Pleasant trail for hiking and biking. A gradual incline at the beginning. Also a perfect location for spring wildflower experience.

Really nice trail, I enjoyed driving the car up the mountain to the top and just had a wander. It’s so peaceful and beautiful up there. Highly recommend!Pictures for viewing.

A gorgeous day, flowers in full bloom, road up to the trailhead has been graded and easy to travel. Go if you get a chance, it is worth it

The actual road was closed to get to the trailhead so we hiked up to the trailhead. Nice views. Need to go back in the summer though.

Horse Lake Preserve offers a wonderland of hiking and biking in the transition zone from steppe to forest. From the very nice trailhead, one can take in a quick, but great viewpoint that looks over the entire Wenatchee Valley and the mountains beyond. Or you can take some serpentine trails up the slopes. Or take a more direct ascent on the gated ranch road. My favorite trail is called Glacier View. See the sweep from the Enchantments to Glacier Peak. Continue all the way up Horse Lake Mtn if you wish.

Rough road getting up here but worth the effort. Great trail network and amazing views.

I ran up the trails to the top where there are roads that can take you down fairview canyon, or over to #2 canyon. Beautiful up there. Saw about 20 deer.

Beautiful location a bit off the beaten path and a great place to start a hike. Even from right near the trailhead, the views are stunning. A parking lot, brochure/sign station, and basic toilet are also available.

Start figuring out your mountains and the feel of a tail on the edge of cliff...after you make it to the top there is tons of access to a variety of trails.

Fun easy hike close to town. The old homesite is really interesting and the views are pretty! This trail is good for any levels!

Wildflowers light up hillsides with color. Great time of year to enjoy the foothill trails.

Beautiful view! You can see 3 of the local historic barns from the overlook. There is a bathroom available. There is a trail that is easy to walk and trails for bikes, horses and pets on leash. They will close it for the winter starting November 1st.

Great fast spring ride before the dusty season. Trails are smooth except for some eroded switchbacks that could use some drainage design.

Beware of road conditions--unpaved 3 mile road to the trailhead can be treacherous after any amount of rain in less than a 4 wheel drive. beautiful scenery and plenty of trail.
