Ohme Gardens was relaxing and beautiful. It was also a great place for the kiddos to run around and play. Awesome picture opportunities too. We spent a few hours there and had lunch. $8 for adults and $4 for kids. Found all of the gnomes and got entered into a drawing.

This sylvan treasure is located on a high point above the Columbia River, with sweeping views of the river, Wenatchee and surrounding communities. Stone paths meander through rugged stone outcroppings in airy semi arid fir forest. Landscaped pools and waterfalls abound. This is a county park; admission is charged. I paid 8 bucks. Hiking poles are provided. Its billy goat country, plan for a bit of climbing. To truly appreciate the place, plan to spend a half day. Its about a 15 minute cruise from Wenatchee city center. Available for weddings and gatherings, it has somewhat primitive but beautiful banquet facilities. It looks like turf under high traffic areas for gatherings are re-sodded as needed.

Lovely, historic, naturalistic, peaceful. Makes for a fun few hours of hiking and photography. Reminiscent of Butchart Gardens, but more enjoyable and without the hoopla and pretension.

Very nice gardens. I would rate certain parts moderate and some parts difficult. It us on a rather steep hill with great vistas. We saw all kings of wild flowers, some butterflies and a humming bird. A real delight. $8 admission fee adults and they will lend you walking poles if you prefer.

This place was truly amazing. The rock work is spectacular. The views are incredible. The history very interesting. A beautiful park like setting. A place where you can sit and relax. Or calmly walk around looking at the hard work Mr.& Mrs. Ohme did starting back in 1929. Again the place was truly a.azing and well worth the stop.

I liked the park as one of tourist attractions in Weenatchee. The view was great from view points. All the view points have to be covered through stairs. Difficult for people who cannot climb stairs. Also strollers cannot go on stairs. Have to be really careful while climbing in rocky stairs. All in all my family enjoyed.

Review №41

Parts of it are very pretty but much of the view is of an industrial park, highway and river. I found the map to be inadequate. I attempted to travel along every trail but couldnt find many of them and kept ending up in the same place. There were very few markings, arrows or designations as to where you were or where you were going.

My boyfriend and I had a conference to attend in wenatchee but still had quite a bit of time to spare. So we toured the gardens and it was spactacular. I loved the steeper trails and my boyfriend even came up with a game called Extreme Lounging where the goal was to find all of the sitting areas in the garden and lounge there to enjoy the view. I really felt like a kid again and will definately be going back! Also we found your knome!

Great way to spend a couple hours. Very peaceful. Lots of great foliage to view. Great photo ops. Went by myself and had a wonderful time exploring. I highly recommend. Make sure to get a map from the entrance attendant. It helps to know where you are at in the park. Also, the map identifies where the more difficult trails are. They also have hiking poles to use free of charge.

Review №69

A little overpriced, but pretty and a nice, peaceful place to go. We happened upon it on the way to somewhere else, and, needing a rest stop, decided to see it. Its hidden on the edge of a neighborhood and an industrial area. I assume the Ohme family originally had a much better view of the valley when they built the garden. Overall, a worthy place to stop, stretch your legs, and see some pretty flowers and trees.

This place is a dream, and worth the price of admission. So much to see and do. The granite stones set as the stairs and pathway are the best I have ever hiked. Just when you think that was all you could see you come upon a granite picnic tables and benches. Bring your real camera.

It is such a beautiful place. It is family friendly but try bringing children aged 6 and up. There is a gift shop but it is very tiny. The gift shop is located behind the register.
