tell him sir, we are in. Please stop yelling. Suddenly, he screamed at her and told another security guy to throw us out. They proceeded to kick us out and made a huge scene in front of the waiting crowd. The other bouncer said thats it. You annoyed him. You have to leave. We told him that we are actually VIPs and also did not do anything to be treated this way. The second bouncer told us to come back at 11:30 when the other guy leaves and hed let us in.To recap, we, three women, got yelled at, a door slammed in our faces, embarrassed by the chaos created by the bouncer and lastly, we got thrown out for doing nothing wrong than to defend ourselves when we were verbally harassed and told to shut up.This is a serious matter. We do not deserve to be treated this way. We are your patrons. We are not children to be managed and manhandled. You should be ashamed of yourself as a business. Ill make sure that everyone knows this.

This place was a joke. Paid 10 bucks to see a band and they cut them off only halfway through their set and the security guards started dismantling the VIP area we were standing in, pushing us out of the way so they could “get the dance floor ready”How’re you going to disrespect the headlining act like that? TRASH. Never again.

This rating is for the bouncers. Ive only been once- On New Years - they were so sweet and caring (one in particular who helped me when I fell) they stayed with my friend and I until our ride got there even though we were the very last girls and our ride was extremely late. Thank you ! As for the venue, it was a fun night, open bar, generous amounts of alcohol in the drinks. The crowd was mixed with high and low quality people.. Same creepy guy grabbing me problem here just like every other club but it was a good night overall. I asked this guy how he decided on this place for New Years and he said because it was the best deal. And thats the vibe I got from most people.

Review №33

This is specifically a review for artists performing at Peppermint, as Ive seen several shows there, whose acts all fell into similar sandtraps...First, though the Peppermint Club is a smaller venue, it is not intimate. The bar in the center of the audience means that people are tempted to talk if you give any break in your energy. Avoid acoustic sets of witty banter between songs, if you can help it.Second, the stage lights cover a narrow portion of the front of the performance area. Make the staff turn them on during soundcheck, so you can get familiar with your light. Ive seen act after act go up and lose their audience, because they wondered out of the light for a keyboard solo on stage right. The lights will not follow you! Stay front and center. (Or rent additional LED bar-lights for your sides.)Third, the venue likes to double, triple, or even quadruple book the acts for the evening. Do not run over time, or they will cut you off. Ive seen it. Come correct, hit your time, and leave the audience wanting more. Finally, they open with a slow (~10 sec) curtain, so in order to avoid an awkward beginning, have some type of ambient intro/entrance prepared. Itll make all the difference. All that said, the Peppermint Club is a beautiful venue, and you should definitely play it! Hope this helps.
