Beds were comfortable but stopped there.We had issues with the shower, dirty sheets, door popping open and when brought to office managers attention I was treated very badly. We decided to just change room but we waited until 4:00 to check in to the second room but it still wasnt ready We decided to go across the road to a different hotel.However, the general manager, Scott, was a delight dealing with after our weekend and willingly refunded us.I understand everyone is stressed with COVID-19 and working ng extra hard. My husband is in healthcare and Im in childcare and experience the stress, but would never treat/speak to our patients or children the way she did. And, my friend, also in childcare, and I were there to destress from the virus stuff.I appreciate how I was treated by the general manager but the office manager needs some classes in customer service.

It was amazing

There are so many reasons why the Elmwood Resort earns 5 stars. For one, the staff is extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. The rooms are spotless, as a clean freak I am incredibly impressed. The rooms are homey, which is especially nice with children. We were not able to see all of the facilities due to COVID, but the outdoor pool is clean and refreshing. The resort is a close drive to multiple beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants. We are so happy that we stumbled upon the Elmwood Resort.

Loved our time here!!!! We were on a bus trip and everyone on the bus loved the stay here. Staff were so friendly and helpful! Already told my family if we come back to Maine we have to stay here.

Just a beautiful motel. Rooms are well-kept and clean. Felt like being home for an evening. Would definitely stop back. We were here during the off-season so the rates were about half but would definitely be worth full rate during peak. If we were to stay in this area again I would definitely stay here.

This business is taking advantage of my family during this pandemic. We booked our summer vacation back in the winter unsuspecting of the seriousness of the virus. Recently, we called to cancel our trip, understanding their policy of a full refund with a $25 loss if we canceled 2 weeks before the trip date. HOWEVER, now they are refusing to refund our down deposit, instead, giving us a “gift card” good for 3 years. NOWHERE on their website does it say the new policy put in place for the pandemic, It was never discussed in an email, and they never contacted us. Instead, when we called asking for our money back, we spoke to Scott and Nancy and they said to us “Well we didn’t tell you HOW you’d be refunded. If there wasn’t a pandemic we would give you your money back.” That is so manipulative, why would anyone want a gift card to stay here here after being treated like this? In addition, these people put into their computer system that my mother has cancer, and would be very understanding if we had to cancel. She even said she would get a doctor’s note. Since she is immunocompromised, we can’t travel and be around other people. Apparently that was a lie. Shame on them.

Our hotel room was so clean and spacious!! The staff was kind, and the location was quite good for the day trips we made to the beach and surrounding towns.Lovely lovely!! Thank you

The Elmwood Resort is located in Wells, Me. Our condo was equipped with a full kitchen, separate king bedroom, and living room with a full size couch and recliner. The only drawback was that the air conditioner was located in the bedroom. Thus making the kitchen and living room a bit warmer. Nice place overall.

Very impersonal. We requested fresh towels twice and didnt get any delivered. We had to stop a house keeper to make a third request.

Have stayed here about 6 times . Excellent. Clean and spacious and great value and amenities. However, encountered a lot of noise in the unit above which we were staying during our last visit. When we read the guest book this seems to be a recurring issue since two other guests noted the same issues. Evidently some young children are constantly running around endlessly and making noise that is very disturbing. I think management should look into this issue.

Absolutely THE NICEST gem Ive stayed at in this area. Ive Bowen vacationing in Wells-Ogunquit for over 20 years years (since I was a little girl) and this is simply the nicest place Ive landed. The biggest part of my traveling now, is that I have 5 (yes FIVE) kids to travel with. Our large size makes hotel bookings a difficult part of traveling. This place was an amazing place, not too expensive, and we all fit perfectly. It was basically a mini condo. Wish we stayed longer to enjoy all the amazing amenities, too!!

We love this place. Every time we come to Maine, we stay here. Great place for family and so much space in the rentals. I would way rather pay to stay here then the same price for a small room that shares its space with the table, tv and bed. My kids need to have the ability to move around. Plus there 2 pools and playground are awesome for the kids.

This is the 3rd time I stayed here with my young son. We have stayed in few other places in Wells area, but Elmwood is the best for us. It’s clean, spacious,convenient, kid friendly, quiet, friendly staff. The kitchen has everything that we needed, the heated indoor pool was fun.

The description on the website says it has spa services so I asked about it during check in.The lady at the desk was dumbfounded by my question. Then a guy from inside the room told her its no longer available. That it was managed by another person and they closed it down long time ago. I was very disappointed to say the least because the spa service was the reason why I booked in this resort. So we went in to our room and the carpet was smelly; the sort of smell you get when you clean with soap and water but not dry it completely. Needless to say, I had a difficult time relaxing and sleeping on the first night. I opened the windows to air out the room but to no avail. The heated salt water pool could be warmer. The location was convenient though; it is near everything in Wells.

The resort was great! We got cloudy weather for one day of our trip, so the heated outdoor pool was awesome to have! The resort was very clean and comfortable. Front desk (maybe owner) was sweet about making sure we knew if checkout interfered with nap we could stay a little later.

The property was very unique compared to a standard hotel. The home feel was great for the three of us. The salt water pool is a great addition. The townhouse itself was okay, it is in dire need of upgrades. The downstairs bathroom sink was clogged (we had to call maintenance), also the Keurig was broken and spilled water everywhere. The girl at the front desk was not very welcoming, very stoic and had zero customer service skills. She kind of had an attitude. Not going to stay there again.

Our room was a condo owned by an individual owner. It was totally renovated, clean and very comfortable.

Love visiting the Elmwood which we do multiple times a yr., however this unit wasnt as nice and comfortable as previous visits.

Super sweet rooms come fully set up with full size range with oven, full size refrigerator, microwave and all the cookware, plates and silverware you need, plus toaster, two tvs, pull put couch and separate bedroom!

Winter visit. Accommodations were clean, well-lit, warm, and had everything we needed for our stay. The house keeping staff were great and kept the place spotless. It was a comfortable stay at a great off-season price (3rd night was free after booking two). Definitely plan to stay again.

Great location for families. Our room had a bedroom upstairs and one down, 1 1/2 bathrooms, a small kitchen with diswasher, a small eating area and living room. There are two pools both heated one indoor one outdoor. The guest and staff are very friendly. Movie night outside each night weather permitting. Ill be staying again.

Weve stayed here 3 times in the winter with our gymnastics team and have never been disappointed. We rent the rooms with 2 bedrooms which is very spacious and has 2 floors. The decor is very tastefully designed. The rooms have always been very clean and everything is in full working order. The indoor pool is a great place for all the kids to hang out. I took advantage of the free pass to the health club down the road. We are always excited to stay at the Elmwood Resort.

The condos here are nice, though if you find a nice one make sure to request it next year if you plan to come back or whenever you plan to come back. Some of the units are nicer than others, for sure. The pool is nice and there is a sauna which are great to be able to utilize. They have ample parking, and it really is just what you need if you’re in the area to stay for a short time. Shopping is close and everything is basically pretty convenient. There is a Dunkin’ Donuts right across the street.

My husband and I go every year on Valentines Day for the weekend get away package, if it’s the weekend otherwise we book closest to that time. We’ve fed. Going got over 21 years now. This place has the best accommodations in the area with the best deals. The rooms are always nice and they’re super clean. The 2 bedroom is great for a family because the 2nd bedroom is upstairs for the loud kids!! Staff is great, the inside pool is nice, we’ve never bed. There when the outside pool is open. I’m going there this Thursday for 3 nights and I can’t wait!!!

Its a nice experience being in Maine and being able to come back to your lodging and having a full equipped kitchen. With the outdoor barbecue, we were setup perfectly for a beach holiday.The staff at the Elmwood were always nice and ready to help. The other guests were decent folks and no one was rowdy.The kids enjoyed the 2 pools. The pools were well maintained and clean.Very comfortable.

Positive: Felt like home away from home. WiFi was strong enough to stream movies from Netflix and play online games. Came with a fully stocked kitchen (utensils, wine opener, ice tray, bowls ect.). Was very pleased Negative: No hot tub. Could hear other guests walking around in the room above us

Checkin was fine. Staff was friendly.Some of the sheets had stains on them. I requested replacement sheets and they obliged very quickly.The room was very outdated. Had funny smell almost like moisture.I personally wouldnt recommend this place.

Enjoyed our 3-night stay at Elmwood. Each of the rooms is individually furnished and it gives a special charm to the room. Ours was very well taken-care of, with everything we needed in the kitchen and cozy decorative touches around the living space. The common spaces include two pools, a playground and an outdoor area with yard games and nightly movies, and there was even live music one night. Located close to a good number of restaurants, grocery, drug stores, and just a short drive from the coast and beaches. Loved our stay. Thanks for having us.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. The units are well maintained and each one has personal touches. This is definitely a step above most other accommodations in the area and we wouldnt stay anywhere else now that we have stayed at the Elmwood.

My parents have been staying here for years. My wife and I decided to book a room here on our weekend trip to Maine. Greatly enjoyed our stay. Our room was more like an apartment rather than a hotel room. Right on Route 1, easy access to all the coastal Maine attractions.

Really nice place. The room was comfortable and well appointed, and the bed was new and awesome. Staff was universally friendly, the kids loved the pools and we had fun at the music night. We only stayed a couple nights but could see it as a great home base for a full week in the area. Very close to Laudholm Farms and the Rachel Carson nature preserves.

Wonderful hotel with a convenient but quiet location. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean, comfortable and feel like part of a home. Kitchen in each room comes with dining and silverware, as well as glasses. The only thing that could be better is the WiFi, but that is my only complaint. I love staying here!

Stay Away. Service is better at a cheap motel. HD to sleep on the floor for two days until they fixed the bed. Better places around with nicer rooms and service. Better rates. Research them. I wish I had. This place is Aweful

BEST HOTEL EVER! Ignore price, they got features that are superb. They have an outdoor movie with a fireplace and connect 4. We were expecting a standard hotel-motel, but was AMAZING! Our room was suppose to have a king bed and queen sofa bed, but we also get another mini-er sofa, rocking chair, and a recliner with a FULL kitchen. We got, for free for the hotel room, a puzzle, 2 card decks, tic-tac-toe, and MANY other cool features. There are also separate indoor and outdoor pools. Come.

I am staying long term during the winter months. My first week has gone well. The place is clean, they are busy doing upkeeps, painting and such. They recently put Keurig coffee makers in the rooms and replaced the locks. There are laundry facilities onsite, indoor and outdoor pools, a picnic area with grills in the summer months. They give you access to a fitness club just down the street. There are a few grocery stores nearby and a movie theater.

Great place will come back next year for sure!!

Other than their smoking policy (under a canopy at the end of the parking lot) it was great. Full kitchen nice bath with lots of fresh towels and a comfy bed (King)

First of all its a nice resort, with two big pools, movie and concert nights, free popcorn, a little playground, lawn games, and bbqs (gas grills) free to use.Its close to a nice supermarket, and Congdons (breakfast, lunch, and after dark food trucks).If you dont mind waiting for a trolley, it takes you to the decent wells beach.The 2BR has a nicely stuffed kitchen, two double, and one queensized bed...One star off because, when we arrived with a baby and a toddler, after a long journey, we were kind of shocked to learn that our apartment would be on the second floor, very fun with two strollers. We adapted to that situation, but it would have been nice if we would have known in advance that all 2BRs are located upstairs. On our arrival the girl at the reception was like well all our 2BRs are on the 2nd floor, in a way that felt very unfriendly. We were tired and shocked, I know she couldnt change the facts, but I would have expected more of a if you need a hand let us know response. The rest of the time the staff was helpful and nice.When we entered the apartment we got the second shock, nowhere did we see a steep staircase on the photos of the rooms. It was a large and spacious apartment, but with two young kids and no child safety doors it wasnt putting us at ease with the situation.Our toddler managed to fall down half of the stairs only once during our whole trip, so everythings good.The rooms were fine, the beds on the softer side, and it would be good if somebody would vacuum under the beds as well every once in a while (lots of dust flakes, not so fun when youre retrieving a little car toy from under the bed).The other guests in the resort were friendly, theyre some permanent residents who were very nice.If you want to stay in Wells, we can recommend the place, but with kids, Id prefer to stay closer to the ogunquit beach, which has so much more to offer with the lazy river, and the open sea side, than Wells beach.

The elmwood was a great weekend stay with super comfortable furniture and beds, nicely decorated, with great furnished kitchen. It was a good time even in the off season! Staff was friendlyand accommodating and eager to assist. I was able to pay up front instead of dealing with the old hotel holding your money on your card until you leave. The pool hours could have been later but I assume it was because of the off-season which is understandable. The pool chemicals were very strong and caused major discomfort to our eyes so maybe next time well bring our goggles!All in all great stay!!

The staff is so friendly and welcoming! Units are all furnished differently, some have more kitchen things which is nice. Weve been back 4 times since spending our first wedding anniversary here and will plan to return again and again!
