Room seem clean nice flat screen TV but it was actually very comfortable but wish they had a couple more pillows, beds weren’t to bad, some springs but not bad sleep. Decore is out of date but with a lot of rooms I can see why I take a long time to update all of them. Maintenance staff is very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of the property in the Internet connection definitely recommend anybody on a budget to stay here small room but worth the stay. One thing I wish is even though if you’re on the second and first floor and even though it might be quiet as to why I’m here in October, I think they should have better locks on the door. But for an old-school hotel I can give it 3 stars. But sure is worth a four or five in the summer with full staff.

Stayed here for a week. The set up is nice, can use the kitchen area with stove and microwave. Also picnic area with working grills. Pool was very cloudy during our stay. The rooms are outdated and there are not enough electrical outlets!!

Stayed at the Majestic Regency for 2 nights. If you want a cheap room with no luxuries, its for you.The decor is in need of a renovation. The walls need painting. The bedspreads are from 1970s. Unfortunately due to the pandemic the continental breakfast was prepackaged items. Its an ok place but not majestic.

The room I rented was dated but adequate for the price. TV was small and hard to hear. (Of course, I have lost a good portion of my hearing from years of selective hearing, lol). Bed was comfortable and blankets warm. Running the water for the bathtub and shower was obscenely loud to the point of affecting other quests. There was a significant amount of mold on the bathroom ceiling, which could pose a serious health problem for those highly allergic to it.

The bed had dirty sheets. There were blood stains on the sheet and the pillow cases smelled bad. You could tell someone had slept in the bed without changing the sheets. When we called the front desk for clean sheets, my husband had to go get what they had available in the office, which was a queen size set, our room had a king sized bed, we did not have a comfortable rest at all, and could not get the correct size sheets until housekeeping came in in the morning. Housekeeping did come change the sheets and blankets the next day, but when we spoke with the manager, all he said was sorry, and I can’t give you a refund because you paid online, I hadn’t asked for a refund. He did not appear to know how to handle a complaint. Very disappointing stay.

The place is pretty run down but relatively clean. Fresh paint got on our clothes in the common areas. Musty, urine smell from AC. Terrible mattress and pillows. The office kept trying to bill me each day even though I prepaid. Great central location between wells and ogunquit with plenty of parking. Breakfast is terrible- just stay away. Good sized room and outside deck was appreciated.

I have stayed here at least 5 different times over past few years and have Always been very happy with everything. Price is always the Best! but close to everything and very accommodating in every way:-)

Bedding very uncomfortable feel ever spring in the beds... We got two different rooms and both rooms had the same beds. Walls are thin we could hear snoring from the room next door. Same with the showers and toilets flushing. The customer service was great and the pool was well kept. Also close to walking amenities.

Rooms very small. Stains on the bedding. Mold in bathroom ceiling. Door sticks have to push hard to open. Phone does not work. The fitness center is off site. Tears in the floor carpeting. Bathroom is small. Toilet is small and low to the floor. Ice is available but only during office hours. Which they close earlier then the sign on the door.

Stayed a few years ago in a different room and it was great must have been an updated room. We stayed in the 2 bedroom it was very old outdated. Stains on carpet musty smell. The sheets were clean, but under the beds looked like they havent been cleaned in months. The couches were very old cloth and looked like they were not cleaned. Made me feel uneasy. They let us switch rooms, so the other 2 we looked at were in worse condition than that. The pool was heated and very clean though. The rooms Definitely are due for some updates.

They did not have our reservation, they were horribly rude and it was very smelly and dirty. We did not stay the night. We would like a refund if possible, it was an awful experience.

Rooms need a total overhaul. Rooms very musty, carpeting stained, bathrooms old, had to complain about no hot water. Cracks in the walls. Outside seating dirty. Sad, this place is so run down, it could be nice if they put money into it. By the way it looks it would take many $$$$$$$$$$$.Booked 2 nights, left after the first, couldnt take the smell in the room.Had to give it 1 star because it wouldnt let me continue!

The room was dirty. The bathroom had cobwebs, spiders, cracked tub, rusted mirror and hair on the walls and floor. The beds were old, at least 15-20 years old and incredibly uncomfortable. My fiance and I could hard sleep or move after a night there. There was a broken down vehicle at the base of our stairway to walk up to our room and everything was half painted and just looked awful. Really really disappointed.

The room was disgusting, smelled musty, stains all over the carpet, beds very uncomfortable, and the sheets had blood on them! Things were stolen from our room! Housekeeping didnt leave supplies. Only half of the BBQ grills worked. Continental breakfast was a joke! Sour milk,old apples,boxed donuts, and cereal.. The area in which it was offered was as discusting and smelly as the room!Overall a VERY BAD experience! We will never stay here again!

Majestic Regency is a wonderful motel for those looking for dog friendly, low cost accommodations... They do a fabulous job. Very friendly & helpful staff. Simple, but delicious (and free!) continental breakfast options. This is my second time using Majestic Regency & I look forward to more stays in the future! Thank you!

The place stank of mildew so badly, to the point that i was coughing all night and all day after. Tried calling the management 3 times, no one picked it up. When i finally found someone to talk to from the reception, he insisted that the mildew disgustiness was “industrial cleaner” scent and that he sees no problem with the room. Please. The stench lingered on me and my clothes even after i came home.

People at front desk were rude, room was not ready at check in time, room was nasty, no towels in room, nothing to cook with on the kitchette

Price keeps going up every year. Very poor service. No one answers the phone in the office. We walked into our room to see a young man with no identification standing there. He said he was an on-call employee, and that 3 maids quit and he was there to see if we needed anything. He returned with coffee and towels. We will never return to this motel.

WELL THE ROOMS LOOK LIKE 1970, BUT THEYRE BIG, EVERYTHING WORKED, IT WAS QUIET, I GOT THE LAST ROOM ON A FRIDAY NIGHT IN AUGUST AT ALMOST 10PM SO A DUMPSTER WOULD HAVE WORKED. But this place was a pleasant surprise, it was clean enough, comfortable and I slept like a rock. Donuts and bagels arent breakfast...really my only complaint. And they could have gouged me on the room rate but it was OK too. Id recommend this place.

No frills. Just a decent place to sleep. Theres an outdoor pool, tennis court and BBQ grills. Complimentary breakfast included in the price of the room. Every room has a refrigerator, cable TV, bathroom with shower stall. Dont expect a luxury mattress and fancy bedding. Well worth the price at 45.00 a night.

This motel was one of the few in the area with reasonable prices!!! The rooms are large. Although the rooms show some signs of wear associated with an older motel but we found them to be very clean and supplied with all the usual necessary items. They also had a nice breakfast. Bottom line: We would stay here again and we recommend it.

The staff was very nice! Hard to complain about free breakfast...but there was no food offered other than bread type breakfast (no fruit, etc.) The pool was very nice and chairs were comfortable. BE AWARE...the first room we were given (#85) had somebody else inside it that had their bags and beer cans everywhere (they must have broken into the room because the lock can easily be picked with a credit card) This sounds like a simple mix it, but trust me when I say it was not. I told staff to call police but dont know if they ever did.They promptly gave us a new room on a different floor from the horrible #85, so that was nice of them. The trolley service is very nice as well.

This place reminded me of a place stayed at as a child. So that was a good memory. Its clean and they try to make your stay pleasurable. Would be great for a family with children.

Decent room. Awesome water pressure. Hood location with killer donuts and fritters in the free breakfast. Pool, tennis court. Easy in and out. Works for me!

They had sprayed so much air and fabric freshener that the minute we walked through the door we both said in unison. We are Not staying here over night ️ The overwhelming smell from the fresheners still couldnt hide the mold and old stale dirt. Everything about the room and bathroom was horrible. The staff on booking in were very nice but having checked out after an hour we were not even offered a discount So we left the wedding early and drove the 3 hours back home instead. Very disappointed ️

For 150$ a night I should not have to get up in the middle of the night to go get medicine for a migraine because of the horrible chemical smell in the room and the pillows that smell like they have been soaked in bleach.. Will not stay again

**This Rating is Based On Landscaping**Landscaping was using gas powered equipment from 7:00 am and on, near windows and doors. Woke up on vacation to gas powered weeder and could not return to sleep. It’s failed management to have any landscaping done in early hours on the weekend, never mind one that involves a three day Holiday weekend. Guests do not go on vacation to get wakened up by landscaping that is non stop noise. I have used this location for a few years, but this and a broken lamp in my room may deter me to go elsewhere.Location: Great location, easy to find. Very easily accessible.Service: Service is mostly young adults or college age. Friendly.Accommodations: Main room is typical size. Bathrooms are slightly smaller over all, but plenty of room to operate. Heating and cooling is a bit older system.Cleanliness: Rooms are clean, but may have wear (or a stain occasionally). Smell is a positive strong smell, although a different product may be needed of higher quality as it smells cheap.Price to Value: this location has a very high value. You get more than what you pay for (unless awoken by landscaping). Other areas are 1.5x more or 2x. If you are looking for value, and dont mind getting woken up early by noise, this is the right call.

Disappointing maids & staffThis was our second time at the motel. Safe to say….we got lucky the first time with a rather pleasant stay. This time around…..the room was not as well kept with maids doing a VERY shabby job cleaning rooms. Breakfast staff is nice and people maintaining outside facility do a good job. Expect no extra service….as they are very limited in any service they will offer. Left our two tablet chargers plugged in wall….called later in the day to claim them after check out….and were told to call back the next day because they could not check with cleaning staff that did the room ?????? I called back early AM the next day,….and they told me they would call me back with information….they never called so I did later in the afternoon. We then discover they were nowhere to be found but that no one actually ever spoke to cleaning staff about this. Two things wrong here….they never bothered to see if the chargers were still in the wall in our room when they could have easily found them and the people checking the next day kept them…or the maids kept them. Nice staff! For roughly the same price.....you can do way better by staying at other places in Wells & Ogunquit that are better kept and much nicer. Take the time to compare....you will be happy you did.

So bad we left.. Been staying here for 15 years never a problem. This year the place is the worst. Make reservations and they can not find them. Check in is at 2pm but room was not ready until 4pm. No AC or TV in either bedroom. Rooms were hot and I asked about fans but they claim the 1 AC will cool off 3 rooms. Fridge as well as ;living room TV, and AC did not work right. Sofa looked like it crawled out of a dumpster, it was so dirty. (I like old looking rather than modern but I want CLEAN). Tub was so dirty I used it with my shoes on. Cobwebs all over the place. You can tell stuff was moved as half the rug is old and faded looking and the other ok looking. Girl on desk took a fit and screamed and swore and yelled because I would not sign authorizing then to recharge my credit card after I get refund and was speaking to an other unhappy customer. When I asked the owner if this is how he lets his staff treat his customers his answer was you got your refund go some place else. A loyal customer for 15 years and he could care less. No wonder the place is going down hill.

Not the Ritz but staff is great and place is pretty clean. Not great for long term stay, however, especially with kids ... there is no microwave, or oven in a two bedroom unit, although it is advertised as having a full kitchen. This was disappointing.

The room its nice and clean, the bed was great. I slept awesome and the check-in was super easy. They allowed me to keep my two cats with me for an extra $15 per pet. We even asked that they just come in and vacuum and they did so. Im super pleased with my stay here.

My family and I would stay here when visiting Maine this time was disappointing it was not very clean when we arrived. My grandson went to take a bath and found that the water couldnt be adjusted but the maintenance man did come and fix it the place needs to be updated and just painted would make more appealing are grandchildren were with us one night we decided we are going to use the fire pit to do smores so my grandson thought it would be ok to go out back of the building and pick up some sticks like we would at home maintenance man said he was trying to pull out trees and really upset my grandson so I felt it wasnt his responsibility to correct him it would be ours but he wouldnt let anybody get a word in edgewise we said we take care of it he said no this is a free one He also said if you want a fire go buy wood and you better make sure its out by 11:00 I just felt things could of been handled differently hopefully they will do a little bit of an upgrade and make sure the place is cleaned so its more appealing and talk to the maintenance man about how to interact with their customers

The rooms were clean, the management was helpful and my pup and I enjoyed our stay. The cleaning lady, Vernice, was thorough and did a great job. I would have given this hotel 5 Stars if my room was not on the second floor. My dog crate is exceptionally heavy, and getting it up and down was not an easy feat. that being said, I will definitely stay here again next year, and request a bottom floor when I booked.

Very very dated. Booked unit with small kitchenette. Neither burner worked., No plugs in bathroom and no hair dryer. Beds were not comfortable and the price was $200 per night which was not reasonable for something that hasnt had any updating at all in our daughters room the couch was very uncomfortable continental breakfast consisted of donuts and bagels. No fruit no accommodations for those who must be gluten free

Least expensive hotel for my travel date in the area. Convenient to Ogunquit and Wells, with a trolley shuttle to each. Parking lot and grounds are clean and serene. Front desk staff were very friendly and accomodating. Julie was very nice. Only negative was the room itself. My room on the ground floor was musty and dank - didnt feel clean. Carpet was dirty and window screen damaged. A friend stayed in a King room on the 2nd floor that was much brighter and cleaner.

My husband and I travel for business all the time, and have stayed at many hotels / motels. We stayed at the Majestic Regency for my sisters wedding & we were very happy with our stay. The staff was super friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great water pressure and more than enough hot water. The breakfast was just right. We would definitely stay here again.

Beds were rock hard. Our room was outdated. Credit card was billed incorrectly and there were issues with light switches and outlets. Would not recommend staying here for the price.

Staff was very accommodating. The rooms were very clean & spacious. The room had a flat screen tv, a computer desk along with comfortable desk chair. Carpets in the room were spotless not even a stain or rip. The room I stayed in had a very nice refrigerator, and a working a/c. My kids loved it and my wife was very pleased. We will comeback anytime.

The room was not pretty, but the facility was decent (pool, tennis court), the location is great, and the price is right. It is also a trolley stop so you can ride north or south for $1 per trip.

While there were 2 bedrooms, only the living room had an air conditioner. It was very noisy and although it was running, the room felt muggy and everything felt wet. The bathroom was so small you could barely fit in it and fixtures were old. The refrigerator did not get cold. Not worth the money.

Its decent, but no iron, no hair dryer, no top or plastic bag in ice bucket. Definitely over priced. But they do have a shuttle to take you to the beaches for a minimal amount. Probably would not stay here again. Stingy on the towels also.

I see a lot of inaccurate complaints on here. Ive been here on work for over a month now. The staff the housekeeping the front desk the rooms the pool the breakfast all great especially for the price. I was expecting to get what I pay for. The updated rooms are exceptional. This place has exceeded my expectations for sure. Just some fyi for future stayers..i traveled with my husband and cat.we stayed in multiple rooms. And staff was extremely accommodating. Thank you.

Nice place, good homey atmosphere, but the owners daughter complained about the dog in a pet friendly hotel. My yellow lab was laying in a walkway and barked, like most dogs do, and as she walked by she said people shouldnt be afraid to walk down the walkway. The dog was leashed, controlled, and is very friendly. Just very loud sometimes. Dont say you are pet friendly if you are going to be afarid of a leashed dog controlled by his owners. Other than that perfect.

Nice place with fun activities, rooms need updating. Using older AC units (smell). Older mattress (soft and yuck). Older kitchen appliances. Fire pit needs some TLC, drain holes for rain or maybe a cover. No wood. Supply your own.Half of the pool umbrellas didnt work. Just needed a cord to raise. The pool is big, clean and heated. There is a metal edge sticking out to cut you as you swim or climb out. Be careful. It is a nice place.

Location is great, amenities are many and family oriented. Being a trolley stop travel for the visitor whom dont drive is easy. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable and the grounds kept clean. The decor of the dining room reflects the theme of the community and the breakfast served daily give an array of hot and cold beverages, donuts, bagels, bread and toppings.

The hotel is clean. The staff is friendly. The resort is great for kids as there is a tennis court, basketball court and obviously an outdoor pool. The continental breakfast could use some protein variants as there arent any. Various shuttles also take you around Wells and to different beaches.

Weve stayed here on a number of occasions over the years. Its a great place if youre on a budget and dont need luxury. They offer a free continental breakfast every morning. They have nice grills with adjacent picnic tables to eat on. Great way to enjoy a cookout with your kids. Nice swimming pool. The staff is friendly. Its a homey place, not stuffy. Overall, its a good value for the money.

Horrible beds! My husband said he felt like he was sleeping on a waterbed it was so bouncy and bumpy! Neither of us slept much! The room had a bad musty smell to it. The room and breakfast room need updated badly. The hotel is rated a 2.5 star by Hotwire but its a 2 at the absolute best. It was very reasonable but if you cant sleep whats the purpose?? Staff was friendly but asked for manager and he wasnt available. Asked for a call from him but as of yet no luck. We are spending another night in town but NOT at this hotel. I would like to get some sleep tonight!

We have been been coming for 4 years. Always comfortable. Poor is hidden from street nicely. Lots of tables and chairs. Theres grills and picnic tables. Lots of games, tennis, horseshoes. Movie nights for kids. Friendly staff. Rooms are always clean. Will def come next year!

The rooms were typical. A couple of beds, a tv, bathroom, a desk and chairs. No frills, but we arent looking for that. Our dog was welcomed which is a major reason we chose Majestic Regency. Pool was warm and clean and the deck chairs were comfortable. We didnt use them but the grills and picnic area were clean. Free breakfast of coffee, tea, muffins, donuts, toast, cereal etc was appreciated. The local trolley lines (red and blue) made frequent stops in the parking lot which saved us driving to and parking at the beach. This is our second year here and we wouldnt hesitate to come back again

Clean and quiet. The movie night outside was cute! Offers breakfast. On the main street; lots to do in walking distance. A very nice experiuence.

Easy checkin. Friendly staff. Hot water. Quiet room. Good air conditioning. Great price.

Location, staff and amenities are all great. The fireplace, movies and breakfast all a great plus. The only reason we cant give five stars is because of the strong antiseptic smell.

The rooms are nice enough, clean, simple. The in-room fridge doesnt have a freezer section which would be nice for our ice packs. The pool has been in better condition in the past.

Room perfumed - strong. Toilet in next room recharged every five minutes. Squeaky bed. Got three flea bites overnight. Glad for continental breakfast, but should have had hard-boiled eggs, fruit and yogurt.
