It was a nice atmosphere and the food was good. My wifes steak was a little underdone and they gave another one within minutes. My spinach wrap was very good with the homemade sauce. French toast was very good. Really attentive staff and manager, Alejandro. Good breakfast place

Great place to drink with rock & roll stars

Charming place with character. Great to hang on a Friday night. We enjoyed all the food we ordered and our server Jen was quite warm and attentive. We have another place to go after this, but this should be a great place to just chill and have drinks after work. They have an extensive bar.

Great place to hang out and chill I usually get the green gecko but I wish they used more premium cbd like nektercbd the watermelon tincture would be so fire in this.

As usual, food was amazing! They have a new menu that is way more chic and easier to navigate. Also, its not on the menu but we tried the tempura fried green tea ice cream...OMG! FREAKIN AWESOME! Cant wait to go back!

Honestly as someone who was born and raised in Los Angeles, I expected more from the marquis. LONG GONE are the days of wild rock stars hanging out along with it the area of knowledgeable bartenders on the marquis itself. If anyone was coming to the bar to.grab a drink and learn a little more about rock and roll history (as the marquis has had a great acclaim too) this is NOT the bar to do it at. The bartenders are limited in their knowledge and uninterested in serving their customers. Granted we are not by any means famous but that shouldnt diminish from the service regular patrons receive. I give it 3 stars because the drinks were good but NOT anywhere worth the amount we paid for them.

For such a tiny bar, Bar1200, or the Sunset Marquis Bar, as its titled here, certainly has a big reputation. Its the famous Sunset Marquis Hotels bar ( guess I already wrote that) a hotel famous for providing accomodations for many, famous, music industry artists. You cant help but notice the plethora of photos of rock stars hung on the walls, and, at first, they might look like stock photos; give them another look: all of them are signed! Personally, I didnt see any stars exceptfor the guys hosting the party. Well, not exactly, I was invited to be therefor a couple death metal bands record release party. No one on the Billboard top ten, but still something to write home about. Not sure if the party had been coordinated with the hotels blessing, though.As for the bar itself, its small, as described earlier, clean, and relativelycomfortable. Once our party had gotten in full swing, there wasnt much room, except standing, left. I guess it could happen anywhere, depending on the size of the gathering, and in our case the body pressure was alleviated slightly when some one noticed the outside, attached veranda. Eventually, the crowd thinned out enough for some of my photos.Drinks seemed to be very pricey, and fortunately for me, some of the guys paid my way.Overall: a small, intimate place, expensive, with a lot of, well, I guessstar appeal is the phrase for it.
