Love this park, the city does a great job maintaining it! And the little life jacket sharing rack was a great idea

Great park, its a shame the city of Weatherford uses a hidden corner of it as theyre own private landfill

Fishing is decent. A great place to relax and throw a few poles.

Always a good place to visit. Had an awesome play area for the kiddos, boat launch (used mostly for kayaks), soccer fields and picnic areas are both open and covered by trees. Fishing is fun and not over crowded. Overall great place.

Really nice little lake. You can fish swim and hike around the lake. Ill be back for sure. Do some swimming and some fishing f again.

I used to go here when I was a teen and loved this place, my husband and I was in weatherford and decided to have lunch out there. i could not believe the way that park looks now..so sad!

The park is well kept, peaceful with plenty of tables and shade. Families enjoyed swimming, fishing, kayaking, and relaxing.

Excellently maintained. Cartwright Park is a rare example of your tax dollars doing great work.

The lake is really cleaned up nice park sunshine lake I have grown up on and share alot if memories the lake had never looked so great glad to see that

Trees need trimming and potholes need to be fixed but 5 start forsure

Very awesome. But watch out for snakes! We have come across a few! But theres also a playground here and places to swim and fish.

Not a bad place to spend an afternoon. You can grill out, fish in Sunshine lake and let the kids play in the playground. Not a place we visit often though.

Has many fields next to each other. Parking is very nice there. Be carful for the ants though if you site in the hill facing field 10 or 11.

Nice place but needs better upkeep, lots of broken glass and the porta pot by the playground was disgusting, really needs an actual bathroom. The lake was great and the ducks were adorable ️

It would be a awesome park if the city would invest some money in the park and allow camping as long as you have a permit.

Cartwright Park has a relaxing atmosphere, baseball fields, soccer fields,play ground, fishing, swimming and picnic areas. Also the Mineral Wells state park trail begins near the entrance of the park.

Clean little park hidden away. We like coming out here to walk and enjoy the small lake. There are also a few geocaches in this park. Nice playground area also this place has baseball fields and soccer fields. Im sure its busy in the weekends but the place is yours during the week.

Its a park, little bit of equipment for kids to play on, a lake, and fields... usually pretty quiet.

You can fish for free if you have a license. Theres a playground and picnic tables and a portapotty

Good place for hiking, fishing or bird watching. But the pavilions and playgrounds tend to stay full and dirty.

This park is fair. The upkeep could be better, but it does the job.

Fun for a short time. Kids are entertained for 3-4 hours playing in the water and on the playground. Nice views, some neat birds and lots of shade.

Best for fishing for catfish not for bass at this time around. But the catfishing is kinda easy but hard to catch big ones

Kids had an awesome time. Caught 3 little guys but had a blast

I love this place. Beautiful views good bank fishing and on Mondays we are the only people there.

Nice place to fish

Nice and easy hike. Bring your kids or even your horse. It is pretty flat and is kept up. I use it with my daughter to begin conditioning for thru-hikes this summer.

While the views are not necessarily awe-inspiring, the park is well-kept and calm

This is a great little park with wide open spaces some guys fly their remote controlled airplanes there.

Rambling driving path. Plenty of activities to do. Playground, fishing, soccer and football and baseball fields. Clearly marked parking.

Awesome trails nearby for biking, they go on for miles.
