Good intermediate hike. Short, but fairly steep, with lots of switchbacks. Mixed trail scenery between flower fields and thick forest. Not much for views along the way, but the lakes were a great site. Marion lake is worth the short hike for easier and access to water for dogs or put your feet in. Remember - when you come to the T in the trail (near the top), go left to reach the lakes.
The short, but steep trail leads you to two little and scenic lakes. This is actually Squilchuck Tr 1200 which takes you over the top near Devils Gulch TH. You vere off of it where it flattens out. Clara is easy to find. Marion takes some guess work. No matter, the area is a fantasy land to explore. Go in fall colors for an impressionistic delight.
Beautiful beyond words!
Beautiful absolutely gorgeous hike to breathtaking views of mountain range accompanies Crystal clear water, truly amazing.
I was actually on the pipeline trail. But took a little hike up the trail to the lake, but I had my 4 year old with me and I forgot the bug spray. The bugs are real bad so dont forget that. The hike to the lake is quite steep for a 4 year old as well. But she loves the pipeline trail. I will be going up the rest of the way without kids next time. Very nice and green. Lots of scenery. Love it. I just wish the bike race wasnt going on the same day I went. But we enjoyed it
Personally speaking, it doesnt worth driving more than 2 hours. The trail itself is not that beautiful, not even to say the lake is died water. The trail takes us 2 hours.
Couldnt find it...
